Psychologically messed up main characters who have sex for no reason than to give oneself validity and to feel as if they are alive, while denying the deeper feelings they may harbor for the ones they use.

Similar premises of being teleported to another fantasy world (due to death (?)), overly self conscious 4th-wall breaking main characters, and just pleasures to watch :)

The character personality frameworks and interactions are nearly the same. Both for older audiences. Both have a very nice, pristine, slice of life style to them whilst being set in the past. If you want to watch something peaceful that evokes emotion (that comes in many forms), these are the shows for you.

both manga have to do with an mc who doesn't have anything super interesting to them, and are kind of plain, but then are taken away by a beautiful girl who is perfect at her craft, wishing to become a pro. and because of said girls, the mc's are inspired and get into the craft themselves, also becoming aspiring pros. both mc's are natural and have lots of raw potential, but need to hone it, and that is what makes both manga so good!

This is a character based recommendation. The main characters: Tatara of BeY and Deku of BNHA are nearly exactly the same: - both freak out when forced to think about something when in a relaxed environment, nervous in general - however, they are geniuses at analyzing and learning from others - both have puffy hair - both are freaks at what they do when they need to do their thing (deku's fighting, tatara's dancing) on a bigger stage - unlimited potential It's highly entertaining watching these two be main characters and be driving forces for their environments. They make the people around them that much more interesting.

This has been said before but I couldn't help but feel this so very blatantly as I read it, so I agree: this is a character based recommendation: the protags are nearly the same with separate environments. A lot of it is about finding oneself through one's social group, namely the main female leads. The male leads, on the other hand, are catalysts and just as much must find themselves through their own means (and the subtle help of the female leads)

Both have scenarios where a relatively geeky person (or so it'd seem) from our world suddenly has to deal with another fantasy world. Both main characters are OP. The series each contain a lot less violence and a lot more to do with politics than one would expect. Both are worth watching for people who wish to be whisked away to a world that combines two and imagining what would happen to us if we were there!

Romance. Friendship. Youth. Great personalities with realistic expectations. A love triangle that will have you cease to exist. Really, if you like the less-occurring heartwrenching aspects of Oregairu, you'll like White Album 2. If you like the beautiful character development and intercharacter relations in WA2, you'll like Oregairu. It can be argued that I'm overhyping both series, but this is my surface level recommendation and they really should be put together hand in hand in some aspects.

(Oo I actually wanted to be first to this one; I tried a while back...) But wow, this really is all about comedy, world building, and reasonable characters. The fact of the matter is we have two MC who are heroes down to their very souls but don't acknowledge it with their exterior mannerisms. The irony behind their characters and the world around them are similar and wonderfully uncanny than what we usually see. Gintama is very much amidst the top of the anime industry, and OPM will soon join it.

Both share extremely high levels of bromance, beware! But no, really. They're both high quality watches. Both are typically realistic and show the beauty of failure and getting back up through the aid of others. Both are motivational and evoke MUCH emotion. To be honest, they're just great shounen and you must watch them if you haven't.

Mature, bloody, and beautiful. Main characters with troubled childhoods and high proficiency in killing. In doing so, they are stuck in the constant chain of life and death and seemingly cannot escape it. Both manga cover very philosophical themes if you read them not passively.

A pair of boys with dreams and relatively thorough representations of failure and miscommunication. They both also show interpersonal problems that can show up pretty much anywhere. But at the end of the day, they're about youth and aspirations and can be relatively inspirational if seen at a low point in one's life.

Stories where the MC actually has a distinctive bond between each of the female characters he is in a harem with. The female characters are all perfect on the surface, but are flawed beneath what we initially see. The storytelling allows for proper development of the characters, exposing the flaws of each character beautifully. Basically, harems done right.

This is a character-based recommendation. The main male leads of both series are both highly similar; they are extremely smart and will do anything to protect their little sisters. Every move they make is essentially planned a bunch of steps ahead of anyone else around them. So yeah, basically, they're both basically badass-as-hell thinkers and it's super entertaining to watch them out-think their opponents.
