So when I first saw the ending I was a little overwhelmed & emotional & I kinda hated it for what happened to Eren's character at the end & just depressed that he died & stuff.
But then I started thinking about it & actually kinda started liking the ending more & more, I realised that maybe I as a person had become too attached or used to that cold emotionless person & thought Eren had matured but he was the same whiny little brat he was at the start of the story. The thing I realised was that Eren really never changed.

his character even more than I loved before. He was always a dumbass who was handed too much power. A person who wanted to commit genocide coz of a dream he envisioned as a child while looking at Armin's book. He had always been childish & idiotic. So to sum it up he was literally a genocidal maniac. I mean it is quite evident by the fact that he killed 2 men at the age of 9 lol.
Ofc we can't overlook his other motivations like saving his friends etc. Eren is a brilliantly written character by Isayama who has so many layers to him & I love how contradictory & complex he is (atleast that's what I think about him).
Ofc the ending had many other scenes that made me emotional like levi seeing the scouts, Mikasa's ittarasahi etc. People were complaining about the Eren breakdown scene but I actually found that pretty cute & funny lol. I also love how Mikasa's character arc ended with her finally moving on from Eren while still loving him & ofc the character conclusion for so many characters was brilliantly done.
Overall I love the ending & as much as I loved the series before, I think now it has become my favourite anime of all time. Man it makes me depressed my 6 year long journey with this anime has finally come to an end.
At last thanks to Isayama, wit & mappa for bringing this beautiful story to us.
