I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I started this series. All I knew was that Miyano Mamoru was a main character and I'm a sheep when it comes to him and I fell in love with the opening. The more I watched, the more I was engrossed in the world of Durarara.

It starts out slow paced with introducing the setting and main playing characters. With each episode it got more and more interesting, even though the plot wasn't very strong, at least not to the First Viewing eye. In that way it reminds me of Baccano with how its storylines meet ...

Mixed Feelings
While Aria is not of my typical genre of manga, I managed to find enjoyment in it.

I picked up a few volumes from a friend, then moved away and hadn't finished it. I cosplayed one of the characters and figured I should at least finish the series. 12 Volumes isn't a bad number at all. Found it online and completed it.

I kept reading thinking something interesting would happen. But wait, this is a Slice of Life series; Nothing dramatic or terribly interesting happens! Yet, I still found myself reading it. The art is definitely engaging and charming. The characters are sweet and silly. Slice ...

In the huge bountiful production of Shonen series out there many continue to go on forever and are filled with cliche's and troupes galore. Fullmetal Alchemist is a series that shines above the rest. There is no pointless power-up, fight the bad guy and continually lose and come back only to repeat the cycle over and over again.

It is very story driven. And character driven. Every character takes a part in the grand scheme of things. Every conversation has value and shows importance to the advancement of plot and development. It is a powerful tale of sacrifice, love, friendship, family, and reaching your potential.
