As a Persona 5 fan I enjoyed both episodes and the public for this episodes are the fans anyway, so that's fine, right? No!
The first episodes of this specials covers the relationship between Joker and Ryuji, a very superficial one where one guys speaks and praises someone who sighs a lot and only says a few words. The anime staff really tried to make people like Akechi, and it's expected since the Royal expansion was added later and they really followed it up. Bit as it stans in the anime adaptation, is just part of the most boring ass moments in an already boring show.
...
But this episode is the good one.
The second episode is an insult to the game and an insult to the viewers. The story in both the game and the anime tried to be ground-breaking by rebelling against things damaging our current society, so what did this special episode did? Embrace those awful things by giving us a POV segment where the viewer can fantasize about having the main girls as girlfriends. This isn't even justified at all since the protagonist never dates someone in the regular anime. It's just there for the sake of terrible fanservice. I cannot express enough my dislike for this kind of thing.
But wait, at the beggining I wrote that I "enjoyed" both episodes of the special. Why is that? Because I enjoyed it with friends, we laughed at how bad this was. But jokes aside, this trash should not be watched or bought.

This is an old title but I've just recently watched and I wanted to write something. This movie is based on the cult game Persona 3, and as such follows the event of the game.
This first movie follows the first "arc" of the game, until a certain rescue happens. First thing you notice when the movie begins is the art, it's definitely movie quality and still holds up greatly in 2021, it's clear that a lot of money was put into it. Action scenes are really good looking but most of the time you'll only see people walking or talking, which is expected but dissappointing
...
notheless.
The story is pretty average, you have typical teenagers with super powers that go to school by day and fight to protect the world at night, more emphasis could be put in how they balance their daily life with the task of saving the world, but nothing of that sort happens here. They don't have any trouble at all managing both lifes.
The characters are below average, they are still not developed at all in this movie and the protagonist only has two sides, being silent or rude and sarcastic. The supporting cast is even worst as they only follow typical anime cliches, there's the funny dumb guy, there's the girl, there's the smart rich girl, there's the cool but also dumb guy and the shy girl.
The music used in the movie is pretty mediocre, the game had good tracks but they don't fit well in a movie. The beggining was specially cringe-inducing as the song "Burn my dread" performed while the protagonist was on a train doing nothing.
Overall, I enjoyed this movie. As a fan of the game I was already prepared for something mediocre, but fun, and as many movies based on videogames, there's no reason to watch this if you don't know the source material. As a standalone film is incomplete and average at best.

Writing a long review for this show is pointless, we all knew it was gonna be another excuse for milking the franchise until the eventual Persona 6.
Plot - 3/10
Same plot as the game but more rushed, while the game it's fun by it's own the plot was always flawed, having posser characters and teenagers outmarsting light novel villains is not a good point. The traitor twist is even more evident because the show decided to put Akechi in almost every episode doing worthless things, Adachi never suffered from this (although he was a weak character too).
Art 3/10
Many characters change sizes, do stupid faces in
...
serious situations and the animation as whole is slow and boring.
Characters - 3/10
Same as the game again, your allies just exist to suck your dick after you solve their problems. In the game the only good one was an old politician that never requests your help, he was skipped here so whatever. The villains are evil rapists that torture innocent people just because, one dimensional trash, the last one that comes out of nowhere is more of a concept than a character, it's based on the world of the game and that world has no meaning so... you know.
Sound - 5/10
Re-uses many tracks from the game, it's lazy as hell but at least the original OST was good. The first OP and ED were decent too.
Enjoyment 6/10
This part of the review is also pointless but that's how MAL works. I watched this with friends and we laugh at how awful the show was. So yeah, I enjoyed it.
Overall, don't waste your time on this garbage and if you wanna know the plot just play the game, It has writing problems too but it's damn fun.

Honestly, i don't know why there are some many 7s or even 8s. This OVA is just one adaptation of one of the sidequest you can do in the game source (and a uninteresting one in my opinion). As a stand alone product it fails because you need to have played to game to understand it and as content for the players it's pretty boring because it focus too much on irrelevant characters and tries too hard to make the heroes looks cool without them doing anything remarkable until the only (and final) battle. By the way, the ending doesn't make any sense at all,
...
what was the point of that scene? Nothing, just a crazy reference out of nowhere.
The animation is good (the baton pass is probably the highlight), nothing more than a few fails here and there but it's good overall. The music is hard to tell, it fits but at the same time it's weird to see the music from a game in an animation. The new characteres are boring, nothing more than archetypes and the "villain" is just an edgelord. I still could find enjoyment watching this because I played the game, but that's not an excuse for the product to be so mediocre in content. If you can only make an OVA and it's for fans of the game you can adapt one of the most popular moments of the game or do a quick introduction with an original history.
Actually, i don't know why did I expect something more than mediocre from an anime based on a videogame.

As a Fire Emblem fan, I really needed to read this. Fire emblem Hasha no Tsurugi is a side story for Fire Emblem Binding Blade (a GBA game) who changes the main protagonist, from Roy, to Al.
The story follows the journey of Al, a brave 15 years old kid who gets involved in a war that will affect all the continent (not world, continent)
First, the premise of the history is a cliche, a boy with a strong sense of justice who travel with his friends and save the world-sorry, continent. Still, you shouldn't judge this for the premise, but, the development, i mean, a lot
...
(if not all) of the fire emblem games have the premise of saving the world of dark forces.
The first chapters are the adventures of Al where he meets friends and allies. Later, when he meets Roy (star of the original story) the story takes the direction of the original story of the game, with differences by focusing the story on Al and giving more background to his past. Something that i like, is the relation between characters (Important in the games) the history sometimes take a break, make some jokes and play with the characters.
So, I give the story a 6/10. My biggest problem is the rhythm of the story, sometimes it feels slow, but in other parts all goes too quickly (especially at the end).
Writing about the art, well, it's prety good, and some pages looks like some kind of wallpaper, but, it's a bit generic. There were a few moments when i could not differentiate between certain characters. So, i give the art a 7/10.
Then, characters, you will probably like them... mayority. Almost everyone have a background history with some chapters to fill it. The characters from the original game don't have anything, they are just there... So, i give characters a 7/10. I forgive the problems with the original game characters because you can see their stories on the game. But, some original Hasha no Tsurugi characters are no very well used.
Finally, enjoyment, this is personal. A big 8/10 i really like the new characters, the appearance of the original game characters, the "record" at the end (Typical of the series) and more.
So, in overall, i give this manga a 7/10.

I was interested with this "spin off-what if" but, i just don´t like. In the Suzumiya Haruhi original serie, things were changing and have a little drama (a lot in the movie) but here... the world is like a rainbow where nothing crucial happens. From the start at the end of the anime. Later, in episode 11, i thought that the history was just starting, and I really was excited, then everything just happen with a boring "drama" if i can call it like that (excepting the love confession). Finally, in episode 16 everythings just... nah, restart button and nothing happen.
About characters... they were like
...
in the original excepting Yuki, who now was more social, changes books for videogames, was naive and some moe. Very different from the movie.
Finally, i think this is a 4/10, not more, not less.

When you watch this, you will probably feel dissastisfied. I´m no trying to say that "this is bullshit" no, this is good in a lot of ways, the OST is cool, the plot is the same as the prequel-game (good) and the animation is done by Madhouse (should i say more?).
My problem with the OVA is the duration of this, the 25 minutes are very enjoyable, but, when this ends, i feel like "is this all?" this should be more long. Anyways, i think they are just 25 minutes because this OVA encourages you to play the game (or buy it).
Oh, and I must
...
admit, this OVA can be considered "fan service". Does not add anything to the plot we've had in both games, is more, anyone who has not played not possibly understand anything (although not think anyone who has not played the games, see this).
Finally, I think this is a 7/10 or 6.8/10. There are so many thing that the fans will love, the destruction of Nibelheim´s destruction, the fight with Sephiroth, the final scene with the "shot end". Still, like I wrote before, don't add nothing to the plot and is pretty short.
