I thought I knew some pretty good anime -
I thought I had already seen the best ones -
I thought I have seen anime with an amazing development -
But then, there's this -
My review of 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann'
****!This review is not going to contain spoilers!****
This, this is the first anime, which REALLY left me speechless.
...
From time to time while watching this, you might think that it is going to be over soon - but it keeps getting back to you - no matter in what situations these characters are.
There really is something 'magical' about this story.
I don't exactly know what it is - but I'm sure it's there.
This anime was released in 2007, so you might think that its animation would be boring - but you're so wrong.
Especially with the last few episodes - you're going to think that it is an anime which was just released recently.
Though anime doesn't just shine through animation.
Don't worry. Gurren Lagann's got you covered.
In my opinion and probably in many others as well, it's got much more than beautiful animated scenes.
It's got amazing Characters. Each and every single one of them builds a relationship with YOU while you're watching this. You're going to feel for them - even though you only knew them for what?
A few episodes??
You're going to feel as if you've known them for the whole of your life if not even longer than the existence of our universe!
It's not going to be just a few tears - more like a lake - no - an ocean of them! That's how close they felt to me!
Each one with their very own personalities, strenghts and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, friends and family.
You're going to get all sucked in the action each and every episode.
This beautiful and well thought-through story keeps making things more and more and more and dozen times more interesting and intense each episode.
This effect is being supported by the right choice of background music (OST) which does the job even better.
What is really making the anime so great for me has to be the ending.
An ending, which some of my other favourite anime are either missing or cutting of way worse than this did.
Usally, I'm sad when I see the ending, because I don't want to leave them and want to see their next adventure.
But this last episode - it just left me speechless.
It told me that every character was okay now.
Nothing crazy can happen anymore.
That is, why it is okay to say 'Sayonara' to them and the beautiful anime
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
I Loved it sooo much, I can't really explain...
Simon, Kamina, Yoko, Nia, Kittan and all the others,

****WATCH OUT FOR SPOILERS!****
This is the first anime I've ever watched.
Back then, I didn't even know anime existed.
But I know one thing for sure - I loved this series.
Its atmosphere was so lovely... so where the characters and the story was not always just funny, but serious at the right moments.
Heidi, the protagonist girl, a pure and nice girl from the city is moving due to her mothers work (or so I remember). She's moving into the alps to her 'uncle' Öhi. First, they're pretty split up, but they begin to grow friends who can't be seperated. Her new friend Peter is in
...
charge of watching over a horde of goats. They always climb to the top of the alps and are having a stunning view from up there.
But things are not staying that way...
It's been a long time since I last watched it, so I'm probably going to check this out once again so I can write a more detailed review for this.
Right now, with all the things I can remember, I give this a 8/10.

Angeloid - my favourite ecchi manga of all time.
Well, I love every aspect of this anime, but the one thing that lacks of something is the story. Especially with the ending, I think that could've been done a lot better. It's just to open and to random in my opinion.
The artstyle and the characters are lovely.
Tomoki - a perverted teenage boy addicted to porn and panties, but really dramatic in the right moments
Sohara - a cute highschool girl taking care of Tomoki and always acting lady-like. But she's another person if you look at her from the inside
Eishiro - a 'crazy' but also smart student
...
always performing weird experiments
Mikako - the violence loving schools president
And Ikaros, Nymph and Astraea - one really shy, one really sassy and the other one kind of dumb.
With these characters combined, you can just can't not fall in love with this manga and/ or anime adaption.

This has been the first manga I bought in my life. Back then, in 2013, I only could afford to buy one manga every month, so it took me a long time to finish it. But reading it was always very exciting and it was soooo hard waiting for the next chapter.
So, well. What is it about? Sorry for eventual mistakes, I haven't read or watched it's adaption in a long time.
It's about the life of Maka and Soul, who are students in the school of a Shinigami (Death God??). But this school is not an ordinary school, no.
Every student in it is either
...
a weapon master or a weapon. So the students need to get a partner to get started and after they've found one, they start to train to slay these beings who've 'left' the human way of living. The souls of these creatures have turned into so-called Kishin-eggs. And a Kishin is basically a really strong and evil monster which just keeps killing humans in fear of dying.
But before they turn into A Kishin, they have to consume lots of human souls.
The objective of the school is to pretend a new Kishin from hatching.
After the weapon of one of the students ate 99 'dark' souls and 1 witch soul, they become way stronger and graduate from the school.
After collecting 99 souls, the two protagonists finally beat the cat-witch Blair,
which turns out to be just a cat and not a witch, so they have to start collecting souls from 0.
After that, they slowly begin to realize, that there's a Kishin really close to them...
The artstyle is really clean and there's some nice ecchi here and there.
Same goes for the characters. All really different and unique.
I loved this and I still do.
10/10

A long time after I stopped watching this, I decided to go back and finish Overlord II. Well, was it worth it? And why did I even stop watching it?
****Might contain spoilers****
After watching season 1 and even season 3 of Overlord, I decided to go through the pain of the first few episodes again. And still, watching lizards having sex wasn't enjoyable for me at all. This has also been the reason why I stopped watching this in the first place - but believe me when I say:
Once you're done with that part, this adaption really begins to shine.
In the second part of
...
the season, we're getting introduced to another one of Momon's (or Ainz Ooal Gown's) servants - Sebas Tian.
I really enjoyed watching him as he makes his creator 'Touch Me' proud through saving everybody, woh is in the need of help.
Your really get to know him a lot more in this season.
As for Lord Ainz is trying to become famous as 'Momon the adventurer' through the help of his servants.
There were so many amazing fighting scenes in this season and the CG was used almost perfectly.
The music in the ending was also top notch, but I really dislike the opening sequence.
I'd love to give this a 9 or even a 10, but the lizard part made that really hard for me. That's why this is a 8/10 for me.

This is really, really cool!
Such an amazing idea from Mercedes, to advertise their A-Class through a short anime movie!
It's basically about a girl, whose bike got taken away for parking wrong or something like that. On her way home I guess, she saw the legendary Ramen truck passing her. Luckily, two dudes noticed it as well and she got into their A-Class Mercedes and chased it down.
First, they lost it, but after a while it passed them again.
After making a dangerous stunt with the car, they finally got to eat the ramen.
But the owner mentions a legendary tofu truck...
Not much to say about
...
story and characters, but the artstyle of this fascinated me...
8/10 for this amazing idea to advertise a car!

Boy, oh boy. Another season of Overlord. I loved the first season, but, I just couldn't get into the second one.
But now, here I am. Once again to have fallen in love with the story of the overpowered undead Ainz Ooal Gown and the beautiful intro of the third season of
'Overlord'.
****There might be spoilers****
Story
...
As I said, this series is about that overpowered skeleton-like 'monster' called Lord Ainz. In this season, he is starting to take control over the world, which he surely can do with ease.
But another part of the story is taken by Enri, the leader of the small Carne Village, which is also under the control of the protagonist.
It is really amazing to see a story from the view of the 'evil' side of it.
I always thought Ainz wouldn't hurt the humans, but boy, I was so wrong.
Only one magical spell to whipe out an entire army - leaving almost no one surviving.
Art
Not much to say about it, it's a nicely animated anime with no flaws I can argue about.
Sound
Well, the music in this was - how should I say - absolutely amazing!
The intro "VORACITY" by MYTH&ROID was so good - it'd be a reason to keep watching even if the anime wasn't good at all.
I love it. That's all I can say about it.
Character
Well, it's the same as it has been before, really, really evil beings trying to rule the world against the humans, who begin to fall into despair when they see their powers. But the protagonist also leaves those, who accept him, in peace. So he's not just a monster killing everyone it sees because I think, with his powers, that'd be really boring as he'd whipe out humanity within a few days.
I loved this season and I am exited for the next one.
9/10

*This review is only about the first season of Higurashi no naku koro ni*
This, this is definetly my favourite anime when it comes to splatter and psychological anime.
What is first being embodied as a cute slice of life kind of anime turns into one of the most gruesome experiences out there. Without doubt, if you like splatter - a lot of blood and innards - while the lovliest characters turn into the biggest psychos, then watch this. Until this day, I haven't found any other anime I love as much as I love this one.
The best of it all is, that
...
this anime isn't jsut one single story. It's made with muliple 'arcs' which was kind of hard for me to understand at first, but, I really quickly started to love it as there's even more of all the horror stuff like that. And so, each arc contains one little story, which, in my opinion, improves through the anime. The scenario always turns from bright and cheerful to blood red and brutal.
As this anime is pretty old by now, so is the animation. But still, I find that Studio Deen did a great work on the crazy faces of the characters e.g. Renas eyes in the first arc.
One of the best things in this one is the music. There's NO other intro music that gets stuck in your head as the first opening of the Higurashi series. Eiko Shimamiya did a really good job there and I just can't stop listening to it. It is never getting boring for me and I always find something in there, that feels new to me.
I already said that the characters are all truly adorable and - when it comes to it - scary as hell. Each character comes with his or her own personalities and is letting them shine through that.
Keiichi, who just moved in the town, already found friends, as they are in a small class because the town is so small.
Rena, a quite shy and nice girl, who's in love with adorable things has a dark backstory.
Mion, a girl which acts kind of like a boy, a member of one of the three leading families in Hinamizawa, which apparently have their hands in a lot of dirty buisness
and
Satoko and Rika, who both suffered the same - the death of their parents through a unknown reason.
All the stories of every single character makes each very interesting to me.
And all of that leads to my rating of this anime - a 10/10.

*This review is about Steins;Gate 0, not about the original anime Steins;Gate*
Story
Rarely, I came across an anime like this. For me, it was the perfect anime.
Never have I gotten shivers so often like I did while watching this.
Even though it's just an adaptation of a game - thus this anime gives us one of the most beautiful and at the same time shocking stories I've ever seen in my life. It shows us, that time and space is a thing that no human should ever touch or change, because if done, it'll have horrific consequences.
It is also showing us the beautiful,
...
funny and amazing relationship between the protagonist and his friends and his suffering of his lost friend Makise Kurisu, who sacrificed herself for the sake of a 'perfect' world line.
But Okabe begins to notice, that there's much more wrong with this world line than promised.
So, he and also some of his friends begin to search for the Steins;Gate, the perfect world line.
The plot in this anime is amazingly picturfied and ist so intense, every single second until the end of the last episode.
Art & Character
It is without any doubt my favourite artstyle of all anime out there. You just have to fall in love with the characters, whether it's Mayuri's 'Tu-tu-ru' or the small legal loli Maho Hiyajou. Every character has a unique charm to him- or herself which makes everyone much more interesting.
The city and the rest of the background art look as amazing as ever, really sucking one in until the end and matching the dark theme of this series.
Sound
The music sounded - just like in the original Steins;Gate - different from any other anime music. That solely made the whole series, especially the Intro and outro, a whole lot more enjoyable than it even was before.
Well, that is all there really is for me to say right now.
This definetly derserves to be rated 10/10.

****Spoilers****
This is one of my first Mecha-Anime and personally, I really liked and enjoyed it a lot.
Story
The story was really interesting and really shocked me sometimes. But I think that they added to much information, which made it hard to follow it sometimes. About how children are born to fight and to die - while not getting teached anything but necessary things for using a FranXX.
Art
...
For me, the artstyle looked amazing. It always looked really smooth and I loved the Design of the Characters. There's nothing else to say about it.
Sound
I have some problems with the background music at some point. It feels like there's only one same song playing. I don't know if that's just me, but that's the way I feel. But other than that, I don't have any complaints.
In total, I really enjoyed this anime, that's why I rate it a 9/10.
I can only recommend anyone to try and watch this anime, I feel like it's a good start in the Mecha-Scenery of anime.
