#Tsugumomo Review
I got into the manga thanks to watching the anime, I finished it all in like 4 days and when I saw that after the Season 2 and Ova there wasn’t a continuation I started tweaking hard, so I did what a normal sane person would do and I started Reading the manga, so, I’m going to do my first ever review on this page just because this manga left me bamboozled, so, for starters. (probably major spoilers ahead)
Art 9/10
The art in this manga atleast for my liking is incredible, the fights and the anatomy on the female bodys is simply amazing to
...
a point where I fear the dedication of the Author at some points, the ecchi is TOO excesive, but the dedication he puts on every single detail on the female body and the little details he puts on every fight, making every single technique make sense in a human sense, It is wonderful.
Story 7/10
At first It was a very light and typical history of a boy born with great potential, not knowing this potential he some day gets revealed that he Is a prodigy and now has to fight creatures (amasogi) using his new potential love interest as a literal weapon, typical student with powers saves the world again Animanga, with a “light” touch of ecchi but at first all for the laughs, the ecchi was “justified” as a joking method, but as the series goes on It became much more tan a “joking” method and started become a literal part of the series, It becomes a Hentai with Lolicon/Shotacon/”Incest” almost, the fights in the last arc are AMAZING.
the excessive Ecchi with the excuse of “recharging power” is pretty anti-climatic, so It starts from a full of potential boy fighting creatures to save the day with his friends to an overly dense fighting story of how he has TOO much damn problems, forcing him to become stronger in order to fullfill his role on the final battle, so, if we take in-count the character development of some characters, a little to none practically, the story focuses to much on the ecchi and on the protagonist getting better at fighting with practically rubbing himself with girls, naked, to give power and learn more.
There are some important deaths on the manga that actually made me sad, but some of them were too quick, like, they died and It ends at that, no background, no “Oh no, what are we going to do” for some deaths I think this is good, because it makes us understand that the protagonist is almost used to this and won’t budge at a death, even tho he feels furious from this, also making us believe in a character development that goes into the trash in the next 3 panels from again excessive ecchi, to the point that at some moment I had to LITERALLY punch myself through it.
Characters 8/10 (MAJOR SPOILERS)
Ehhhh, the characters on the series, like Kiriha, Kazuya (the protagonist) Sunao, etc etc.. are not that bad, I think they do not have a superior character development, I like how Sunao evolved into really acknowledging that Kotetsu really was a companion and not just a tool, but I think this development was too quick.
I also don’t like how the main cast at the start of the series were completly shoved aside and how Kiriha passed from the only one on Kazuya’s arsenal, the only Tsukumogami in his eyes to being one of the 5 Tsugumomos on Kazuya’s arsenal, although Kiriha stays as the main one.
I really liked the characters desings and personalities, specially Kiriha, Shinobu and Shirane, although my all time favorite is without a second to doubt, Oriobana Ouhi (come back please ☹).
I think the variety of characters Is what takes the cherry on this part, there are so much characters and they are so different from each other that It makes you wonder what type of character will come next, making you hate some, and absolutely love some, the thing that they all share is their unnecesary flaming will of m*sturb*ting or simply wanting to “sleep” with Kazuya.
Enjoyment 10/10
I know I’ve been criticizing it harshly, but this my god how much I’ve enjoyed this manga, now that I’ve catched up with the manga and I now have to wait for the Author to post more and the teams to translate it, I feel empty, I’mma take the words of other reviewer and say, It’s like I was constantly using a drug and now that drug doesn’t exist anymore, I feel like I can’t live without it, I feel empty, this is the second time a manga left me wanting more and more to the point of feeling a void in my heart, and Its a sensation that hurts but at the same time feels good.
This manga gave me chills multiple times, the fights are just glorious, the fights alone rivalize with the best of the best truly, I’ve been sleeping a 3-4 am everyday just to read the manga, I could not believe how addicting It was, I loved the tournament arc, and how well written the abilities and ultimates are, just, a perverted master mind made his perverted masterpiece.
Overall 9/10
I want more, I need more, one of the best I’ve seen truly, would recommend watching it with your family.
(Sorry for my english, It’s not my native language and I tried to not use the translator too much)

Personally, for the time of release, great anime, by standarts of today, meh, but nostalgia kicks in like a truck man...
The way of how the Anime evolves progressively into more of focusing into the man than the actual protagonist makes it feel like maybe the focus isn't very clear, but me personally, I love this anime. When I watched for the first time, for me this was a Masterpiece, by now I feel like i've watched 300 of those type of animes, I think that in some chapters things go extra fast, and in others things go extra slow, the pacing is pretty normal, what I ... |
