Girls und Panzer is a military, school anime created by Actas. The anime has 12 episodes and aired from October 9th, 2012 to March 25th, 2013.
Storyline (8/10)
Girls und Panzer follows high schooler, Miho Nishizumi and her friends as they practice Sensha-do, the martial arts of tanks/Panzers. Miho’s school, Oarai high school takes part in a national Sensha-do championship after the student council revived the art. While Miho is from a family well known in the art, trauma from her previous school holds her back from wanting to participate in the competition. In the end she joins her new friends as they try to win
...
the championship and faces a number of different schools, all of which used different Panzers from around the world. The story is well paced for the most part but feels rushed half way into the season. One part that feels rushed is when Miho and friends, make it out they in for a hard fight but the viewer never gets to see it and only told that Oarai won.
Art (8/10)
The presentation of the Panzers in the show is very well done, as attention to detail of each Panzer makes it easy for the viewer to tell each Panzer apart. The animation of Panzer fights is great, as each Panzer moves realistically. The characters themselves are also designed well, as each character has a unique look to himself/herself, making it easy to tell who’s who.
Sound (8/10)
The uses of real life Panzer sounds, from the sound of the engine to the firing of shells, helps bring the show to life. The opening song, "DreamRiser" by Choucho and the ending song, "Enter Enter MISSION!" by Ankou Team, sounds great and creates a more joyful mood for the anime. The characters' voices have been used in an interesting way and as each school is based in a different country, the characters speaks with variegated accents and uses Panzers unique to its country.
Characters (8/10)
Miho Nishizumi, voiced by Mai Fuchigami – She is Ankou team’s commander and the leader of her school’s team. She is from a well-known Sensha-do family, but has tried to avoid Panzers ever since a traumatic event took place at her last school, She is also very caring about her friends' feelings and is always considerate.
Saori Takebe, voiced by Ai Kayano – She is Ankou team’s radio operator. She is one of the people who befriends Miho on her first day. She joins Miho in Sensha-do in an attempt to become more popular with the guys.
Hana Isuzu, voiced by Mami Ozaki – She is Ankou team’s Gunner. She also befriends Miho on her first day. She was unhappy with her way of life, and decidesed to take up Sensha-do with her friends in order to change her life. After a while, she falls in love with her team’s Panzer main gun. (The love part seems like a spoiler XD)
Yukari Akiyama, voiced by Ikumi Nakagami – She is Ankou team’s loader. She is Panzer otaku and has a vast knowledge of them, which is helpful for her team.
Mako Reizei, voiced by Yuka Iguchi – She is Ankou team’s driver. She is a quiet and gloomy girl, who is always late to school because she hates mornings. She can instantly learn anything by reading, but even though she is top in class, she does Sensha-do to earn more credits to make up for her being late all the time.
Enjoyment (8/10)
I found Girls und Panzer to be an enjoyable anime to watch; while it wasn’t mind blowing or one of the best I've ever watched, it still had great elements. I found the story to be interesting, even though some parts felt rush, like the hype fight that the viewer never sees. The attention to detail on the Panzers is great and brings them to life for the viewer. The characters also had a lot of work put into them as they behavior and speech patterns reflect which school and country they are from.
Overall (8/10)
In the end Girls und Panzer is an anime that while isn’t one of best you can watch, it still delivers a good story and some good action with Panzers fighting each other. As such, if you like Panzers, young girls fighting or are looking to try something different, then I recommend giving Girls und Panzer a try.

All locations are easy to recognize and all character have a unique look to them, making it easy for the viewer to recognize the anime’s characters.
Sound (9/10)
Nekomonogatari: Kuro’s background music has been well-made, as each musical piece fits the anime very well. The opening theme at the start of the first episode is “Perfect Slumber” sung by Yui Hoire and the ending theme at the end of fourth episode is “Kieru Daydream” sung by Marina Kawano. Both of these songs are well-sung. The opening theme’s vocals are soft and have slow beats, while the ending theme has fast pace and a more powerful feeling, which was made thanks to the singer. The voice of each character sounds great and is able bring each of them to life to the viewer.
Characters (10/10)
Nekomonogatari: Kuro focuses on Koyomi Araragi and Tsubasa Hanekawa.
Koyomi Araragi was voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya. He is a third year high school student that was attacked by a vampire during the spring break and was turned into a vampire. He was able to turn back to being a human; however, he still has some of his abilities from the past. Tsubasa Hanekawa was voiced by Yui Horie. She is Koyomi’s classmate and the class representative. She is an oddity specialist. She knows what they want and how to avoid them. In Nekomonogatari: Kuro she suffers from stress and falls in danger when the cursed cat appears.
Enjoyment (9/10)
Nekomonogatari: Kuro is an anime that while being only 4 episodes long is very interesting. With its balance of comedy scenes, supernatural elements and with a grain of romantic scenes, the show is very thrilling. Its unique art style is a nice thing; it mixes different types of art together making it impressive. While the most of the music isn’t something to write home about, there are some songs like the OP and the ED, which are great to listen to, as they help to understand the show better. The voice actors did a very good job, as they were able to make their characters look alive. The characters themselves are very interesting, as they attract viewer’s attention, making them want to know more about them. The message that Nekomonogatari: Kuro gives is following: people are unable to understand what they can’t see.
Overall (9/10)
Nekomonogatari: Kuro is a very good start to the Monogatari series, as it introduces some new characters and gives the viewers a quick glance at what the rest of the series will look like. While it is a very short anime, only four episodes long, it does a good job explaining things to the public that is new to the series. So if you are a veteran, or a newcomer, Nekomonogatari: Kuro is a great anime to watch.

It is advisable to read this review after seeing the first season of Seitokai no Ichizon.
Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 is a very enjoyable anime with a good comedy and some heart-warming moments. But let’s see if it is different from the first season.
Student Council's Discretion, Seitokai no Ichizon, has the following genres: comedy, parody, school and harem. The anime is based on the light novel by Aoi Sekina and Kira Inugami; the show was produced by AIC and it aired between October 13, 2012 and December 15, 2012. The anime has 10 episodes in total.
Story-line (7/10)
Just like in the first season of Seitokai no
...
Ichizon, the second season doesn’t have the story-line, because all episodes aren’t connected and the events of one episode don’t add much to the next episode. But unlike the first season, most episodes of the second season have more scenes taking place outside of the student council’s room, which was made in an attempt to make the second different from the first. The story-line continues from where the first season ended with only 6 more months until the graduation day, with Kurimu and Chizuru graduating, and Minatsu and Mafuyu moving schools, leaving Ken with the task of creating his harem much harder to accomplish. So, throughout the second season, Ken tries to make the four girls happy and to show them how much he loves them. The comedy part in the second season was somewhat weaker than in the first season; yet, the character development received much more attention than in the first season. But for some reason the interaction between the characters felt forced and unfeasible.
Art (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 uses a very similar art style to the first season, with the only noticeable change being the use of brighter colors and a smoother look to the animation, which made the show more attractive to the viewer. Another difference was that the student council’s room was different from what it was in the first season. In Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2, more time was given to the scenes outside the student council’s room, which was interesting, since they showed other places, including Ken’s room. This gave the viewer something new, instead of keeping them just in the student council room and in that room only, which the first season did most of the time. This also allowed the viewer to see other parts of the characters’ lives outside the student council room. All in all, the characters still look well-designed and pleasing to look at, just like in the first season.
Sound (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 captured the same feeling with the music like the first season did. The new opening for Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 gave a nice feeling, with its soft and cute vocals, while the ending, unlike in the first season, was sung by the female singer. The background music was well-made and each musical piece fitted the mood of what the characters were taking about. The voice actors/actresses did one hell of a job voicing their characters; their characters felt to be real and I did like it.
Characters (9/10)
The anime follows five members of the student council at Hekiyou Academy.
--Kurimu Sakurano, voiced by Mariko Honda (Yuuko Aioi from Nichijou and Mazinger Z from Robot Girls Z.) She is a child-like president of the student council, who acts somewhat childish and loves sweets. At the beginning of nearly every episode she writes briefings on a white board. In season 1, Ken revealed that he met Kurimu in the spring, while helping her carry boxes.
--Chizuru Akaba, voiced by Mina (Yuuto Amakawa from Omamori and Sohara Mitsuki from Sora no Otoshimono) She is a sadistic secretary, who loves Kurimu and is always trying to cuddle and abuse her. Ken met her in the autumn, when he was suffering from a broken heart by the two girls he loved.
--Minatsu Shiina, voiced by Misuzu Togashi (Origami Tobiichi from Date a Live and Yukiteru Amano from Mirai Nikki.) She is a tomboyish vice-president, who loves shounen to a point that most of her suggestions are based upon them. Ken met Minatsu in the summer.
--Mafuyu Shiina, voiced by Iori Nomizu (Zuikaku and Shoukau from Kancolle and Nymph from Sora no Otoshimono). She is Minatsu’s little sister and the club’s treasurer. She is addicted to video games and loves BL novels. Ken met Mafuyu in the winter in an online chat room.
--Ken Sugisaki, voiced by Takashi Kondou (Hibiki Laytis from Fairy Tail and Takumi Kaizu from _Summer.) She is the valedictorian, or “blue chip” seat of the student council, because of being the highest scoring student in his group. He loves to play eroge and bishoujo games. He dreams and plans to make the rest of the student council members his harem.
Enjoyment (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2, did feel to me weaker than the first season, but it is still enjoyable to me. The story was interesting and it had some funny moments, but in comparison with the first season, it had a more serious feel to it, whereas the first season was more focused on the comedy. The art was pleasing and the sound delivered the same feeling, apart from the two things: firstly, most of the ending songs didn’t give me the same feelings like the ones in the first season and secondly, Chizuru’s new voice actress couldn’t give me the same feeling that the old one did, especially in the sadistic scenes. But aside from that, it was a very good watch.
Overall (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 suffers from what sometimes happens in some sequels: the prequel overshadows the sequel. While Seitokai no Ichizon Lv.2 was still enjoyable to watch, it just wasn’t able to match with the first season. This desire to spend enough time on the characters’ development only ruined the second season. Did they want to make a good comedy, or perhaps did they want to make something more than a romantic comedy? That is the question I can’t answer.
All in all, if you didn’t like the first season, there is no reason for you to watch the second. It is not an eye-candy, it is a show, which will help you to chuckle and just to kill your free time. Give it a try!

Allow me to share my opinion on Seitokai no Ichizon.
Student Council's Discretion (Seitokai no Ichizon) is a parody, comedy, harem anime based on the light novel by Aoi Sekina and Kira Inugami. The show was produced by Studio Deen and aired between October 2, 2009 and December 18, 2009. The anime has 12 episodes in total.
Story-line (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon doesn’t have a plot, as its episodes are standalone and the events of all episodes don’t add much to the next episodes. Every episode shows the council members chatting, instead of doing things a normal student council should do. Each episode is packed with plenty
...
of jokes and parodies from other anime. The show doesn’t have enough characters’ development; yet, it does describe characters, which helps the viewer to form a better opinion on the anime’s cast.
Art (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon’s art style uses a mix of colors to make the show more appealing to the viewer. The show takes place mostly in the student council’s room, which is surprisingly doesn’t get boring at all. For the scenes that don’t take place in the student council room, they are beautiful to look at. The characters have all been well designed and are pleasing to look at. Overall, the show’s art style has a feel that nothing has been sloppily made, or rushed, which was, of course, a big plus of this show.
Sound (8/10)
The music of the opening gives the viewer a nice feeling with its cute and soft vocals, whereas the ending songs leave the viewer with a laugh, as the lyrics make fun of the otaku culture and are just funny to listen to. Each ending song is different to give the viewer something new at the end of each episode, which I liked much. The background music has been well-made, because each music piece fits the mood of what the characters are talking about. To my big surprise, all voice actors did one hell of a job voicing their characters. They were new to the industry; yet, they managed their work.

Enjoyment (8/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon is an anime that shows that a heavily detailed plot isn’t always needed to make an enjoyable anime. Its use of jokes and parodies really helps to carry the show. The anime’s cast made the show very amusing, and I found them quite likable. The message that is given to the viewer in Seitokai no Ichizon is friendship. It reminds the viewer what most high schoolers find important, being able to spend time on studying, talking, relying on others for support, and building bonds with people they like.
Overall (8,4/10)
Seitokai no Ichizon has a nice charm to it with its comedy. The only problem of this show is that some of the show’s jokes rely on the viewer and that the viewer should have a good experience in anime, which may be difficult for one. While there are many anime better than Seitokai no Ichizon, it may still be enjoyable for one. I recommend this show to people who like comedy and simple stories without the need for a deeper plot.

Kantai Collection: KanColle is an Action, Comedy, Slice of life, Military, Sci-fi anime based of the web browser game created by Kadokawa Games. The anime was created by Diomedéa Studio and was aired on January 8, 2015 to March 26, 2015 and lasting for 12 episodes.
Plot
The plot follows Special Type Destroyer Fubuki, a young girl who is a Kanmusu, girls who possess a spirit of a naval vessel within themselves and use these spirits to fight the Abyssal fleet who are threatening humanity from the sea. These girls live at naval bases, where they are taught to fight the Abyssal. Fubuki is a new
...
recruit at one of these naval bases upon her arrival she joins the Third Torpedo Squadron and is sent into battle despite having very limited combat training. While in battle, she is saved by Akagi, An Aircraft Carrier, and afterwards Fubuki decides that she needs to become stronger so she can fight at Akagi’s side.
The Show does a good job of explaining its story to the viewer by explaining the different kinds of Kanmusu and what the job in the fleet are. While the fighting is keep at a minimal, the focus of the show is based on Fubuki and her comrades while they train at the naval base which is interesting and funny at the same time. Now, because of the anime having so many character and character building, I going to only give the names of girls and what type of Kanmusu they are:
Fubuki, Voiced by Sumire Uesaka – Special Type Destroyer, a part of the Third Torpedo Squadron
Mutsuki, Voiced by Rina Hidaka – Destroyer, a part of the Third Torpedo Squadron
Yūdachi, Voiced by Yumi Tanibe – Destroyer, a part of the Third Torpedo Squadron
Sendai, Jintsū and Naka, Voiced by Ayane Sakura – Light Cruisers, a part of the Third Torpedo Squadron with Jintsū as Flagship.
Akagi, Voiced by Saki Fujita – Aircraft carrier, a part of the First Carrier Division
Kongō, Hiei, Haruna and Kirishima, Voiced by Nao Tōyama – Battleships, a part of the Second Fleet
Nagato and Mutsu, Voiced by Ayane Sakura – Battleships, Secretaries of the fleet.
Kitakami and Ōi, Voiced by Yuka Ōtsubo – Torpedo Cruisers
Presentation
KanColle art style uses a bright blend of colors to breathe life into the show for the viewer. Each of the characters have been given a unique personality, making them stand out compared to one another and easily recognizable to the viewer. The show uses two different animation styles: one for the action scenes and the characters every day life. The use of a different style for the action scenes helps making them more beautiful and interesting to the viewer, thus making them some of the best parts of the show. The voice acting in this is very impressive because of some voice actresses doing multiple characters especially Ayane Sakura, as some of her characters have conversations with each other and the viewer is able to tell which character is talking by their voice.
My Opinion
KanColle is an anime where I did not know much about before watching, that has made me interested in the Kantai Collection game series. The story, while it not one of the best I've seen was still enjoyable. The characters have been designed with a lot of care in terms of looks and personality, and because of this care the art style over all was appealing to me. The message I got from KanColle is that as long you keep trying your hardest, you can achieve anything you put your mind and heart to. Finally, I love the character development of Fubuki over the course of the show as she always tries her best and doesn't give up.
Verdict
KanColle is one of the anime that while looking at each part separately, like basic story or characters, is nothing special; however, when combined together makes a very interesting show. Anyone, both fans of Kantai Collection or newcomers, can enjoy its characters, art style and story. While there is better stories out there, I still recommend people to give KanColle a go as it takes a common idea and makes it something unique and new to people watching.

Hanayamata is a slice of life, comedy anime based of the manga Manga Time Kirara Forward by Sou Hamayumiba and was created by Madhouse studio. The anime aired from July to September 2014 and lasted 12 episodes long.
Plot
Hanayamata’s Plot revolves around 14 years old girl, Naru Sekiya, who has a lack of interests except for fairy tales, until she meets Hana N. Fountainstand, one night and watches her dancing Yosakoi. Together, they create a Yosakoi club at school so they can enter the upcoming Yosakoi, but getting new members is not so easy. The story of Hanayamata may sound like some other anime involving music
...
and dancing, do not let you think Hanayamata is the nothing new. While the main focus is on Yosakoi, the show doesn't fail in the development of the main characters over the course of the show and how each of the characters support each other with their troubles they find themselves in. While being a sol, the comedy in Hanayamata has been well done as not a lot of jokes get too over used and some of the quirks of each character adding to its enjoyment. Now on to the main characters of Hanayamata:
Naru Sekiya voiced by Reina Ueda(Mikan Akemi from Jitsu wa Watashi wa and Juri Makina from Harmonie) – is a 14 years old girl who lacks interests and confidence to try new things. She dreams to be dazzling like the princesses from the fairy tales she loves reading. That is until one night while walking home, she encounter Hana, who was doing yosakoi and joins in only to run away because she believes she can’t be dazzling as Hana. After being asked and saying no to Hana to create the yosakoi club, she finally agrees to help Hana after telling Naru about her dream of become a professional Yosakoi dancer. While Naru is very clumsy and gets scared preforming in front of people, she is very understanding person and caring of others.
Hana N. Fountainstand voiced by Minami Tanaka (Minami Katayama from Wake Up,Girls! and Game Gear from Hi☆sCoool! SeHa Girls) – is a transfer student from the US who is in Naru’s class. She transfers to Japan after falling in love with Yosakoi while on a trip to Japan a few years ago. While dancing one night, she meets Naru and offers her to dance with her. She decides to make the Yosakoi club at school so she could dance with others. She is bit of a tomboy and is over excited about many things.
Yaya Sasame voiced by Kaya Okuno (Hacka Doll No. 2 from Hacka Doll and Kaya kikuma from Wake Up,Girls!) – is a 14 years old girl and Naru’s best friend. She is part of a band at school and at the start very against doing Yosakoi with Naru and Hana until her dream of being part of a band falls apart and Naru shows her that she has a place in the group, making her join. She is very protective about Naru and becomes jealous when Naru starts to make new friends. While she is very smart and beautiful, she doesn't like people helping her and has very bad handwriting.

Presentation
Hanayamata uses a beautiful blend of bright colors to bring to show to life to the viewer and to show the beauty of the Yosakoi to them. Each character has been unique look to them to help the viewer recognize and to flesh out their personalities. The Animation of the characters is amazing as it really shine when the girls are dancing. The voice acting is very impressive as every character feels alive and the voice actresses of the main characters also sing the opening song and the final episode ending song.
My Opinion
Hanayamata is an anime that has really surprised me , it has one of the most beautiful art styles I have ever seen In anime the story has been brilliant well written and the dancing is one of the most interesting I ever seen. Hanayamata has a number of messages it give to the viewer, from we should do the things we love doing in our lives to having someone who we can care for, laugh and cry with is nice. Finally, each character really brings Hanayamata to life for me as each have their faults but they help each other to overcome them.
Verdict
Hanayamata is one of those hidden gems of 2014, over looked by bigger named shows, a real treat to watch. From the art to the characters, Hanayamata impresses the viewer with it take on the Sol idea. If you wanted to watch a good story, then if you haven’t already, you should give Hanayamata a go and you find a really anime.

Black★Rock Shooter (TV) is an action, science, fantasy and drama anime, which was created by Ordet and Sanzigen studios, with Shinobu Yoshioka as the director and Mari Okada as the lead writer. The anime first aired on February 2nd 2012, finished on March 22nd 2012, and was 8 episodes long.
In a nutshell.
Black★Rock Shooter (TV) has a story that centers on the two different worlds that are connected and everything, which happens in the first world, will affect the second. The anime follows the story of Mato Kuoi, a girl who struggles to keep her new friend Yomi Tananashi and Black★Rock Shooter, a mysterious girl
...
in the another world, fighting other beings for an unknown reason. The anime’s mixture of bright and dark art styles and its use of the animation to draw the viewer’s attention, as well as the splendid soundtrack, made the world of Black★Rock Shooter (TV) real for me. The strong message the show leaves to the viewer, we all feel pain and have our reasons to live on, but if we want to accomplish our aim, we should do it together, is impossible to ignore. I recommend Black Rock Shooter to everyone who is looking for a good; yet, short story; you won’t be disappointed.
Plot
The plot of Black★Rock Shooter (TV) revolves around the two worlds linked together: the first is the human world, where a girl called Mato Kuoi fights for her friendship with Yomi Tananashi, and the other world shows a mysterious girl, called Black★Rock Shooter, fighting other beings in fierce battles for an unknown reason. One thing is certain, there is some kind of a connection between Mato and Black Rock Shooter. Black★Rock Shooter (TV)’s story intertwines both worlds, so that negative effects in one are reciprocated in the other. The secrets hidden about each character will entice the viewer into wanting to learn more about what happens to Mato and her new relationship.
Now onto the main characters of Black★Rock Shooter (TV):
Mato kuroi – Voiced by Kana Hanazawa (Shiina Mayuri from Steins gate and Tachibana Kanade from Angel Beats) – She is the main character in the human world and has some form of a connection to Black★Rock Shooter. She plays for a basketball team at her school and is called the First Year Ace by other members of the team for being very skilled at the game. She becomes Yomi’s friend on her first day of school, but someone starts tormenting Mato because of that friendship.
Yomi Takanashi – Voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro (Asada Shino from Sword Art Online II and Hatsuse Izuna from No Game No Life) – She becomes friends with Mato on her first day at school after moving back from Germany. She is not used to making new friends as her family has been moving around throughout her life. She is a part of the school’s art club, as she is very good at drawing. She gets intimidated by her childhood friend, who has a lot of control over her because of something Yomi believes she did wrong, after she find out about Yomi’s Friendship with Mato.
Black★Rock Shooter – Voiced by Kana Hanazawa – She is the main character of the other world and has some kind of connection to Mato. She carries a rock cannon and a katana, she fights other beings in her world for some mysterious purpose. The message Black★Rock Shooter (TV) tries to deliver to us is that only we are guilty of our problems and that only we can solve them; however, the majority of people just want to run away or to give up, but with the help and support of the people close to us, we can overcome all difficulties.
Presentation
Black★Rock Shooter (TV) uses a mixture of very sharp, bright and dark color scheme to attract viewer’s attention, and to present the characters’ pain and struggles they face though out the story. The focus on how the two different worlds are connected, and can affect each other helps to peak the viewer’s interest about the show more. The animation of the characters is very well-made, specially the action scenes, as they show how much time and effort was put in, and it makes them one of best parts of Black★Rock Shooter (TV). While Black★Rock Shooter (TV) is a short anime, its story has depth, which may surprise the viewer, because many short anime don’t have this level of detail, which is a huge achievement of Black★Rock Shooter (TV). The voice acting was very well-done, with Kana Hanazawa’s voice of both Mato and Black★Rock Shooter. The soundtrack of the anime is beautiful, the music sounds soft and quiet when scenes take place in the human world, and heavy and fast pace when the action scenes in the other world happen. Finally, with the help of Supercell’s singers Hatusune Miku (Vocaloid and sings the Opening theme) and Koeda (Sings the ending theme), the soundtrack came to life to me.
My Opinion
It is an open secret that short anime don’t receive a good story’s and character’s development; however, Black★Rock Shooter (TV) proved to me that even a short anime might receive a good development. Black★Rock Shooter (TV) was able to do that in just 8 episodes and I think that it is a huge achievement. The connection of the characters, along with the blending of the two worlds, made it very interesting to watch as it creatively delivers the main message, "we all have pains that we want to run away from and most of the time, and we don’t know what to do about them alone." Lastly, Black★Rock Shooter (TV) doesn't do what some shows do, leave the viewer with a cliff-hanger, instead leaves the viewer with an ending that doesn't leave any loose ends.
Verdict
Black★Rock Shooter (TV) is a hidden gem in anime and has one of the most satisfying stories I have seen in a long time. It shows us that a story doesn't need to be long to be interesting. Throughout the story, Black★Rock Shooter (TV) describes that everyone around us has pain and struggles in their lives but we must stand up against them and help the each other overcome and accept ourselves. I recommend anyone who loves stories about hardships to give Black★Rock Shooter (TV) a chance and you won’t feel disappointed.

SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation is a music, slice of life anime co-created by Nitroplus (the creators of Super Sonico) and White Fox (the creators of the anime); the anime has 12 episodes and aired between January and March 2014.
Plot
It is important to note that SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation was designed as a marketing tool for Nitroplus to sell Super Sonico brand to people. Each episode we see a new day of Sonico’s life; she gets into different situations and different trials. It is an open secret that all slice-of-life shows don’t have a complex story;yet, it helps you to relax; that is
...
why we watch SoL shows. In Sonico’s case, the show was sometimes boring; yet, it was a very funny experience for me.
Main Characters
Main Protagonist – Super Sonico - Voiced by Ayano Yamamoto (Nae Tennouji, Arisa Kajiwara) – She is an 18 years old college student that works as a model, a waitress at her grandmother’s restaurant and is in the band called First Astronomical Velocity with her two best friends; she has the position of the band’s vocalist and guitarist. Sonico always wears headphones and is never seen without them; she is easy to get embarrassed in front of other people, she sleeps so much that it requires someone to help her to wake up, she also can’t live without pasta. All in all, her character was funny for me: she tries her best to get the job done, even when it gets her into problems, she enjoys helping people with their problems and she always stays happy no matter what.
Suzu Fujimi - Voiced by Mai Goto (Pina Sformklan Estor, Chelsea Blankett) – She is one of the Sonico’s best friends and a member of the First Astronomical Velocity as its bassist and leader. She normally wears a pink nurse uniform and tries to get Sonico to wear crazy outfits for concerts; Suzu is very amusing character: she always has a plan to solve problems and tries to help Sonico with her problems whenever she can do it.
Fuuri Watanuki - Voiced by Mami Ozaki (Hana Isuzu .Elena Shiina) – She is also one of the Sonico’s best friends and a member of the First Astronomical Velocity as its drummer. She is very shy, always sleepy, or hungry. She was a very interesting character for me, as her indifference, has always caused problems to her friends and it was really funny.
Presentation
SoniAni has a very bright color scheme to draw the viewer to the life of Super Sonico, which is nice and fun. Alack, there were also some problems about the characters: the show focused on Sonico well, but the other characters didn't receive enough time for development, and it was a real problem of that show. The animation of the characters; on the other hand, is very well-made and looks great, except when it switches to a different style, when the OP and ED were shown; the animation in OP and ED was good, but for some reason, the animation in the anime was much worse.
The voice actors did amazing job and I highly appreciated it; their characters looked alive and realistic; it was very pleasant for me. Finally, the music part was is one of the best things about the show; the songs fit every episode well.
My opinion
SoniAni is one of the anime, which I can’t hate, but I found it difficult to enjoy a show so similar to K-on, IdolMaster and others. The anime did everything to make its music scenes similar to Love Live’s, but when it works well in Love Live, in SoniAni it feels very forced and not needed. While I know the show was a marketing tool, they could have done a better job of presenting Super Sonico to the public; the story didn't feature anything new, some episodes were boring to watch and the style of animation used for the songs was much better than for the anime. I did enjoy Sonico’s, Suzu’s and Fuuri’s characters a lot, as they really carried the show for me, but the supporting character were dull and boring.
The Verdict
SoniAni is an anime that can only be enjoyed by a fan of the brand; its lack of the story, the focus on Sonico and bad development of supporting characters (not saying that the show is cliché) ,will probably make it hard for most of the people to enjoy SoniAni.

Short Version
Psycho-Pass is an Action, Fantasy, Sci-Fi anime that uses the concept of a world where your mental state is always being checked and finding criminals is easy, until someone beats the system and wants the same system that society depends on destroyed. The story is one of complex but pleasing stories ever made, how the unlikely partnership of Akame and Kogami tries to save the system but not everything is what is seen to be and the rivalry between Kogami and Antagonist is the most interesting part of the story . It’s dark, sharp art style and animations makes the fight scenes and its
...
art design overall visually beautiful. The voice acting real complements Psycho-Pass’ excellently, making one of the most satisfying aspects of the show. Psycho-pass is a must watch, as it won't disappoint you and it has one of the most interesting story–lines i seen in a long time and i would recommend Psycho-Pass to anyone looking for a good story to enjoy.
Full Version
Psycho-Pass is an Action, Fantasy, Sci-Fi anime created by Production I.G., written by Gen Urobuchi and directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani.
Plot
The plot of the anime is set in the year 2113; Japan uses The Sibyl System, a system that can actively measure a person's mental state, their personality and the probability of them committing a crime, by using Cymatic scans of a person's brain. The Crime Coefficient, a measurement of the probability of a person committing a crime, gets too high, the person in question this then called a latent Criminal that then gets pursued by the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal investigation Division's Inspectors and Enforcers to be apprehended to retrieve treatment or to be killed if there Crime Coefficient is too high to be treated. The Public Safety Bureau's Criminal investigation Division is made up of special teams that uses latent criminals that can't lower there Crime Coefficient enough to return to be redeemed that they won't commit a crime but not high enough to be killed, as enforcers to hunt down other latent criminals and Inspectors, whose job is to make sure that enforcers do their job and stop them from escaping. These teams use a weapon called Dominators, a handgun that can do a Cymatic scan on the person that it aimed at. If the person's Crime Coefficient is low enough then the gun can't be fired on them, if it's higher than is acceptable, it will stun the person when fired and if it's too high, it will kill the person if fired.
Main Characters
Main Female Protagonist - Akane Tsunemori (Voiced by Kana Hanazawa) - She is a new inspector of unit one of The Public Safety Bureau's Criminal investigation Division. She has a calm demeanor, strong sense of justice and doesn't like to kill latent criminals if they can be saved by using treatment. I find her character very interesting because of her sense of right and wrong, and she treats enforcers like people, not hunting dogs like most inspectors.
Main Male Protagonist- Shinya Kogami (Voiced by Tomokazu Seki) - He is one of the enforcers in unit one. He unlike Akane is not afraid to act even if it breaks the law system to stop criminals so no one has to worry about increasing their Crime Coefficient and become a latent criminal. Kogami is a well-made character, he's partnership with Akane shows that while they share and work together the same goals, they don't compromise each other’s ideals as both of them think their own ideals are right. Also Kogami's rivalry with the Antagonist, is very interesting as each are willing to do anything to achieve their own goals and their understanding of each other.
Main Antagonist - ????? (Voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) - He is determined to rid the world of The Sybil System, because spoilers i can't say why but it very complex and makes sense.
Presentation
Psycho-Pass uses a very sharp and dark color scheme that draws viewers into its world of anguish and helps show the symbolism of the horror that Akane is forced to endure all though the story. The focus on the character's personalities is great as it makes the viewer interested in the story more. The animation of the characters are beautiful as they move so smoothly and so life like as best shown in the action scenes making them some of the best parts of the anime. The voice acting of the characters are well done, specially The Antagonist as he sounds so calm but scary as he can sound the same while killing people. The music is helps the feel of the anime and some pieces well as it really fit with what going on screen.
My Opinion
Psycho-Pass is one of these anime that's story is so interesting because of being so complex and not everything is black and white. The way Kogami and the Antagonist's rivalry works is amazing, the way they can understand each other and how each other won't back down. The way the world works is interesting but also scary because of once you Crime Coefficient gets too high, your life is over.
Verdict
Psycho-Pass is one of those anime that are a must watch as it has so much complexity. Its world shows one of the possible futures of our own world and a scary one at that. I recommend anyone who loves a good story to give Psycho-Pass a try and you won't be disappointed.
