This is my first actual review here on MAL and having watched tons of anime, this movie has something that made me want to share my opinion.
First of, I would like to start on how the previous two prequels' of this movie. The previous two prequels gives an introduction on all the characters on this series and all heroines pretty much had their screen time and story which are really good in my opinion but it still had that harem anime type of plot. As a fellow degenerate otaku with the MC, I too had my own preferred heroine which was Kasumigaoka Utaha.
I first heard
...
who Tomoya would end up with be in this movie before I was able to watch it and I was quiet disappointed since my heroine lost the heroine war and I thought that Utaha had more personality which was undoubtful since Megumi's character was designed to be boring. Having only watched the first season and leaving the second season on hold, I have recently just rewatched the whole series and this movie did pull my heartstrings.
The character development of Megumi in this movie was definitely the icing on the cake on the movie, having only subtle developments throughout the two seasons and having more focus on the other two heroines (Utaha and Eriri). On par with Tomoya's goal in his game to make Megumi the best heroine, this movie showed the best parts of Megumi. As the story progresses, you will witness a slow yet satisfying development in their relationship which makes it so fulfilling to watch.
As a fellow degenerate otaku who found love in a similar manner, this makes it thrice as more satisfying knowing that nothing feels you more happiness than being with the person who you feel more comfortable and who you can be yourself.
"You're the main heroine anyone would envy, but you weren't really that far out my league"
