Hi, I'm Shienky and welcome to my MAL profile
Shienky is my is my oldest and most recurring nickname and I usually use it to identify myself online. It derives from my personal abbreviation of the word "Shinkyaku", which is a move by the videogame character Fei Long, a spinning / flying kick of fire performed with a wild scream.
I don't have something in particular to say, I think I am a very selective observer of "anime" and tied to my tastes.
As you can see from my ratings ,I prefer to appreciate the messages that the author tries to convey through his work and I love to reach those places and the meanings that were previously confined to me, rather than praising the animations, the soundtrack or the graphic style.
Chika Gentou Gekiga: Shoujo Tsubaki (test)
I think he is one of the best, first of all because of the unfortunate story behind the anime, the courageous choices of Hiroshi Harada, his great bad luck with the sponsors, his censorship and even his arrest.
As an anime itself it would seem mediocre, but having the knowledge that it is for the most part a person's work completely changes his conception. The dark background setting, in which the plot takes place, even if it is a "ero guro horror" genre that I appreciate, did not strike me for its poverty, but it still managed to accompany the unfortunate story of Midori, (the camellia girl) through adversities of all kinds that could happen to her in Japan in 1920.
From all these misadventures are also born pity and affection that accompany Midori's life in taratti making the work bittersweet between cruelty and compassion.
The ending that I do not spoil is the reason why I temporarily put Midori in this position and I'm sure it is also the reason that pushed Hiroshi to risk so much.

By the way you might enjoy https://myanimelist.net/anime/601/Nekojiru-sou for same reasons you wrote about Shoujo Tsubaki, story behind the work and the mangaka is interesting.
yeah it's always good to see peoples favourite OPs/EDs.
thank you and likewise ^^
Honestly I haven't found a decent Steam sale apart from a couple Chinese New Year ones, since they removed the flash sales. You used to get really good deals for AAA titles at 80% off and what not. I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer with the Amplified DLC. I've played it before but I didn't own it in my own account nor have I tried the Amplified content. Looking forward to get some time to enjoy it lol
But yeah, thanks. I know the pandemic hit you guys really badly there and I hope you guys get a bit of peace soon.
I personally use paint.net to do my graphics stuff but whenever I use gifs I use certain websites to either edit them on the spot or to split the gif into several images where I can edit in the border.
All in all doing forum aesthetics is fairly simple to do to make your stuff cool looking. Then we have god-tier people that their about me sections are works of art.
I used to watch a couple episodes of Mushishi every night before I went to sleep. It's one of those shows that feel really therapeutic to watch tbh
Cowboy Bebop is my absolute favorite of all though, and it a show that means a lot to me on an emotional level.
How have you been holding up?
Great minds think alike ^^ which one of our common faves is the one you like the most?
