It wasn't necessarily bad but sadly it didn't have something that special about it so as to call it good. Definitely not memorable, just a quick cute read.
Story 6
The plot is lighthearted, based mainly on comedy. One of the key points of the humor seems a bit more common to Japanese people than westerners and that is blood type. In Japan, there is a superstition linking blood type with personality just like some other people might associate a zodiac sign with personality. The main theme, kind of predictable, is "let's all just get along, human or non-human". There are many others series doing
...
this theme a lot of justice ( see Jitsu wa Watashi wa which also does comedy so damn good), but this one just lacked any of the conflicts associated with it.
Spoiler **** Everyone in the class seems to just not mind that their classmate is a vampire.
Art 8
The art was great, I liked how all characters looked. Their images fit their personalities (almost absent)
Character 4
Everyone except the two main characters is just bland. We don't know anything about them mostly, just few key things and it's just left at that. Even the main characters fail to be that relatable and interesting.
Enjoyment 5
It was funny in some ways. Though it's good it was short cause probably I wouldn't have had the patience had this been a longer story. At the same time, this is a shame. Cause maybe the story would've gotten much better if they got to develop the relationship between Mana and Okamoto-kun. So much potential is lost.
All in all, this is not a must read. You could give this a try if you want a short angst-free vampire story. (I love angst tho).

I couldn't stand not doing a review, I goddamn love this series. And while the first chapters might give you the wrong impression, all I can do is tell you to try to see what this manga is really about. You might think it's about outrageous comedy, perverts, many girls liking the main character and... well then, it's about that, but NOT ONLY about that. Let me explain further on.
Story -9
To me this manga was like living alongside the characters through all the comical to ridiculous, full of energy and passion, adventures of high school. It was so damn refreshing and unique. I could rarely
...
find this kind of comedy and silliness that makes you laugh out loud. What was amazing was that this wasn't all the series had to offer. The author did a great job to mix gracefully comedy, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. It does not go stale on any of these three. It showed us the fluff of being in love, the nervousness and courage of confessing, the toughness of unrequited love and moving moments of friendship.
Also note how interesting is that even though perverts are a sub theme of the story, this is not an ecchi manga. It's just not. Arousal is not the reaction the author wanted to get from the reader, thus this was all done in a comical way. It's far from the classic fan service where the author just uses provoking scenes as a way to fill the place of important story elements.
It manages to be a harem while not being a harem ?? But more of a story of requited and unrequited love. And the main character is really set on one girl.
Art - 10
No words, the character's expressions are priceless. Evil grins, blushing, laughing, horror, disgust, crying. Everything was either damn funny or emotionally moving, it's a delight for the readers. I loved the character designs too, all in all, the art was amazing.
Character - 10
This is what this series did right. Since it tends to be surprisingly more of a slice of life manga, the series was based on their adorkable, cute, quirky characters I came to relate to. Just to note, the focus is on the girls, but the pacing and story is so well done you begin to love and understand every one of them. Even Akemi Mikan, the evil queen of the newspaper club, even Shishido Shiho the pervert. To me it felt that the characters weren't just there to forward the plot, no, they were there to express all of their emotions, their hidden feelings they were afraid of showing. Ultimately it's a story about how they grow and develop whilst facing some of the most ridiculous incidents. None of the secondary characters was left plain, the story gave each of them the spotlight.
Enjoyment - 10
I laughed so hard, I sobbed so hard, I just loved it so much
Overall - 10
If you're looking for something unique and you are not put off by some weirdness there and the... EVERYWHERE, please give this a try. You might shed tears, be it from laughter or emotion.

Okay.. it was bad. I'm sorry but it was really bad. I read it just for the hot guys and smut.
Story --
It had the potential to be interesting, it had a good start and from there various things happened. The conflicts, as predictable as they were, could have been more engaging, could have been developed more! Everything but everything was solved so easily. I just couldn't take it seriously.
Art--
Pretty guys, pretty girls. Sometimes disproportionate body parts?
Character--
No character was developed enough. The main girl, sorry to say this, but she seemed overly stupid, naive, always getting in trouble and getting saved
...
by some man. And the most of these guys end up falling for her. I don't understand why? Words like love are taken so lightly and many of the actions of these characters clearly do not prove it.
Enjoyment--
I read it in like 2 days, I don't know why I read it. I guess it was something around a comical read and a guilty pleasure?
Overall--
If you want to see romance with a hot tengu, read Black Bird better. Really. I don't encourage anyone to read this, unless they are really bored.

If you like 'princess and bodyguard' type romances, this series might be what you're looking next for. In my case, that was what hooked me in. But what got me turning pages from start to finish was the combination of cute romance, lightheartedness, yakuza comedy and BL subtle jokes. Not the best, not the worst, an overall enjoyable manga.
Story --
As you've probably read from the synopsis, the main character, Wakamura Sachie is taken in by her grandfather after the death of her mother. There she finds out that her grandpa is actually the boss of a yakuza clan.
Igarashi Rakuto, a boy around
...
her age, is assigned to be her caretaker. From there the plot follows the development of their relationship. How they overcome their troubles, their insecurities, how they build up confidence and get closer to each other. It was quite the sweet, lighthearted story. Here I might add though, too lighthearted? Some challenges were overcome way too easily or so it seemed to me?
Art--
While the art is fairly good, I just couldn't help but notice some problems with how the author draws the eyes of some characters.
Character--
I liked all the characters, they were relatable, they had a message to tell. The ones standing out the most are, of course, the main character and her love interest. I was surprised to see that the girl's personality was actually befitting of her position of an yakuza princess. Strong willed and kind, she got the admiration and acceptance of everyone in her clan. She also is cutely naive and clumsy sometimes, but I felt this part was to be expected of a 15 year old. As for Rakuto, I found his character to be quite realistic as well: fitting the image of a dream caretaker, but also having realistic flaws and weaknesses. The two make a great pair and the approach to love was also fresh and clear of angst and unneeded drama.
Enjoyment--
It was funny, adorable, all in all an enjoyable and easy read.
Overall--
While I don't feel that it's a must read, it's not a waste of time either. It's a nice manga to brighten your day and I recommend it to all who like comedy, yakuza themes and shoujo manga in general.

First of all, I love both the anime and the manga but I have to say I consider the anime better.
Story 9:
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is a special manga, as it has a lot of meaning and pure feelings behind it. The love described is an ideal love. It is adorable and capitvating, just like the plot itself.
Art 10:
The art is beautiful, expressing perfectly the emotions of the characters, which are moving.
Characters 9:
The main character, Kusakabe Maron, has a complex personality. Throughout her adventures, she becomes a model for the reader, due to her courage and pure heart. Maron herself teaches the reader a
...
lesson of life, of how to think and act in order to protect the ones important to you. I read in a book that in order to be able to become virtuous, you must follow someone's example. She is realistic, she is not perfect and that's what makes her an ideal character.
Why didn't I give a ten at the characters section? Well, despite Maron being very well portrayed, I was a bit disappointed with the other characters (except Chiaki).
In some cases, they suddenly change their attitude, so it doesn't seem that realistic. Also, in order to keep the optimistic feeling, it doesn't completely show their reactions, which in my opinion should express more sadness.
Enjoyment 10:
The entire manga gives an unique feeling of optimism and happiness. It is heartwarming, combining serious scenes with comic ones harmoniously.
Overall: 9
Okay, it got me laughing, but in some cases comedy wasn't put in the right place.
(It's my opinion, especially because I'm not fond of comedy)
However, I believe everyone needs such a story from time to time, in order to give them some more courage and optimism.
If you are looking for a lighthearted story with cute romance and optimism, I suggest you to read the manga. And, if you want something deeper, with intense feelings and "darker" characters, the anime is for you. Don't worry if you think you miss some details which the anime skips. You can always read the manga (or the last chapters) if you really wish yo know everything about it.

First of all, I have to tell that I'm not a fan of yuri or shoujo ai. This is the first manga of this genre that I have ever read, and I don't regret doing it.
The main disadvantage of this manga, unfortunately, was the art. Although, it seems normal since it was published in 1972.
To be short: What I liked the most at this manga were the feelings (Sadness, anger, love, fear). The most interesting character is Maya, whose personality I liked and whose way of thinking I admired.
The psychological part of the manga is well done. The characters are thinking about life itself,
...
about their purpose, about happiness, about death.
I usually don't agree with revenge but I understand the strong feeling of hatred which makes revenge the purpose of living.
The manga also has a dark atmosphere to it, which I enjoyed. The drama may be a bit exaggerated but I like these stories where the emotions are too strong.
Overall this manga isn't a must read but it was enjoyable to me and it is a good example of a psychological about revenge, sadness and love.
