You most likely won't enjoy it unless you've watched some of the other Tenchi stuff (GXP, War on Geminar, Dual Parallel, but not Tokyo/In Love).
Also if you read the novels (I haven't) you'll definitely appreciate some of those characters being animated here.
I enjoyed the new season A LOT. I always wanted a new Geminar season so this was nice to get. I'm still hoping though.
All of the favorites are here, plus more. It was nice to see all the oldies again and especially the spinoff characters here.
Why is MAL causing me to write such a long review? Other people didn't write nearly as much as

When I first watched the First Season, I honestly thought I was getting a "Shuffle" kind of thing.
Numerous girls with different routes, different stories and different outcomes.
Boy was I wrong. This series is honestly amazing. It follows the life of a man looking to escape his past. A man looking for redemption. A man looking for peace.
Each of the girls have their own story, their own past and their own will to survive.
I think those elements are great. The background of Yuuji, JB and Asako is so powerful. These 3 had such a powerful history that one without the other leaves a huge hole in
...
your heart.
If you enjoyed Season 1 and the OVA, definitely continue watching for the full story.
I'm saddened that this season is only 10 episodes...

Best anime of Spring 2015. Honestly, this is how you do drama/romance. The closure, the feels, the suspense, the leveling with MC and his harem.
Beautiful.

Shinoa is probably the only reason I watch this every week.
That and the Opening song.
When I first started watching this I thought I was going to get a Attack on Titan type Revenge story with Vampires instead of Titans.
I was wrong. It quickly becomes a School based setting with Main Girl obviously crushing on Main guy.
They battle with inner demons, their past and obtain power to combat the vampires.
...
Good thing there's a second season.
Definitely an enjoyable series. just don't expect AoT type stuff.

Story - The life and times of Takamiya Nasuno and her quest to be the craziest ojou alongside her self-proclaimed Butler. Same shenanigans as Teekyu except it focuses more on Nasuno and her home life with appearances by the other characters.
Art - There is no Art. Art means nothing to these girls.
Sound - There is no Sound in this bottomless pit known as Teekyu. I miss Season 2's OP. That was some good stuff.
MANI MANI doo doo doo
Character - Best Teekyu girl doing best girl things. Best character in the series.
...
Honestly I thought Nasuno would be more of an overbearing, money obsessed rich girl. While she does flaunt money occasionally, she's not very snobbish at all.
If you enjoy Teekyu, crazy shenanigans at hyper speed, you'll enjoy this mini series.
However I would recommend watching Seasons 1-4 + Specials before watching this, just so you can appreciate it more.

**CAUTION SPOILER ALERT**
I haven't written a review in years and for good reason. I didn't have to review them. The shows I watched I enjoyed. No need to tell others the ups and downs because I believed everything was an Up.
Now this show... It started off good. Likable characters (*cough*Yanagi*cough*), interesting scenario of a girl who sees "fragments of the future and a drifter who can also take part in this phenomenon with her)
As the story progressed it went from "This is cool" to "What in god's name is going on?".
The story doesn't take a sudden turn and became some Drama filled mess, it literally
...
spirals out of control. Nothing happens later on in the story. NOTHING. They literally wind up brushing off the entire phenomenon and the kid leaves.
Only good thing about watching this show is that it's now completed. Now you can marathon the show in a few hours and then say you wasted a few hours of your time. I spent weeks wasting my time watching this show.
If only Yanagi was the main heroine...

Before watching Dog Days you have to drop the notion of battles/wars being about bloodshed and violence. You must also be willing to drop any harem related tendencies that you have accumulated throughout your past anime experiences.
All emptied out? good.
Dog Days is a lot different then your typical action/warring nation based animes. Wars are waged for pure entertainment and fun for both commoners and royalty. Wars are not meant to steal or harm each other, it is for pure bliss and thrill.
Story: 9/10
Personally I want to give it a 10 but seeing how I only write reviews for the animes I truly enjoy
...
I can't just give every category a 10/10 so I'll cut back here and art.
The story revolves around our MC being summoned from earth to a foreign land where a desperate princess needs help to save her kingdom from losing any more wars.
Through various trials (not many seeing how he ends up being there for 16 days and yet masters advanced seal techniques that knights/soldiers have been practicing for years) he winds up assisting the princess in various wars and helping her reclaim lost ties between her and another ruler.
If you liked Isekai No Seikishi Monogatari (which of course I did since I tell everyone to watch that since it's my fav anime :3) then you will like this anime. Strong human gets summoned to a faraway land and winds up becoming a powerful cause for whichever side they are fighting for.
Art: 9/10. Can't give it a 10 since it's a bit dated (or at least I think so) but it is not crazy old so the cute anime factor is still there. Vibrant colors and what have you.
Sound: 10/10.
Ahh the sound. The princess's concerts have really good music. Really good. Didn't care much for the OP ED (never really watched the ED since I just wanted to watch the next EP) but do yourself a favor and enjoy the Concerts.
Character: 10/10
Characters were great. Tsundere Knight captain, cutesy princess, kind/gentle/caring ruler who doesn't care that she will be the bad guy to save her friend, and the usual other characters (crazy strong samuari along with ninja companion, etc).
Honestly there is NO BAD GUYS in this anime. None. Even the war hungry general for Gallat (I think that's how you spell it) is a really kind guy.
No one wants to break the century long "peaceful" truce war pact where wars are meant for fun and not hurting each other so everyone gets along.
Enjoyment: Great anime. I dropped it in the past because at the time I was more into the harem aspect of animes and upon seeing practically 0 harem aspect I dropped it. That and the fact that I wasn't really digging the whole "peaceful war" aspect.
Honestly if you drop this because of those reasons I highly recommend you pick it up. The last 2-3 episodes are really touching (especially poor Rico :[ ) but I can't wait to watch season 2 tonight.
Hope this review shed some insight for anyone reading. Enjoy

Let me start by saying that I only watched this season because I was interested after getting caught up with EVOL (Aquarion season 2). I thoroughly enjoyed this season for the most part. The music was great, scenes were touching, the whole shabang. But like every show, it had it's cons.
In this case I couldn't stand the fact that it took 24 episodes for Apollo + Silvia to embrace each other and show any sort of outward feelings for each other. We are talking 7/8 of the series deep into the story and now they start saying how much the other means to them
...
(and not even deep stuff either, this is like a 10 sec thing). The fact that they were forbidden lovers in the past and the fact that they both acknowledged the fact that they were lovers in their former lives AND they both have the memories of their former lives really irked me. They are destined to fall in love over and over again yet nothing of the sort actually transpired throughout the series.
Not only did the lack of "romance" when everything has been laid out on the table for them BUT this chick has the nerve to reject her brothers invite to join him in his quest for a better world saying how she wants to protect those dearest to her... don't get me wrong, I thought this moment was the moment when the panties were coming off and apollo + silvia were gonna get all lovey dovey... no... of course things dont work out that way for me... ever... literally 3 min later this chick is depressed in a corner smelling her brothers picture frame saying oniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... do you know how annoying that was? for 26 episodes 90% of what came out of her mouth was "onisamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" over and over... and over again...
oh well enough ranting.
Story: I felt like it was a great story. Forbidden lovers in the past reunited 12000 years later destined to love each other again. A gay dude that wants his gay partner back... mechas... good shit right? well no... please if you didnt read the rant above go read it. Pretty much sums up why story isn't a 10/10.
Art: This was like 2004-2005 when this show was out so it's not as good as EVOL (it's successor) but I still enjoyed the artwork. It was nice. Kinda reminded me of Macross Frontier. Also the episode where they get trapped in some fantasy world or whatever scared me shitless. Since that episode had a new OP I thought the artwork had changed and I was like "fuck this show... this artwork blows", but I was wrong thank goodness.
Sound: Pretty good.Dunno bout the OP ED but the melodies they play for the "important" important scenes were powerful. Really brought out the flavor of the moment.
Characters: I liked Apollo. He had a good personality. Strong Brave Doesn't give a fuck... etc etc. I couldn't stand Tsugumi (especially during her 20 min cry session... yes she literally spends 20 of the 23 min of the episode crying like a bitch when everyone is going to perish because she feels like a little bitch) and uhhh the brother. Clearly he is no Taiyou No Tsubasa, not even a hint of it but he has to be big shot sexy rich boy and pretend like hes hot shit.
Enjoyment: good show. I personally prefer the sequel since Zessica Wong is da shiet but they're bother strong pieces.
Hope you enjoyed my review. It's a bit late so my review is a little juvenile if you couldn't tell but it's all my personal beliefs. I just hope my colorful language doesn't offend any 10 year old readers who have journeyed onto MAL looking for hentai reviews.
:3 good day

I haven't watched the first season (don't really need to imho since they basically bring up the past a lot of times and you really only need a few tidbits to get whats going on). However, I will be watching the first season after this season is over to get a better feel of the story.
Story: The story is really good imo. You have 2 guys who clash together in order to win over the girl they love. The season isn't over yet but in my opinion it feels like 1 side represents "old love/destined love" and the other represents "new love/breaking chains of fate".
...
It's a typical space/sci-fi/school life anime where a boy gets involved in a cross-planetary war and his whole life is changed. He gets introduced to various "special" people who possess unique powers that are used to protect the planet.
Art: The artwork is beautiful. It's basically a 2012 looking anime so of course the colors are vibrant and very nice.
Sound: This show reminds me a lot of Macross Frontier for some reason. Music plays big rolls in major events that happen throughout the show. New powers = music, dramatic events = music, etc , etc.
Character: The characters are really good. You have the perverted male friend who clashes with the tsundere boy hating goodygoody girl and the typical bishounen guys that the girls are head over heels for. Then you have the various girls that are in love with the MC (One is more open, the other is the typical conservative shy soft spoken girl).
Enjoyment: This show is really really good. I honestly only watched this for Zessica Wong (she's cute :3) but I wound up enjoying the show a lot. It reminds me a lot of Macross Frontier + Isekai No Seikishi Monogatari which happens to be my favorite anime :3
ENJOY IT and don't forget! ZESSICA IS #1 F*CK MIKONO
EDIT: I finished watching the first season. I recommend it to those of you that want to a get a better feeling of the whole Aquarion history. However, it is not necessary to watch S1. All you basically need to know is that 12000 years ago 2 lovers fought to save the world from destruction and through self sacrifice they were separated from each other, destined to fall in love again when they were "reincarnated". It's basically a recurring 12k year cycle of lovers. All of this information is shown in EVOL (episode 1 for that matter).
If you would like to get to know more about the past lives of some of the characters you should watch S1. You can see how Kagura and Apollo share MANY traits which leads viewers to believe he is the true reincarnation of Apollo, yet Amata has the Sun Wings.
Even if you watch S1 you still won't understand why Mykage does what he does or why he looks like the dude from S1 (forgot his name... wait it's Toma, now I'm too lazy to change what I just wrote -____-)
Basically the reincarnations as I see it are:
Amata/Kagura = Apollo
Silvia = who cares, she's a betch :3
Toma = Zessica (can't say why because that's a spoiler, message me if you want to discuss)
Silvia's Brother = who cares, he's a loser. Seriously, he really is. Go watch season 1.

I was deeply saddened that I had literally nothing to watch. All the good series that people recommend or consider amazing have been seen by me over these past 2-3 years. There's a bunch of good anime this season but that's once a week so when I saw this series I decided to give it a shot.
Story: The story revolves around a young boy who is being targeted by monsters in order to become a slave to be traded by an intergalaxy agency of criminals. Special "enforcers" are sent out to Earth in order to prevent the criminals from having their way. Other main heroine
...
is the Cthulhu(spelling?) deity who has taken the form of a young girl and is assigned to our male protagonist. This show is HILARIOUS, and the fact that there's some love-crushing introduced in the first episode really bumped this show up a lot for me. I didn't see a "romance" tag on it so at first I was a bit iffy.
Art: The artwork is really nice. It's similar to Sora No Otoshimono which the style of artwork I like.
Sound: Hmm I only watched the OP for maybe 10 sec. It seemed upbeat and spunky which is nice. Didn't really pull me in like certain other OP (Angel beats for instance)
Characters: The characters are nice. Our male protagonist doesn't act like the typical male that doesn't show any romantic emotions towards the females who are attracted to him (he at least thought she was cute and blushed, etc).
All in all it seems like this is a cute like comedy show with a hint of romance here and there. I hope the romance becomes a little bit more heavy. But as of now this show is GREAT.
I highly recommend it.

Does a very good job on sticking with the manga. Luckily the manga is ahead so for those like me who have read the manga way before the anime was released you know how things turn out and you can focus on the artwork and seeing your favorite characters in motion :3
Story: There really isn't a "story" per se. The manga is slowly picking up but as you can see from the first 11(?) episodes released currently it's mostly the main (what? 6-7 characters?) conversing with each other and little things between Ririchyo and Soushi. 7/10
Art: Very Nice. Nice style to it. 10/10
Sound: The OP
...
is beast. It just goes so well with the animation. If you don't understand then read/watch the show/manga and then re-watch the OP and tell me if you understand how it flows so well with the animation. 10/10
Character: The characters are nice. Loyal bodyguard who has a past with the protagonist, tsundere protagonist, friends, etc etc. Everyone is suprisingly nice. There are times when certain people seem like "antagonists" but there really is no "bad guy". 10/10
Enjoyment: It's a light refreshing series to watch. I high ly recommend reading the manga thought since it has the anime + more. 10/10
Enjoy :) see you in my next review
Edit: Apparently me stating that this review was created at the time of the eleventh episode, the fact that I put "12 out of 12" for the MAL version of when I wrote this is bothering certain people. I understand completely what these people are complaining about. Why should I be limited to 12 out 12? Why not give me 20+ out of 12. I have knowledge on the manga which surpasses the limits of the animes episodes. Therefore 12+ is all free game as stated above. It doesn't matter what happens in episode 12 or 50 for that matter. That's like reviewing a restaurant that you've been to before anyone else had the chance. I'm allowed to review it however I want. I've sampled the dishes before the general public.
you feelin me?
ENJOY THE SERIES.
