I wasn't a fan of action type series. But, Kekkai Sensen caught my attention.
At first, I was listening to soundtracks of the show without any kind of knowledge about the show. Hello, world and Sugar Song to Bitter Step were two of my favorites up to this very moment and after watching the series, it made me realize that the use of the soundtracks are superb and really catches up to the mood of the scene. The New York vibe, the feels type, etc.
Story of Kekkai Sensen is pretty common. You have your main character who is an average human with a different kind of
...
power that can help a certain team. He isn't the most powerful dude but can he is a game-changer. The mix of comedy and drama is a check.
The art style is in sync with the sound. Pretty detailed style and I like flashy colors (lel). This is actually the first anime where I watched from the beginning to the end just because of the animations used (especially the ending, that dance was pretty amazing).
Characters. Leo is a rare type MC. Pretty humble dude with an amazing power. He's one of my favorite characters of the Spring season (8man). Original anime characters weren't actually a big hit to a lot of people, but White and Black may be the firsts. The addition of both characters were pretty good to be honest.
As for enjoyment, I loved the series as a whole. It's a pretty cool anime and what catches your attention would be the sound and the characters. And, that's it for my review.

This is the first manga I read which hasn't been turned to an anime adaptation. And, here's my thoughts about the said manga.
Orange is a really good manga. Of course, people feel regret on their actions and the characters of the manga had this opportunity to change the future because of a letter given to them by their "future" selves. It isn't your typical romance-shoujo manga, it's actually comparable to Clannad with a twist of Golden Time and Mirai Nikki. Here's why:
The story is about Naho Takamiya who received a letter that actually depicts the future, and what the letter said was true. All the
...
events that happened were spot on, date and time and the sender will tell her to do this choice in order to "save" her love interest, Kakeru Naruse. Now, the following that happened on the story were a mix of feels and plot twists, and it's been an amazing ride. You'll probably understand how they'll feel on saving someone from the past. (I'm now hoping a time machine is made and it will make me want to go back to the past and change my mistakes. LOL)
Art style was amazing. Pretty detailed, especially with the handwriting of the letter. There's emotion on every aspect and instead of making me review for the exams, it made me read the first chapter until the 21st chapter. HAHAHA. Kidding aside, I liked the art of the manga, the designs are pleasing to my eyes, unlike other manga series I've read.
Characters - It's tough to see the girl you like hang out with your friend. You have a character who suffered a lot of hardships ever since the first day of school and attempts to commit suicide. And, students that regret everything that happened and wish for a better future, especially Naho. Fill the characters and see for yourself how you'll feel. Every character on the story is relatable.
I LOVED THE SERIES. Period. I've been searching for manga and I'm happy that I found this series. Last chapter will be released on August 25th (that's what I heard) and I'm excited to see how the series will end. (If ever an anime adaptation will be made, I hope this ends up as one of the best animes made.)

I liked the first season, and I somewhat became disappointed at the 2nd.
The second season was full of high expectations after a successful 1st season, with a lot of anime fans arguing with who the promised girl is, who opens the locket, what team or girl or waifu they represent. It became a fan-seasoned service, and the plot was messed up.
No plot is present except SOME episodes. If you read the manga, you'll probably think "what happened with the second season?!" or something like that. The chapters of the manga are scattered in different episodes. Rally Go Round is one of the best opening
...
themes I've heard so far, and well, other than that, nothing changed in the series.
Although some are disappointed, I enjoyed it, mainly because I'm an avid reader of the manga series. The main topic of the whole series did not play a huge part at the season (the locket and who the promised girl is)... well in some episodes, the locket made an appearance.
To summarize, nothing improved in this season, except the opening theme. I hope the anime bounces back in season 3 since there'll be a lot that will be tackled (a new character, new arcs, and well, an improved storyline).

Rokujouma no Shinraykusha!? is not any ordinary harem anime I've seen. For the first time, there wasn't a single character that I would find annoying, and well, you'll get some laughs with this anime. There are times that you would not get the storyline, and I didn't get the ending that much but every episode, you'll get to see why the anime is turning into a harem-type anime.
The characters are the standouts of the anime. You have your main character, Koutaro, who bought a cheap apartment then meets girls who are trying to get the apartment for their own needs. The girls are supernatural:
...
a ghost, a magician, a descendant of the earth people, and aliens. Well, you don't normally see those kind of characters mixed in a kind of harem anime, but it clicked.
Art is pretty nice. I just don't get it why they need to cover the eyes and nose of the side characters. It's pretty disturbing for me. But, then again, since they need to focus on the main c's, who cares about that thing then. Storyline, you get to see a glimpse of the girls of the story, so that's pretty good. But, 12 episodes isn't enough in this anime, there are a lot of parts that I need to know. So hopefully, we get to see this in the next season if there would be. (That cliffhanger in the ending though.)
I enjoyed the series, pretty good harem anime, VAs are pretty good, and well, improvement will be seen on the next season. If you haven't watch this series, you probably should. Get some laughs if you want to.

A very short review.
If you're into the plot and storyline, DON'T WATCH THIS. If you're into hot chicks, then watch this (specifically Episode 5). IS 2 is just a continuation of the first season, with no improvement, however with new characters. Amazing VAs in the series, but I didn't like the plot. I enjoyed it thanks to Charlotte Dunois and Tatenashi Sarashiki. Hopefully, season 3 would mark a big improvement to the series, and let's just hope Ichika isn't that dense anymore (it probably wouldn't happen, read the light novels/manga/wiki). GG.

(Pretty long review, I guess.)
A twisted Romeo and Juliet story with the touches of harem and comedy, Nisekoi surprisingly is one of the best harem series I've seen. Whether you aren't a fan of harem romcom series or not, you'll definitely enjoy this series.
The main character thinks that his crush is the one that will unlock the locket from 10 years ago. However, after some unexpected twists and turns, 2 more ladies come in the scene making it more complicated. The story is amazing and every episode wasn't a miss. The last two episodes are pretty much the best episodes of the series and the
...
ending was an amazing touch itself, especially the talk between Raku and Chitoge, describing the Romeo and Juliet play to their false love.
The openings and endings are superb for me. Chitoge and Onodera's endings and the first opening theme are really catchy, that I end up listening to it about 3-4 times a day. Instrumentals also add a nice feel to the scene, prompting you to react to the scene, whether it's comedic or romantic.
The characters are the standout of the series and the voice actors seemingly made the scenes to life. Kana Hanazawa's voice of Onodera makes her the sweet and innocent character everybody in the social media talks about. "If girls wanted a real-life Usui Takumi, then guys want a real-life Kosaki Onodera."
Chitoge Kirisaki is the energetic heroine of the series and probably will end up with the main character. (We know a wrong key wouldn't turn if it's put in the wrong lock and seeing it, the key was accidentally broken. That's a hint given to us already.)
Raku Ichijou is different from the other harem MCs. He wanted to have a normal life and ending up with his crush but after a surprising turn of events, he became a harem MC.
Tachibana and Tsugumi's roles will improve probably in the next season, and Ruri and Shuu are looking like the next big couple everybody's talking about.
Shuu depicts the happy-go-lucky, intelligent and perverted bestfriend. He's one of the best characters I've seen aside from Onodera and learning the voice actor, no wonder why he's amazing (Yuki Kaji, who voiced Issei in High School DxD is his VA). He's pretty observant at everything he sees and every reaction he makes are priceless and funny.
I really enjoyed the series and I'm looking forward to the next season and the season after that. There wasn't one episode that I didn't watch and I watch the whole series again and again. In short, I'll watch the whole series until its end.
You'll be asking where the art is in this review. The art is pretty simple and something you've seen in any kind of anime. However, art is just 10% of what makes up a good anime, so there's no need to explain about it. I just care about the story, character and enjoyment of it.
Overall, Nisekoi adds a different feel to the harem genre yet it is surprisingly amazing. You have a son of a Yakuza leader, daughter of a gang boss, and daughter of a police commissioner as the characters, and that's something you don't see very often. Most harem series are based of just students and something magical. Yet, the scenes, adding with the character's VAs and the instrumental within those scenes makes Nisekoi an amazing series to watch.
You'll be watching this season.. and the next season (which is out now, by the way.)... and the next season.. and the season after that.

Well, this is my first review. So.. uh.. here goes.
I've watched the first season and the second season today. (Well, I became addicted with the series actually.) Haganai NEXT stands as the improvement of the first season, but the ending of the season wasn't really what I had in mind... and pretty much, for those who watched this.
The storyline was going so well for me, and I hate it when the episodes I watch buffer. However, the thing that stood out was the ending. Like I said, it wasn't the best ending. Abrupt, so I'm expecting a third season right around the corner. I
...
could've given a 9 to the story, but the ending was a downer. Positively, a harem romantic comedy where the main character is dense. That isn't new in anime. But, he changed at the end. He ain't the Taka everyone once knew, and I liked it.
The characters were the standouts of the this season. At the first season, I haven't seen the potential of the characters. This season, we see the evolution of the Good Neighbors Club. The bond is stronger, and a harem formed in this season. Last season, it was more of just Sena and Sora. Yukimura, from the maid to being a butler (guess the reference), and Rika finally brings Taka to his senses (no more dense MC). The standouts of this season were Rika and Sena.
I enjoyed the series. I stopped watching the first season because I found another anime that stood out (Nisekoi). After watching, I tried other anime such as Mayo Chiki, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, and other kinds of Romantic Comedic anime. I watched the first episode of the first season, and after about 10 hours, I finished watching both seasons. I hate it when the video buffers and there were laughs, especially during their amusement park ride. There were happy and sad moments, but it never failed to enjoy me.
Overall, I liked it. Like the first season, the anime had an abrupt ending. Haganai Next is the improvement and evolution of not only the characters but the series as well. Since it ended that way, hopefully, we see the 3rd season. A lot of questions are already on my mind regarding what will happen with the club and I'm looking forward to the day the next season will be released. I hope the anime improves more, and so far, it has been one of the best harem series I've seen. That's a plus.
