An isekai with a seemingly overpowered magic thirsty protagonist who also happens to be the princess of a powerful kingdom…what chaos will arise? Firstly I’d like to start off with the fact that I’m so happy this series is getting a really great anime adaptation! With that aside here are my thoughts on Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei.

Characters: 9/10
Honestly I adore the characters in the LN. Anis, the main protagonist is probably one of the most chaotic and charismatic protagonists out there. Her character seems to be a little shallow at first, classic case of “ oh it’s an overpowered isekai protagonist” ... however the further you get into the series the more she becomes a rather complex and even more admirable character. As for the side lead, Euphie, at first she seems like a rather blank slate (again pretty shallow) but seeing her grow as a character throughout the books in a very natural way just plays to how well the author can write complicated characters. All of the other characters also have very human traits and don’t remain shallow background characters (with some exceptions just as any story) I’d recon the main characters are definitely the most interesting however.

Art: 9/10
The illustrations in the LN really bring the vivid scenes and playfulness of the characters to life.

Story: 8/10
The story starts off a tad slow but with the charming Anis it doesn’t feel too redundant. I wouldn’t say the main plot is exceptional, it takes several storylines that are prevelant in fantasy/ isekai and does them, justice. I do enjoy the way they treat magic and how the main character who’s obsessed with magic but doesn’t have any decides to basically reinvent the system. I’m not certain how the plot will progress after the 3rd volume but I’m looking forward to it. Decent story so far but nothing to ride home for.

Romance: 9/10
The main characters have so much chemistry later on but it’s a little bit of a slow burn. Seeing the romance progress naturally is quite refreshing though. It gets surprisingly spicy later on! Even if the romance isn’t the main focus it’s a wonderful part of the story.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I absolutely love this series! It’s a lot more tame (GL wise) than some of its other isekai GL LNs but the way the characters are written and the story and romance progress throughout make this an absolutely enjoyable read. Definitely a refreshing isekai with a very charming main character. 10/10 recommended

I love how dark this series is! Initially wanted to read it for the GL (it’s definitely more of a slow burn but it’s pretty well done) but stayed for the gory and action packed fights. The world and characters are really nicely fleshed out. I also really enjoyed the way the author manages to describe extremely gruesome scenes in a way that paints a perfectly disgusting picture. In terms of the story itself, so far it’s a little tropey (getting kicked out of the hero’s party, with most of the characters in said party just being assholes and the main character having a unique ... gimmick/power) but later on the story focuses more on the main character, her relationships and her development. As for the Girls Love aspect, it’s cute, very cliché, but develops at a realistic rate so it’s a little bonus.

Overall I’m really enjoying this series for its violent action. An interesting spin on fantasy tropes, nothing too special for the GL and a tad cliché. 7/10

I was disappointed when I read that the author put this manga on hold. I was really liking the story! Wish the story could’ve been completed (still hoping) However I will give my honest on what has been published so far.

There is non current synopsis on Mal as of this date so here’s a little resume if you’re interested!
So Touko-san was Kaji ga Dekinai is the story about a Akari, a high schooler who goes to live with this older office lady named Touko. Akari quickly realizes how Toukou can’t take care of herself or her home so she tries her best to help her ... out. A relationship starts to bloom between them. However, even if Touko looks perfect from the outside Akari is determined to learn more about Touko’s mysterious past when she sees items that appear to be someone else’s in their appartement.

I was really starting to enjoy this series, the art is great and the main characters are interesting even this early in the manga. You could tell that the author was planning on building up this more mature slice of life romance from the start. I found the very slice of life aspects to be a tad generic but they still had charm. As for the the GL aspect, it’s clearly prevalent from the get go. Really hoping the author will one day continue this!

This is Musshus first work (thats registered on MAL) so I wanted to check it out after seeing that they were the illustrator for the Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wakenaijan, Muri Muri! (*Muri Janakatta!?) manga that’s the only real reason why I think someone would want to read this (if they were interested in the author)

It’s such a short one shot that I honestly couldn’t go in depth. It’s basically a cute conversation about this school girl calling another one the nickname of a cute stray cat and the conversation goes on for a few more pages, I’m not sure if it was meant ... to be comedic or not but I honestly thought the story was going to be longer so I was mostly confused. I thought the art was pretty clean though. I have no clue how this is GL but I guess the blond girl teasing the black hair girl and making her blush is sweet. If you want to read shojo ai for the sake of reading it go for it! (It might make a good read on a quick bus trip or something)

This was such a cute read, I’m really sad that it’s so short. There 2 stories packed into the single volume. One about a witch and a witch hunter and the other about a human kindhearted human that can see the supernatural.

Firstly I’d like to say that the art was amazing in my opinion, loved the style. The character designs are super cute (especially the witch and the demons) I also thought that the action scenes were well done. The story for both stories are pretty simple but really cute. On top of that the GL aspect was super wholesome. The characters themselves were well ... fleshed out for having so little page time.

If you want a short and sweet story to kill some time I highly recommend Majo ga Koisuru 5-byoumae!

I find it sad this Citrus is the most popular (not exactly in a good way) Girl love anime. It’s a terrible depiction of any sort of romance. Frankly I’m just disappointed the manga is just as bad if not worse. But as I’m on a goal to watch all the yuri anime (and this was my first stop) I must try my best to not turn this review into an angry rant.

Romance 1/10
For people who want Yuri recommandations (or just a good romance recommendation) and are wondering if this is a good GL series, I can say with confidence that it is not. ... Pretty much all the romantic scenes are clear fetishization of a lesbian relationship (if you can even call it that) Sexual assault is treated as something that’s meant to be arousing and the relationship development between the two main characters is laughably bad. The one good point for the romance category is that there is actual physical intimacy (consensual or not) such as kissing and handholding and it’s well animated.

Story 4/10
In its 12 episodes, Citrus manages to fetishize every relationship going as far as to depict scenes that are clearly sexual assault as something that’s acceptable and even romantic/arousing. I don’t even want to start about the incest (which is one of the least offensive parts) It layers on so many coats of drama that it just becomes a hilariously terrible watch. The story does develop at an alright pace for all that that’s worth. Overall the story is nothing remarkable, it’s a bad slice of life when stripped to its core.

Characters 5/10
The main character Yuzu is your typical gyaru character who just wants to have a good high school life until she is basically sexually assaulted by the student council president Mei, later to revealed as Yuzu’s step sister. The two main characters have ok personalities, fleshed up well enough for them being thrown into such a plot. Their interactions (outside of the sexual ones) are realistic enough. The side characters are more there to add to the drama than anything else. If they’re not part of it they really aren’t that all memorable.

Animation/Sound/Voice Acting 6/10
The animation is arguably the best part of this anime (not really saying much though) not in terms of what they are animating but just in general. The sound design is very forgettable. The Voice acting was well done, props to the voice actors for actually wanting (and doing a good job) to voice in this shit show.

Enjoyment 3/10
If you want to watch a train crash in 12 episodes (with most of them being unimportant) go for it. If you’re looking for a good girls love series that covers LGBTQ+ topics well forget about this series and go watch bloom into you or something.

As I was on the yuri harem train i discovered Maou to yuri. With only a few chapters out so far I can’t really say how well the story will progress however I’m enjoying the ride. Here’s a quick more in-depth look at the story: With the previous demon queen killed by humans years ago a new demon queen has come to town. Concerned about the Maou's well being, her minister tells her that she should get a human consort as to prove that the demons are not at war with the humans anymore. The demon queen now needs to choose a queen to stop ... a potential world ending war.

This social media choose your own adventure has really great art and has done a good job fleshing out the main cast so far (even with the relatively short chapters) I enjoy the fact that the readers get to choose the relationship advancements with Maou, may the best girl win!

Honestly I’m really impressed. I was searching for another manga yet stumbled upon this short and sweet one shot. The art is great and I really appreciate the way the author deals with several LGBTQ+ themes so well in such a short time. Koisuru Sugar Cotton brings up themes like transgenderism in children (with a young trans girl being bullied for wanting to just be herself) On top of giving a little insight into lesbian couples (as the older main character needs to break up with her girlfriend because of the fact her girlfriend wanted children.) Overall magnificently well done for such a short story. ... Worth the read 100%

With a name like butterfly 69 I needed to read this for the yuri dex. At first I was a tad confused about the different stories but there’s 6 in total. Most of them are one chapter (roughly 30 ish pages each) All the stories told are mostly about certain struggles when it comes to being in a relationship and what getting through those struggles will reveal. The art starts off a little rough, however, you see it gradually getting better as the chapters go by. (The last chapter being Spicy sweets with the best art in my opinion) My favourite story was the one ... actually called Butterfly 69. It consisted of more than one chapter and it managed to flesh out the characters relatively well (even if they do fall into quite a few tropes) There’s a little symbolism in all the chapters, some more obvious, some superficial.

For the manga being 6 short spicy (kinda) yuri stories it works well in a magazine but not so much in a full book format. If you want to say you’ve read a manga called butterfly 69, honestly, just go for it!

A yuri spin on a classic harem setting. Very enjoyable so far. The story is quite simple but all the characters are really likeable. Basically Sorakie chan wants to get a girlfriend in college and accidentally forms a lesbian harem with all the girls liking a certaine trait she has (voice, smell, skin etc..) She quickly realized that she needs to choose one to go out with however she is conflicted as she feels strongly towards all of them. This is a relatively new release so the story isn’t remotely advanced but I’m sure that you’ll enjoy this cute (and sometimes spicy) yuri harem ... story with several best girls just like I am!
