Typical reincarnation plot with horrible execution.

The animation quality is outdated by at least a decade, failing to impress with its lackluster visuals. The character design also misses the mark, contributing to an overall subpar aesthetic.

Both the voice acting and sound effects are disappointing. The sound effects, especially during fight scenes and moments of alchemy, are underwhelming and reminiscent of uncomfortable, strained noises made by a constipated uncle rather than dynamic action sounds.

The plot progresses without any significant impact on overall situation of the main character. If the creators used the runtime on actual events instead of side characters expressing "Oh! is that so? ... they're so good/bad', the series would be much more bearable.

Character development is virtually non-existent, and the portrayal of power levels is inconsistent and unconvincing.

The main character remains useless, both before and after his reincarnation.
The only reason others seem to value the MC is because they don't know of his previous life. Otherwise, he'd be less significant than even a side character.

A compelling main character is typically defined by their actions and how efficiently or differently they execute their plans into fruition.
On the other hand the MC here is a fortunate bootlicker, who can only make a few pills to make others envious to gain from his future exploits. In combat situations, he appears powerless, relying on others for protection and glow like a glowing radroach from time to time.
After ten millennium of experience from his previous life, one would expect more substantial growth and capability, but unfortunately, this anime falls short in that regard.

From everything I have noticed, the word 'unreasonable" doesn't exist in that universe for all the bs that gets thrown into the viewers.

Calling it bad would be an understatement.

The story is all bs.
The animation is a disaster.
The main character is incompetent, even with a second chance at life. As per the convenience of the author, the MC shows unparalleled skills thanks to his reincarnation, whereas most of the times he acts as a buffoon where even an idiot could handle the situation better.
Most of the plot seems 'borrowed' from other sources, and without their context, they make no sense.
The voice acting is uneven. At times the MC's voice gets self-loathing while his actions say otherwise, which gets irritating at times.

My biggest regret is not heeding @Anzoner's ... review.
It doesn't deserve my time and effort to write a detailed review.

P.S. I generally hold the source material in higher regard than its adaptations, but no matter how I view it, the author seems to lack the skill to create anything original. Additionally, to extend the storyline, they rely on whatever random ideas come to mind.

This series is unappreciated, much like our protagonist.

Landed upon this donghua after completing most of the ones better rated than this, and surprisingly it was not a disappointment.

The MC Xu Wuzhou can be somewhat compared to that of Dubu Xiaoyao, but unlike that, Xu Wuzhou's character is far better developed, and his actions are more reasonable. and his actions are meaningful. On the surface, he appears to be an incompetent rascal, but his inner persona is scheming yet sensible, with a strong sense of self-respect. This makes him much more likable compared to similar MCs, such as the one in Dubu Xiaoyao.

The animation is generic ... of typical donghuas and need no separate mention.

The story is typical with good execution. The storyboard has many unnecessary scenes in S1 for the considered episode duration but are improved in S2.
The comedy is okay and not overemphasized.

Considering the MC's previous lifetime was equivalent to his respawn in current life, the character's development seems to be justified and not unreasonably great.
The power-ups on the other hand are sudden and unrealistic and probably the most unreasonable part of the series.

The female characters do not seem to be fawning over MC unreasonably afais, which gives a breath of fresh air.

Plotholes are everywhere but nonetheless it is still a good watch and not frustrating like some other names.

A disappointment compared to S1.

This sequel managed to be a disappointment in every way possible, be it character portrayal, VA, storyline or animation.
Particularly disappointed with the same monotonous portrayal of the MC in both character representation and voice acting. Even after his father's murder, his character behaves casually, which is seen in many donghuas and is one of the primary reason for audience not getting invested in the main character.
The same rise and fall plot is followed all over again and again, where the MC is supposed to use his previous knowledge to get out of the situation. This hardly makes sense for a reincarnation ... plot.
The time skip was done in a horrible way, and the fight before that was a complete mess.
After the time skip, the power levels seem to be completely ignored.
The MC seems to get exhausted sometimes after throwing two punches, sometimes never as per convenience of the scriptwriter.
Worst of all, they introduced trash-talking in battles in the sequel. He'll speak big and remain useless with others sacrificing to save him.
Every bit of it after around ep50 was frustrating to watch.

Overall, the sequel was a massive step down but still can be considered for watching if one wants to continue the story of our chubby-cheek MC.

Slow paced, bad animation, typical storyline.

To start with, this donghua would've been considered average or above just if it had a faster pace avoiding irrelevant data on worthless things. A good plot can ignore bad animation, and it *had* the potential.

Each episode being 8 mins, at most 1 min of actual content is there per episode. A serious lack of direction is what made it so pathetic.

The VAs did a great job when compared to similar donghua (except for the frequent 'heh!' by the condescending mc), and that might be the most bearable part of the series.

Lastly, the worst part is the conceited, sexist, impolite ... MC. Never seen him show respect when not in danger; only saves girls and that too when they're on the verge of death so he can take the credit.

Update: After a horrifying number of episodes, it does get better, graphics and pace, but MC remains the same.

This series started with a completely different chain of events, and it worked well considering the change in episode length.
As the previous season, the comedy was great at first and merged well with the storyline, but at the very end, it went haywire. They opted for a serious ending, but forced comedy and unreasonable character decisions made it a complete mess.
And don't even get me started with the unnecessary dialogues and cringy voice acting. Maybe the VA thought it was a good idea, but somebody should've spoken up to him for his own good.
All's well that ends well, but the end was a disaster.

A potentially good donghua, suffering because of a terrible MC.

It starts off pretty well with good comedy and characters (although the animation was horrible), and the MC was promising at best. But it gets so terrible at around 200 episodes that it feels like a single episode is kept on repeat - MC trash talking, getting girls without any effort, beating up bad guys (most seem way better than trash MC).

The story started off with good character introduction plot , and somewhere in between the author was aiming for character development with the MC actually developing some humility by introducing a suitable antagonist (Su ... Sixiang), but that was short lived. Right afterwards rather than developing his character, the author stuck with his immature and irresponsible characteristics hoping what the audience loved once will be loved forever. At best, it could be said the MC gets worse. His thoughtless actions become the reason for most of the mishaps and after solving them with his unjustified OP luck, everyone treats him as saviour. At the end of every stage of fight, this fool has the chance to end the villain, but instead starts his trashtalk waiting for them to flee, which feels like a desperate attempt by the author to extend the storyline. Even when situation is dire, his trashtalking doesn't end.

Comedy is the redeeming factor for the series, but that also makes it worse. The MC was never seen to get serious at any point of the series which indicates how shallow the character development is.

The female characters have their individuality but they succumb to affection for the MC like the characters in a hentai plot.
The best part of the series will be the frenemy Su Sixiang, and his character was supposed to give the MC some character depth, but instead he was nerfed to give the MC his accomplishment with 0 character development. If it was any other sensible donghua/anime, this guy would be considered the main character and our MC would be a side character at best.

The sound and voice acting of rest of the cast is okay, but hearing the same monotonous condescending deadpan voice of the MC gets irritating. It feels he's reading a textbook.
The animation gets better in the later stages, but its a far better watch at the start as the comedy and storyline in the initial stages make up for it.

To sum it all, it's a donghua created just for the sake of creating a donghua. If the main character had even a fraction of effort put into its character development, this donghua would be considered good if not great. But what we get makes it unbearable to continue to watch.
