Review beased on personal opinions and taste:
The story starts out like in every "ranomly died and got reincarnated as a super powerful being in a fantasy world" anime. A protagonist who somehow is still a virgin at the same age that people in the middle ages died of old age, and the fact that information is given out just at the start of these types of stories just makes me think that the type of people who enjoy this crap can relate to a 40 year old -insert office job here- who's still a virgin because he's too shy to talk to girls.
Meanwhile,
...
we have main characters like guts who was literally born from the corpse of his dead mother who was lynched by hanging, adopted and trained by mercenaries to kill and eventually cursed to attract demons every night, which is not only a threat to his life, but a curse at forever solitude. But hell, a 40 year old virgin otaku is a far better choice to throw in an unforgiving world filled with enemies powerful enough to rival gods. And what would a 40 year old otaku do in such a world you ask? Defeat every single enemy in a flash and then persuade them to join his party and serve him with unrivaled loyalty with such charismatic lines such as "hey wanna join my party?", the said enemies, simply stunted by such advanced levels of such persuasive techniques can only freeze in place and mutter "yeah ok".
The plot is so so flawed, the characters are recycled on the outside and empty husk with no personality on the inside, literally nobody in this series has a "goal" nobody has a "purpose", the art is sloppy, I've seen hentai with better fight scenes than this, and the fact that people rated this as an "8" overall genuinely offends me.

Boy, I wish Goblin Slayer would show up to end this travesty.
MC is from a world where people have super powers or something, and his power is being able to obtain other powers/abilities by eating body parts from other beings with powers. He is stabbed by a crazy bitch and dies. He then wakes up as a baby goblin, the next day he grows up to a pre-teen goblin and goes out to the woods to hunt, he befriends a dumb goblin (most of them are dumb but this one is especially dumb) and they form a team to hunt unicorn rabbits, the MC
...
is the brains, the dumb goblin is the muscle, they take down rabbit after rabbit, they are unsopable, boy do they shine on the battlefield. The MC fashion a prison shiv out of rabbit horn, attains some useless skills from eating the rabbits and then befriends a female goblina who is basically his biggest fan, who'd have guessed the first female lead is going to be all over the mc? They keep killing, getting abilities, fashioning better weapons and armors, they evolve into hobgoblins, and that's where the manga gets it's success from, monster evolution (rip off pokemon much?).
And that's literally all there is to it, they just keep killing and evolving and eating and getting better weapons till they are literally gods. Oh there's also goblin rape, but the girls eventually like it because the MC is a literal god, so it's ok.

Review based on personal opinions and taste:
Spoilers ahead :)
The lead characters got injuried? No problem, just hop on in butterly estate and get all your injuries healed up by skipping the story, what happened in the time we skipped? oh...well the leads were just asleep you see, and the demons being the good guys they are, they didn't do anything while that happened, they respected their privacy and planned their attacks for when they're all healed up and ready to battle, i mean sure the boss demon wants them dead but why all the rush, jeez...anyway, now that they've woken up why not get stronger
...
by playing tag with the butterly estate triplet slaves? :D suddenly the blood shedding plot turns into bonding with the ladies, hurray.
Anyway, now we gotta go the the next bad guy, bad guy does bad things, reader mad, lead character getting beat up, reader in suspense, invoke the secret power within you, reader happy, flashback back to when bad guy was good guy, now reader sad, hop on in butterly estate for that sweet heals, train with the triplets, next to the other bad guy, rinse and repeat.
5/10, didn't hate it but didn't love it. I'm sure there's something much better to sink time in than this.

Review based on personal opinion and taste:
I had high hopes for Fire Force, having the same creator as Soul Eater. Soul Eater had some of the best characters around, altho silly overall, I remember staying up way past bedtime when I was 12 to watch it when it came up on TV. Every character felt so alive and unique, in a silly way, but Fire Force fails to deliver the same quality of characters, they chose cliche, overused achetypes of characters and modified them a little bit to appeal to the public, and boy did they fail. They also opted for a very serious plot,
...
death by fire, the main character having his beloved family slaughtered and blamed for the crime, his goal is to find the killer and prove his innocence, not a unique plot, but still, a mature plot and when you combine it with childish characters, they just don't go well together.
The animation is pretty good, I enjoyed the fight scenes a lot, but besides that, it was a pain to sit through, had to drop it after 10 episodes, sorry. Hopefully Atsushi Ōkubo will come to his senses.
