The story follows two first year high-school students as their competitive personalities bring them closer trough various comical (and more or less fortunate) events.
What I like the most about this work are the characters. Our main protagonists are likeable, have good chemistry and, some exaggerations aside, their behavior is realistic. For example, their memories don't seem to reset every chapter and they aren't clueless (ahem). There aren't a lot of supporting characters and we don't get to see things from their perspective very often - which is not a bad thing for this kind of story, as it doesn't feel too dragged-out.

When my friend sent me a link to this manga, I honestly thought that it was a bad joke. Let's not even talk about the synopsis, just look at the other reviews - they must be trolling, right?

Now repeat this over and over again with different characters and minor variations and you can see how it ... Jul 4, 2020

I will get straight to the point - this manga really insults the readers' intelligence.
First of all, the plot is very predictable. You can figure it out by just reading the first chapter. There are several "plot twists", however none of them really will surprise you. The story is filled with painfully obvious clichés and there are no small twists that would make it seem even slightly original. But those weren't the main problems for me since there are a lot of great mangas who have done similar things - what made me lose all my remaining faith were the shallow characters and the pretentious narrative.
