To start it off, I just quickly want to state that I myself enjoyed the anime so much to the point I got sad not because of the ending, but because the characters and world I got sucked in and cared for is pretty much over, since there is no season 2 in sight.
As a whole, this series was a roller coaster of emotions where you just rather end up wishing the characters to step away from that live to fight concept, and wish to just see them live their life together, developing bonds and living happily ever after. That alone shows that the show

made you care for every character in their unique way and wouldn't want anyone gone. That's why it deserves a 9 in that section. The soundtrack and openings are genuinely beautiful and the art never lets u down either. The only complaint I could find is seeing that the story got rushed towards the end, (especially the last episodes) and they for some reason ended it in a hurry, which is a bit saddening since if they followed the path they had the first 15 episodes, I could see myself giving this a 10/10 overall almost with no hesitation.
I loved Darling in the Franxx and recommend it to absolutely anyone even as a first anime to start up with. It tells a beautiful romance story and comes along with a lot of cry and laughter. It's making you question your path in life and love in a good way and makes you want to become a better you overall. It like opens your eyes in a lot of ways. Beautiful Anime, completely sad it's over but all good and bad things come to an end. That's how life goes, and we just got to make the moments worth worthwhile.
