I've heard Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran described as "fluff", and I'd say that's accurate. It's a very light-hearted, relaxing anime, despite being about martial arts and action. Kazemakase is the kind of thing I'd put on while I fold some laundry or something. That being said, Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran has no illusions about what it is and it does it very well. It doesn't try to be anything more and doesn't need to be.

One thing that stood out for me was Ran's character. If you watch a lot of anime, you might have noticed that a lot of series really seem to struggle with realistic ... female characters. Ran, I felt, is believable. She's got more than one side to her personality, but isn't so convoluted or simple that she's unbelievable as a character. She's probably my favorite female character in any anime, which is saying a lot, because while Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran is good, it's not even in my top 10 anime.

This show is the best show I have ever seen. The sound, the characters, the story... It's all amazing. At first it appears to be an episodic sort of show (which it is, kind of) but the characters develop and grow throughout the series.
My absolute favorite thing about Gintama is the fact that it has some more serious arcs. It's mostly a comedy, but every so often a dead serious arc will pop up and it is amazing. I love comedy and I love action-y shows, it's so rare to find them together. Gintama does it well. The jokes are hilarious and the serious ... arcs make you want to cry. But in the end you'll be laughing.
One last thing: you have to watch it in order!! Skip forward and you'll miss not only great comedy, but important plot points.

Now stop reading this review and go watch Gintama. Seriously. Just go.

Fullmetal Alchemist is unlike any other anime that I have ever seen. If I could have, I would've rated it a 20 instead of a 10. It was incredible. The story line was great. The idea of alchemy makes me wish that I could leave my world and jump into their's.
Although, as an anime for beginners I would recommend watching something else first. Parts of it can be creepy for people who are easily scared (not that that is a bad thing). For instance, the homunculus Gluttony. My (older) sister found him scary, while I did not. Also, parts of it are sad.
Ed, Al, ... and all the other characters were fabulous. I liked how much the brothers cared for each other. Other than that, it's hard to say exactly why I felt the need to re-watch it over 3 times or why I get nostalgic at the slightest mention of this amazing series.
One thing I do know is that I absolutely hated the ending. It was a total cliffhanger, not to mention sad. It wasn't sad in a way, "Oh no, my favorite character died," No. My thoughts were, "Why did that have to happen?" *frown*. There is a sequel to the series, Fullmetal Alchemist: Conquer of Shambala, but the ending to that was as, if not more, depressing as the series. But it's equivalent exchange, I guess.

Even though I didn't like the ending, Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood were (and still are) two of the best anime series that I have ever seen. I highly recommend giving my favorite anime a chance.
