Both "Alderamin on the Sky" and "Lord Marksman and Vanadis" pack too much story in too little. Both are echhi-battle themed anime. We've a talented, powerful hero protagonist being aided by an equally powerful female protagonist. In both anime there's the task of protecting Princess too and the protagonist's kingdom is full of vices, corrupt nobles, useless king and scheming elites. However "Alderamin on the Sky" is too hard-core whereas "Lord Marksman and Vanadis" is faithful to its genre theme and somewhat easy on the eyes and mind.👍🏻

Both have overpowered main characters who are sort of anti-heroes Both are Isekai where game expert is transferred to game world. Both have sadistic women side-kick No.2 female heroes who swoon over their Chief.😅 But Maou-sama is a milder and merrier version of Overlord with some good story.

Both anime have Post-apocalyptic environment setting. In both heroes are smart, over-powered and fight their all to protect their friends. Female main characters too are strong in both anime. Also, in both anime there are many cliffhangers and gore, violent scenes.
