Despite the high overall rating I gave to Baka and Test, surprisingly enough it was very difficult to rate it accordingly. I will thoroughly explain what my thoughts were on each category:
Story-9
Baka and Test's main focus is romantic/comedy (high emphasis on the comedy). The main protagonist Akihisa Yoshii, is a boy who's main focus in this anime is to do justice for the big busted and innocent Himeji, Mizuki who through unfortunate circumstances was forced into his class F despite her flawless academic record which under normal circumstances would put her easily into class A.
The side, but just as important, plot is what really makes
...
this anime stand out i guess you could say. Each student had an avatar which they can do battle with. The attack and defense of the individual avatars are unique to each student's strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the subject they are battling in (Math, PE, History, English, etc.). It is the goal of class F to battle the higher rank classes in order to rise up from their oppression and make people realize that the rank that you're in as a class says nothing about who you are as a person (also, if they win a battle against a high class then they can trade school equipment which as you get higher, gets more and more flashy).
Art-8
The art was a mix between impressive, yet at the same time typical. I couldn't help but appreciate it due to the fact that they incorporate different elements of art when in different situations. (This is just my opinion.)
Sound-10
The opening and ending songs are still stuck in my head and I find myself humming and even busting out into song when I'm alone, don't judge me...
Character-7
As per the usual, each character had an inner and occasionally opposing motive when it came to their overall goals. The overly busty sweet girl has a tendency to be quite frightening, the overly tough woman is actually very sweet, and the crazy psychotic, obsessive, representative of class A is actually a sensitive and well thought character who has potential for future development. What's weird is that despite some of these characters appearing to have more than one agenda, I couldn't help but find them extremely predictable, but hey, what isn't nowadays right? I have to say not one of the characters really jumped out at me as unique or memorable.
Enjoyment-7
I'm actually surprised I went through this anime as quickly as I did given that I had other options to watch and for whatever reason chose to watch this. What lowered the enjoyment rating for me was the constant fan service and I know I've said it in other reviews but please bare with me this time. What does an episode solely existing to see the big busted heroin in a too tight for comfort swimsuit have to do with them completing with other classes for rank? I just found it inconsistent. Many of the episodes were just fillers with the only point to force minimal character development while exciting boys with fan service. Just not my thing.
Overall-7
This anime had the potential in my mind to be great and for whatever reason I finished quickly and could not stop watching despite the contrary writings above. Perhaps I just had too high of expectations, because I was hoping for another anime for my Top 10.
This anime did not make my Top 10, but I can see the appeal and why people enjoyed it. I hope that my review was helpful and I hope you decide that based on the information I expressed. Thank you and enjoy!

HOTD had the potential to make my top ten of anime with plot alone, but several characteristics of this particular anime caused it to fall down on the ratings for me.
Story: (10)
A zombie apocalypse occurs and several high school students and their school nurse are doing their best to survive the global pandemic. THIS IS AN AWESOME PLOT! My goodness I've been waiting for them to do a zombie apocalypse anime forever! On the other hand, this is a harem anime so there are of course multiple girls fighting over the same heroic guy who is just trying to keep everyone alive. I'm not much
...
for harems myself, but you know what? There are freaking zombies so I watched it all the way through!
Music: (8)
The opening and closing songs were catchy and addicting, so I didn't feel the need to fast forward through the opening.
Art: (6.5)
Granted some of you who have watched this may be going "WHAT! The art was amazing!" Yes, I do not doubt this for a second. The zombies were kick-ass! As were the guns, scenery, blood, guts, character expressions, etc. Only one thing got me off of the fan bus for the art and that was: the ever present, impossibly huge, exaggerated movements of the breasts! My goodness people I mean these things were... I rest my case. If you've seen HOTD you know what I'm talking about. Then again, maybe it's because I'm a girl and actually have a pair that I can be irritated by them. At ease men! Enjoy the exaggerations as I continue my review.
Character: (9)
The individual character development was decent. The connection between the main character and his complicated relationship with one of the females is explained, and they continue on blah blah blah. What I really liked was that each character really was different in personality. Sure it's a harem so the girls all like the same guy, but what's great is that: that is the only thing they have in common! One of the best characters is a total nerd that turns bad ass once the apocalypse starts and isn't the least bit hesitant on doing what needs to be done. Some might say that makes him kind of psycho, but he still gets along well with others and the group and is out for the protection of the people he is with.
Enjoyment/ Overall: (7)
Seriously if it weren't for the constant need for nudity and giant breasts then this would've made my top then. Other than that, this anime was pretty good and i do suggest it to my guy friends.
Hope you found my review helpful!

Alright, I'm going to try to hit all of the bases with this review because Shuffle! has a wide range of mixed views and I can see everyone's point on why they did or didn't like it.
Plot: Me being a Fantasy lover, I did enjoy the plot. In Shuffle!, there are two worlds that parallel the human world, the world of the Gods and the world of the Demons. Each ruled by a king, who are actually best friends and each one has a daughter that at one point in their lives, comes to the human word and falls for a guy named Rin (pronounced
...
R-EE-N). Both of these girls wish to marry him. With this being a harem anime, there are also many other love interests involved such as the girl Rin lives with and one of his best friends he's known for a long time. They all go to the same high school and they are friends, but each one has individual secrets that are revealed throughout the series.
Since I am not a fan of girls throwing themselves at a guy, but I love the idea of the different worlds, so I gave the plot an 8.
Art: I rated the artwork a 10, because it was original and the characters didn't look anything alike so unlike other anime, it was difficult to get them confused. The art was a ten for me, but the high amounts of fan service was ridiculous and ruined some of the anime for me, but not enough to stop watching it, because the anime itself was original and I wanted to finish it without regrets.
Sound: I have to admit that the opening and ending songs got stuck in my head, so I gave the sound a 10.
Character: This is where many people found that Shuffle! failed many viewers. (I'm trying my best not to include spoilers) Rin himself is surrounded by beautiful girls and each one goes on individual dates with him at one point or another, and yet he never tells any of the girls his feelings. It frustrates many that he is willing to lead girls on with no emotion whatsoever. I myself found it frustrating.
Some of the characters later in the show develop glitches in their personalities that ruins the individuality that I can to love at the beginning of the show. The sweet character turns a complete 180 and turns into an aggressive crazy chick, which I can only compare to School Days (I really didn't like that anime btw). One of the characters that I enjoyed because of her independence turns not only clingy, but slutty as well.
The other characters kept to the personalities that they originally started with. Because of my love for the characters toward the beginning of the show, but the unfortunate let down towards the end, I'd have to give the characters a 6.
Enjoyment and Overall: My love for certain characters throughout the entire series is what kept me going, and I still have to say that it wasn't TERRIBLE, but it doesn't make my top 10 when it comes to characters and outcome. Certain aspects of this show will stay with me and I might even watch the first episode every once in a while or listen to one of the songs now and again.
To summarize it to just a number: 6.5 (rounded up to seven)
I hope you enjoyed my review, thanks for reading!

True Tears surprised me in more ways than one. At first I was simply impressed by the fascinating artwork that was done for not only the characters, but the scenery as well.
Plot:
The protagonist of the story, Shinichiro is a young man living with his mother, father, and the newest addition, one of his classmates from school.
This classmate is Hiromi. Her father was a good friend of Shinichiro's father. When Hiromi's parents passed away, she was sent to live in Shinichiro's home. From the beginning, their is a strong atmosphere between the mother of the protagonist and Hiromi. Although Hiromi is as polite
...
as possible, judging by the hostility Shinichiro's mother has shown her, it gives a suspicion as to where the hostility is coming from.
Shinichiro does his best to defend Hiromi, not only because he doesn't understand the situation, but also because it appears that he likes Hiromi.
At school, things begin much less dramatic. Hiromi is a valued member of the school's girl basketball team, along with her best friend, Tomoyo.
Shinichiro is uninvolved with school activities, and spends most of his time with his perverted friend, Nobuse. After school, the two of them go and see their friend Aiko, who works at her family's shop after school.
Aiko is one year older that Shinichiro and they attend different schools. They are childhood friends and very close. Aiko is going out with Nobuse, because Shinichiro introduced them and told her that he was a good person. Whether Aiko's feelings for Nobuse are true is later revealed in the series.
Another main character from Shinichiro's school is Noe. She is considered very strange and ridiculous rumors about her are flying around school. In reality, she is kindhearted, but very blunt. In the beginning, she compares Shinichiro to one of the chickens on campus that she takes care of, saying that Shinichiro cannot fly.
This colorful collection of characters are thrown together through the difficulties, such as life after high school, crushes, and overall, things all of us ave to deal with in life.
I would suggest this to anyone, so please enjoy :)
