OK, let's go. I know saying "it's a gyaru" is stupid. But the similarities are enormous. We have a gyary who is blonde and super nice who likes the protagonist and makes lots of teasing and cute jokes. But the protagonist is the problem, the protagonist of "Hokkaido gals are the best!" is a flat, boring guy. Gojo Wakana is a sweet boy, with incredible dreams and deserves romance. Hokkaido girls would live much better if they dated each other. So if you saw "Hokkaido gals are the best!" watch "Dress-up Darling" because it will be much better.
