I had a lot of expectation for this since it has such a high rating and is a top 3 anime in myanimelist. I was completely disappointed after watching the show. Many who have watched this said they do not understand the show, but I find it to be easy to understand. For me, the anime itself is not complex but tries to be.
The concept is good, time-traveling, butterfly effect and it shows that every little things in our life is important. If one were to change something, no matter how small you think it is, it could still affect the future. However, the
...
execution itself is horrible. Uninteresting characters with typical dating sim personalities, art that is not pleasant to the eyes, boring sounds. I seriously do not understand the high ratings that the watcher gave to this anime. I think the novel or manga version of this would be better than the anime.

I have watched till episode 4. Did I ever read the webtoon? No. So this is my opinion without knowing the webtoon.
So far, there doesn't seem to be any particular main plot. Just the ML who loves fighting and would want to fight lots of strong people. His friends who are considered MCs I guess, have some background story but somehow, the way the anime is directed doesn't make the background story seem emotional in any way when it is supposed to be emotional. I have to say that the anime fail in applying the emotions needed except for the hype in fighting. I
...
am not sure if there will be any real plot in this story but I guess there will be a need to explain how some people have incredible powers and for what purpose the tournament was made, as well as who's behind it. I am continuing watching in a hope for it all to be explained in the future.
I personally do not mind a "no plot" anime as long as the animation is great especially the fighting scenes, and fortunately, this anime has a really good animation. I guess seeing from the trailer, the animation is really the main selling point of the anime. I am just hoping that the animation continue to be great and won't be failing in the middle like Dororo lol. One thing that bothers me though, is the artwork, I am not sure why their noses and ears are red, its kind of distracting especially when some of the mob characters do not have red ears and noses.
(This part may contain spoiler)
The other thing that bothered me is that I feel that the story seems to be moving forward too fast? Like there is an episode where the conflict lies in Yoo Mira getting married but it really got solved in one episode and somehow the way the anime is telling Yoo Mira's story and the way the story made the conflict solved is really rushed and weird. Again, it fails to rouse my emotion and kinda feels abit irrelevant? Like if the anime doesn't have that episode/conflict, its also fine lol. The fights are also really fast, in this pace, I am guessing that most characters that are shown in the opening and had fight with the MCs will disappear just like that and only appear in the first few episodes (I might be wrong but it feels like that since there is only little to none background story on those characters in the anime, most only has a little interactions with the MC before the fight and no interaction/story at all after the fight).
In conclusion if you want some emotional or real plot, I recommend you to not watch this. However, if you just like action movies with a lot of fighting even if there is no plot, then this might be for you. Do i enjoy it? Yes because I don't mind a lot of fighting scene with no plot especially when the animation is good. The score that I gave is purely due to my preference in which I enjoy the show.
Story 3/10 - No plot
Art 8/10 - Good except for the red nose and ears
Character 4/10 - Decent design but no development
Enjoyment 7/10 - As I said I do not mind no plot
Overall 6/10 - It's good that I enjoy it so it got a pretty high score despite the story

Comparing to season 1, this season has improved a whole lot. Sawamura finally became useful. If you like Miyuki then this is the season where he shines the most. There were some epic moments here and there as well as touching moments. What I do not enjoy however, is the episode where Seido had to compete against a school with many bulky school member. I know for a fact that the author is trying to make it as a challenge that Seido had to overcome, however, it made it seem like the author is encouraging violence in sports. I can elaborate more but it can
...
be seen as a spoiler so I'll just say the things that the other school did, the other school coach and the umpire at that time just really encourages violence. I really hope Seido doesn't meet that team ever again in the future.

Diamond no Ace really delivers in terms of Youthness. My old soul is crying watching this. The art is also acceptable since its an old anime, though there are so many characters that it might be troubling for you to remember them all, especially the minor characters. Moreover, many of them looked quite similar and doesn't really stand out, none of them have some unique features like different colouring of hair or something which made it more difficult to remember.
The story itself is actually quite enjoyable but my problem is that I don't particularly like how they drag on the story? The nervousness during
...
the match is killing me. Moreover, the main character is... normal? and a bit on the annoying side. He is basically a meat head that is lucky I guess. In the first part of the story he was actually acceptable due to his confidence in himself and his team as well as his mentality. He had the courage and was excited for strong opponents. BUT! As the story goes on, he lost this mentality that made him unique. Even Furuya now has a better guts than him. This disappoints me as he lost the one thing that made him acceptable to be the MC (for me). He has a bad skill, not smart, weak mentality, easy to get jealous, know he is suck but still greedy for the mound. At first he is at least helpful in improving the mood for the team, now he is basically ... I dunno ..
I am fully aware that this story supposed to show the "ups" and "downs" of the MC, how he overcame challenge and all, but if this keeps up, I don't think its enjoyable. Having to watch 70+ episode for the MC to not grow for the best but to worst is a bit too much isn't it? I think the fault is not on the story but the pacing itself. It's honestly depressing to see the "downs" for an extended period of time and no "ups". Moreover, they let us grow on the character that are supposed to go abit too much. I swear I liked Jun and Yuuki too much and was seriously disappointed to see them retired.
Also, I'm not sure if its just me but I was confused by many of the baseball terms used. There is no clear explanation on what each of them is so I had to google it. I suppose it will be hard to watch for those who knows nothing about baseball and had no interest in sports. Mind you, I watch other sports anime and was never this confused watching them. The terms are just too much in baseball. This might also be one of factors that lessen my enjoyment in watching this anime.

If you like a perfectly made sense story with explanation and good plot then this is not for you. There are many plot holes, the characters are your typical one dimensional character, not much progress and even if there is some progress, it happens super fast and without an explanation. Despite all of that, I think the story overall is not bad, you do not need to watch it seriously, just relax and enjoy it. Also, I love the art, animation and the soundtrack. Overall, I enjoyed the anime and find that it is so relaxing to watch, hence I gave it a good score.

I rated 5 on this, why?
The story itself is definitely a cliche and overused story like Naruto, Boku no Hero Academia, Fairy Tail and such. It is about a weak main protagonist who work hard and will never give up. Hence, he somehow gain power and became strong. I personally do not mind cliche and overused story line but it has to be executed nicely with at least some uniqueness in how the world in the story works or such. The world use magic which is actually similar to Fairy Tail but is somehow different since it uses grimoire. The character is one dimensional though
...
there will be some development in the manga, still I am not attached to any of the characters.
I actually read the manga and thought that it wasn't that bad at all. However, even though the anime follows the manga closely, the feeling that I got from the manga is different from the anime. How? The execution of the anime is outright awful. The animation sometimes are hard to watch and the soundtracks used is dreadful and doesn't give the feeling that it should for the scenes. The supposedly sad scenes doesn't make me feel sad at all, since the time given for the sad scenes to truly seep into my heart are too short and the soundtrack doesn't really give any sad feelings. Scenes that are supposed to make me feel hyped was again destroyed by weird soundtrack. Either the soundtrack are too old like old RPG game soundtrack or I am not even sure what. I am also annoyed by the main character's voice and behaviour. Somehow I don't find the main character too annoying when I read the manga, maybe I imagined it differently but the anime is far too annoying for me. Overall, it really is a cliche, overused and mediocre story and animation that you can actually still enjoy, but it was greatly ruined by the sound.

I have watched the entire episode of the anime itself the summary movie. The concept of the story itself is actually good though maybe some people won't like the humor element that has been added in all the seriousness. Or maybe the character itself was never really intended to be serious.
In this movie however, less humorous action can be found. It even goes to the point where it is nerve wracking. The concept however, lacks details. Many questions are left with things I do not understand such as,
"how mirai can go back to life?"
"why she suddenly lost her memory?" and
"how can
...
the youmu not affect others when it should have infected them the moment you meet them??
Well suppose it does affect them by showing how weak they have become. Still, they are supposed to be overcome by darkness and suppose they are stronger than darkness and are able to suppress it , it does not show in the movie how. Moreoever, does pulling the affected person from darkness kills the youmu inside the person? If it does not then the possibility of them going dark or mad again would be big no?
Still, despite the lack of details, I love how the movie ended.
