1. Both main characters or strong independent females, known for their intelligence, athleticism, and beauty 2. Both have a secret that they try to hide from they school 3. Both main males find out the secret 4. Both main males have *intense* pasts (I don't think Kaichou wa Maid-sama goes too much into Usui's past though) Both lovely romance animes. Truly enjored it thoroughly

Note: This recommendation is many months after I watched the animes Both animes contain a somewhat/complete tsundere female as well as the weaker male that grows into the reliable love interest. As implied, the female is more reliable than the male, but the male still comes through to save the female.

Hataraku Maou-sama!

Similarities: - The main character has plenty of power, but decides not to use it out of preference for the normal world. In other words, both take priority to the modern world oppose to the super natural world - Both animes are filled with similar comedy Differences: - In Hataraku Maou-sama, the main objective becomes surviving in the human world. In Blood Lad, the main objective is reviving a human girl. - Maou-sama takes place in the human world, Blood Lad takes place in the super natural world

Ao no Exorcist

Strike the Blood
|
Similarities: - the main character is stuck with a superior power to the common man - neither character wanted the power in the first place - both animes have humor mixed into the deep plot, although Ao no Exorcist would be stronger in humor Differences: - Strike the Blood is a bit more... mature? Perhaps?
