Naruto returns completely different, yet unchanged; yaoi fangirls, filler, and cliche friendship speeches still ruin it for the most part.
Shippuuden and the original naruto are by far the most overrated anime since Gundam Wing. I read the manga up to where it is now, and I can see how it got there, but how the anime maintains fans still amazes me. The fans are classified as "Narutards" to the public, due to its overwhelming popularity.
They provide 20 or 40 episodes of filler after 20 slow plot episodes, and it's just not funny at this point. I already stopped watching it an entirely moved back to
...
the manga. The manga still manages to keep me interested, but the anime is dead to me. I loved shippuuden until the filler started getting ridiculous. I don't know what those guys in the anime industry are doing, but it's screwed up how they love to send their ratings plummeting into the ground so often.
Originally, Shippuuden was an anime that had everything; tons of suspense, meaningful death scenes, and touching moments, but now it's just another anime about some grown man that acts like a kid chasing after a homicidal maniac that used to be a "Friend" of his.
Do I need to say anything else to get the point across that shipuuden is only good for so long?

Gundam SEED Destiny is a direct Sequel to Gundam SEED. It's been rated as the worst Gundam anime ever. I highly beg to differ. It's not much as a sequel, but as its own anime, it's outstanding.
STORY - 8/10
To be honest, you shouldn't under any circumstances watch Destiny directly after finishing SEED. You'll see nothing but the same, and with SEED always stuck in your head, the good parts of Destiny's story are going to be left out. In fact; forget everything you know about Gundam SEED except for the coordinator-natural stuff, as well as the guys who played some large roles in the
...
first series.
Once all that's out of the way, Destiny is a blast. It managed to maintain a fair amount of action while giving it what could be called a more "lively" story. Half of SEED was just a bunch of guys in a ship trying to get resupplied, Destiny did that differently, in the way that the main characters are on the offensive this time. Ok,the story was above average, to put it simply. It's not as terrible as many think.
ART - 8
The mecha designs were unique and memorable, as expected from SEED. The animation style was easy to look at and settle into, and the character designs for the new characters aren't 100% generic and cliche.
SOUND - 10
I'll come out and say it right now: The soundtrack was the biggest pro of Destiny. I've never gotten so much enjoyment out of a Mecha OST that I did in Destiny. And it did something pretty unique here: It made the ending songs better than the opening themes while keeping the OPs excellent. Sound effects and etc is something nobody really pays attention to, so I'm going to ignore that part. Voice Acting is in the same section.
Characters - 6
By far, Destiny's weakest aspect. Some teenager's family dies (because of his sister's cell phone (which he blamed on the federation), dedicated his life to taking vengeance for his family (Narutards should recognize that character setup) and joined the Z.A.F.T military, the SEED version of Zeon. The rest of the characters were left half-developed, and were all uninteresting from the start. The only character worthy of note was the new Chairman of Zeo- Z.A.F.T, who was one of those characters who acted like a living saint, but was really just preparing a plan that would trash people's lives for the greater good.
Enjoyment - 10
I enjoyed it a lot. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much, but I did. Certainly more than a lot of other people did.
Overall: I was left wanting more. A lot more. So many predictable plot twists were left unsolved, and the ending didn't particularly feel like anything had been solved.

Higurashi is without a doubt, the greatest murder-mystery anime of the decade.
At first, the story is told from the perspective of a boy moving into a small town, which I forget the name of. The entire story revolves around supernatural events occurring within this town.
Our main character *SPOILER WARNING* whom I have also forgotten the name of, dies after about 3 episodes (in a very bloody fashion, I might add) *SPOILERS END HERE*
Then, the story is told from different perspectives, slowly unraveling the mysterious "Curse of the Shrine God" that has been occurring for the past few years. This curse will kill people
...
without warning, and without explanation, and it will be bloody under normal circumstances. The curse becomes later, more logically explainable until the mystery of it is finally unraveled.
Higurashi will use the commonly used horror aspect of a "Murderous Little Girl" that is so popular in Japanese Horror themes. But it was actually scary (for once) and so well done, unlike normally.
Higurashi is an anime that builds up a lot of expectations and makes you think. It's a story and a puzzle at the same time, and as you continue along the story, the puzzle solves itself. The characters were given lots of development in such a short amount of time, it's actually quite surprising.
I recommend Higurashi to anyone that likes murder mysteries, or anyone that wants to get into them.

Gundam Wing is one of those anime that I just can't comprehend. Every bit of it was perfectly made, yet, I just can't bring myself to fall in love with it like the rest of the world has. It's politically realistic, The story is well done, the art style is unique, the mobile suits are awesome, and I could even go on forever.
There's so much good, yet so few things bad. I've only been able to figure out one thing that I don't like about Gundam Wing; the main characters.
We have five Gundam pilots sent to earth from space colonies to crush the corrupt
...
military force, OZ. I love the Gundams in wing. We have a transformer, the Wing Gundam, where the series got its name. It transforms into a fighter jet. It's probably the least interesting of the five. Next, there's the Deathscythe Gundam. Obviously the best of the five. The name is already interesting enough, but it's got a black coat of paint, and it has a beam scythe. If you don't think that's just plain cool, lay off the pot. The following two gundams are totally uninteresting. One has a high power chaingun, then Sandrock has farming tools for weapons. Lame. They're not even beam weapons either. Then there's Nataku which is almost as interesting as the Deathscythe, but not quite.
The story starts with Operation Meteor, where the Gundams drop onto earth and start destroying military facilities. Eventually the gundam pilots meet up and realize who each other is. Eventually, they all join forces, and the world turns upside down.
The soundtrack is outstanding. The opening themes, the ending themes, the background music, it's all outstanding. I shouldn't need to clarify the perfection of Gundam Wing's OST.
I had very limited enjoyment of Wing. Although it was realistic and interesting in every way, i just couldn't bring myself to watch more than 2 or 3 episodes a day. I don't understand why, but I just didn't enjoy it that much.
I reccommend this anime to anyone that likes a deep plot and great action. The most attractive aspect of Gundam Wing is, in my opinion, the conflict of the political idealogies present. The world itself is thrown up in confusion on who their friends are, who their foes are, and even what their own place is in the world. This is true for both nations and individuals.
Gundam Wing is just plain awesome.

Please note, that Giniro no Olynsis contains time travel, thus the plot makes barely any sense when you try explaining it, so, read the description or watch the show if you want to make sense of it yourself.
Gin'iro no Olynsis is a Gundam clone. That's pretty clear. The art style bears massive resemblance to the ever attractive Gundam SEED. Whilst the plot takes notable similarities to Gundam X. However, Gin'Iro no Olynsis tried to be original, but failed on a high note.
GnO mostly focused on a cliche romance between two completely uninteresting characters, Tokito and Tia.
The plot begins with, of course, an explanation of
...
the bland, postapocalyptic world they live in. The earth is completely in shambles and civilization is back to point one (Except for their weapons, of course) The people who survived whatever disaster hit the earth are plagued by mechs (Supposedly unmanned) called Gardeners who came from the moon for no clear purpose. There are people who travel around what's left of the earth destroying these gardeners and selling their parts to make their way in life. Tokito, our main character, is part of one of these many salvaging groups. Let's just face the facts. They're just Vultures from Gundam X without a real name for themselves.
Our cast is what you would expect from a Gundam clone; a bunch of people on a traveling ship. They pass by a village, and through a course of events, Some braindead girl named Tia comes out of nowhere and believes Tokito to be her lost boyfriend "Koichi." The plot advances by her being more attracted to Tokito than the Koichi, who is currently lost to history.
My main turnoff was how terribly bland the characters were. You have Tokito, also known as Brunette Naruto. He's the typical do-gooder that makes for a terrible character. He lacks personality in every way (He thinks like a girl; Blames himself for every damn thing and never thinks with his balls for once) Tia is a bit like Stella from Gundam SEED Destiny. She's totally unnattractive, and is in fact, a bit annoying. She's absolutely brainless.
Now lets get to the good.
The art style, although stolen from Gundam SEED, was very well done, although the clothing choice was terrible. Its like they all wear the same outfit, except the "Mysterious Sexy Bitch" (I'm not shitting you. She actually addressed herself as that when she came into the plot.) who dresses in full black while being blonde.
The Music is pretty damn good. I personally love the opening theme. Though I notice it sounds very similar to a certain Gundam opening.
This is one of those anime that were better left short. It feels like the episodes last forever, yet they're the average 24 minutes you see in any anime.
I wouldn't recommend watching this unless you are completely out of options.
