The series takes a surprisingly nuanced and organic approach to Hikky's growth as a person. Rather than manic bursts of change, which is a rather contrived and tired device used by many series, Hikky slowly claws himself through the mud to find the answers within himself and in the people around him that he grows to love and care for. This pace mirrors real growth and is more applicable and topical.

Wine. If one considers the average rom com in this context, you'd be talking about a syrah or malbec. Golden Time, by contrast, is a Brunello di Montalcino. Mature.
