Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji

Koukou Debut is one of my favorite shoujos--I'm biased and I have a soft spot in my heart for it even though I read it many years ago (and reread it often). I remember after finishing it for the first time, I craved something similar and Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji filled that void for me. -In both mangas there is a seemingly cold yet loving male lead and an enthusiastic, bubbly, blunt, crybaby (but very lovable) female lead -Plot focuses more on their actual bf/gf relationship then draggy "does he like me/does she like me" plot -Male leads don't express emotions easily but you can tell they are head over heels in love with female lead; female leads are openly VERY expressive of their emotions -Male leads both appear cold (although in Koukou Debut, Yoh is more cool/stoic/lovable and in OStKO, Kyouya is mean/rude type in general) -Just enough drama/conflict where leads are able to overcome without making the relationship on and off -Cute, interesting supportive leads, best friends, side characters While Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji gives me more of a typical, shoujo vibe, if you enjoy one manga (or especially adore the characters) you will most definitely enjoy the other!

Hana-kun to Koisuru Watashi

-Role model student female leads whom both excel in academics, but somehow end up taking interest in the school "delinquent" male leads whom often skip class. -Male leads are outcasts, misunderstood, a bit violent, and have a soft spot for female lead. -Female leads are firm and not pushovers. -Unrequited love does not drag on throughout the entire series and there is focus on the relationship's development. -Character development for friends outside of the main leads as well. -Tonari No Kaibutsu-Kun's leads are a little more unconventional while Hana-Kun to Koisuru Watashi's leads are a little more typical but both are very enjoyable shoujos nonetheless.

Happy Life Hajimaru

-The heroines are both class presidents and role model student types who somehow take an interest in the male lead who is an outcast/delinquent/misunderstood type. -Both heroines have the interest to help/take care of others and are kind but still firm. -Both have nice art and cute scenes; are typical shoujo but still have sweet, slice of life vibes. -Happy Life Hajimaru is more cliche but still cute I was reading Happy Life Hajimaru and was sad to see there were only two chapters out so I was glad to have found Hana-kun to Koisuru Watashi because it filled the void that I was craving after reading Happy Life Hajimaru and was actually better (unfair comparison since it has more chapters ^^)
