This review is for people who think that story of this Manga is nothing outstanding.
From the moment the author started this manga he emphasized humanity. And he told his story over character. Lubu and Thor are the weakest I agree they stand for solitude because no one at their peer so they seeking for battle as humans have been solitude because there are not species that stand equal to them. Therefore, Thor win since the solitude of a god is beyond human reach.
Adam vs Zeus. Their fight stands for love and freedom. The author told the story of Adam clearly but did not

pay that much love for the story of Zeus. I know that he wants people to sympathy with humanity. Adam stands for love since he loves every single one of his children so he is resilient no matter how hard Zeus hit he did not fall. However, Zeus is the embodiment of freedom. He took back his freedom from fight off his father. As a result, Zeus's win is inevitable since there is not a chance that freedom can be oppressed even in the name of love.
Kojiro vs Poseidon. This one is easy and I think everyone grasps it. This is between improvement vs perfection. There is not thing perfect no matter how high or intelligent, there is always room to improve. Therefore, Kojiro won. (I really hype for this arc but I think this is the most cliche act of this manga.)
Jack the Ripper vs Heracles. In my opinion, this fight is the most stand out among all of them. This fight is the reason I put this manga equal to Berserk in my list. This fight is not about God VS Human but Humanity VS Humanity. Heracles stand for the goodness of all mankind, no matter how bad he was treated or how grim was his situation he perseveres and overcomes. This is the idealism of humanity therefore he reaches the realm of god since a human can not always persevere and overcome. On the other hand, Jack the ripper stands for malicious (evil) of humanity. However, in the manga, the author stated clearly that this evil is the product of humanity born from betraying, lying, forsaken. This was born from humanity so this evil is a part of humanity. I have to admit that in this fight, I do not want any side to win and the author delivered that. Jack the Ripper won the fight but lose the idea, this resembles real humanity. No matter how hard we try to be good there would be an evil ready to pull us down and most of the time those evil successes. However, goodness cannot be destroyed by those malicious ideals since humans always yearn for those warm light. Just as Jack the Ripper said if he has a wish, he wishes to see Heracles again. Moreover, the author puts another symbolism in this arc. Heracles embraced Jack but the crown throw stones at him. This show that the true goodness of human love all of them equally no matter the sin those humans committed but human rejected their own since they view it as atrocities, abominations, MONSTERS. And this hit really hard since the ones who do not love humanity are not gods but humanity themselves. I cannot do justice for this arc because this is so good. I need a 5 pages essay to complete dissect this arc.
So for people who think that "Individual story is good not mean the whole story is good." My answer is that because you only look at the facade, my friends. This is the story of human evolution. From the moment humans stand out from other species, then they go against their parents when the grown-up later they have to learn and improve through mistake. After their life was stable they start to care about good and bad things. This kind of writing is reverse writing which I learn from Yoko Taro. The author thinks about the message they want to deliver and work back from it. This method is very unique as readers catch in confusion until they read through all the stories for them to understand the beginning.
This is my take of this mange. It might be wrong but for now, I stand behind this. I wish this will not be the second Berserk (the author will never fish his story.)
