In these manga, both of the leading ladies are seen as tough and scary delinquents by everyone at school, but actually are kind and shy girls. Failure to express themselves correctly causes misunderstandings which keep the general public from changing their opinion. (and scare someone in agreeing to date them, in Koisuru Yankee Girl's case) Oh, and both are 4koma manga.

I'm not very good at detailing these, but Working!! and GSNK are anime mostly focused on comedy (and their manga are 4koma, one of my favorite types) with hints of romance and pairings. (in the later seasons of Working!!, it's more obvious) I really love this type of anime, where multiple couples are given attention instead of the main pair only, like most side characters getting together or finding someone, and it's that way for both anime. Plus, both are ridiculously hilarious, and if you're like me, you'll probably be going "One more episode can't hurt-!" five times in a row. XD

Being by the same mangaka, they have a similar art style and humor. The main character in both series suddenly finds themselves being pulled into a club full of eccentric people, and have to adjust to their new surroundings. They mostly are humor, with gradual romance. Moments can turn from heartwarming to silly in only a few panels, and then back again. Neither is just about the main couple(s), focus is put on each important character and their stories as well. I fully enjoy reading both of these, with their funny moments, hints at romance, and a unique art style I've come to love.

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

Working!! and Tanaka-kun are easy-to-watch and funny anime centered on the characters and their interactions. Both are slice-of-life, so naturally don't expect to see some overarching plots or action, but instead the cast's lives and all the ridiculous things they do. If you like Working!!'s characters, you'll probably like Tanaka-kun's too. Miyano is similar to Popura, and Shiraishi's shy girlyness might remind you of Inami. (no punching from Shiraishi though, sorry.) Every episode of both anime is enjoyable, even if there's something you don't find funny, it's quickly over and on to something else funny. The jokes in both are brilliant, in my opinion. Tanaka-kun has less romance than Working!!, but it's hinted, so if you're looking for something to ship you might find it. (and Working!!'s doesn't come until much later) Either one is a great anime to watch, especially when just relaxing or looking for laughs.

In both of these series, the main character is a brown-haired guy who's a bit of a loser in some way at first. But then through different means, each gets a digital companion (who they both thought were weak at first) and do battles with others in a game-like setting. The main characters are very similar, they even have the same voice actor, and there are several other characters who share voices between the two shows. Both shows feature a digital world where people battle. Both are shounen.
