If you fancy a Romantic Comedy, chuck full of slap stick and "chibi" humor, this is a good anime for you.
Story - The story line was good, not great but good. This is not the first time we have seen a plot of this nature of course, two youngins forced to marry each other due to unforeseen circumstances, however Seto no Hanayome takes a nice approach giving the story line a certain freshness. I did find the storyline to be a bit erratic at some points, but it always seems to come back around to a central point.
Art - I thoroughly enjoyed the art
...
in this anime. It bounces around quite frequently between a standard cartoon anime style, chibi, and even some dashes of a more realistic style without losing the viewers focus. Scenery is basic, but the artist's achieve some pretty good stills throughout the show.
Sound - All i can really say is perfectly suited for this anime.
Character - A constant barrage of new characters continuously throughout the anime leaves you feeling a bit detached from many of the characters, however there is enough focus and development of the main two characters, Seto San and Nagasumi, to give you a main focal point to ground yourself on throughout the series. There isn't really a point in the show where i didn't have a vested interest in what was going to happen to the characters in the show.
Overall - While at the beginning i almost felt like the slap stick nature of the anime was being quite overtly shoved down my throat, after the series progressed passed the first few episodes i found myself being unable to tear myself away from watching. It is heart felt, the emotions are believable, and i definitely found myself laughing quite vocally often throughout the series. Overall this anime deserves a soft 8/10.
