Nothing revolutionary but unexpectedly realistic. The turn of the story about Poseidon's motivations was unexpected for a story from this long ago, yet it made sense. The harsh nature of the cities, scams, and crime and poverty going hand in hand was very unexpected themes for this story but it was done very well imo. The story never relayed gifts for the characters for no reason but to let people not pity them, which I appreciated.
Also, the imouto loli character won over 2 fully grown(ish) mature women. Seems like incest is wincest, even if you're in the 1950s. Bittersweet ending. Overall an enjoyable read to

First time watching something of a getaway-harem anime, and I'm glad that Nisekoi ended up being that anime for me personally.
Enjoyed much of it, manga makes more sense but anime is more "fun", classic character tropes and so on. I'd say much wasted potential for story on how it could've went but that's a personal opinion than an objective statement. I don't think I'll ever forget Mariko and Tsh-Tach-It's something with a T but she's the main girl's bodyguard but she and the girl who choose Raku's happiness over her own (Mariko duh) are both best girls. Tachibana the character I'll remember even if Tachibana the name ...

Great story. Really liked the anime; visuals and sound quality alongside an excellent animation team and cast make the anime really beautiful. Talented voice actors.
Main character in the story isn't perfect according to twitter, like all of the very excellent individuals on that platform are, similarly the story is set in another universe with other morals which creates tension between people who want to white knight and people who want to enjoy it's internal logic and interactions. Personally, I watch a story to enjoy it's elements and not to puck every inconvenience like an arse. Choose your way of reading it yourself before you read any ... |
