I really enjoyed this manga. I liked the progression of two characters who weren't lgbt realising they liked each other and the struggles that came along with that and also with dating a same sex partner. It was also refreshing to read a manga that felt like a shoujo but was shounen ai. Too many boys love manga focus too much on the sexual side of things and neglect the story a bit which I often get tired of. I also liked that they put more girls into this one and actually made them central characters which is something I miss from boys love stories. ... The progression with this one was slow but it worked so well and was very heartwarming to slowly see the two MLs feelings grow. The art style is also so cute. I love the expressions all of the characters have.

Now this is why I have mixed feelings. Everything was going so well until the end when they threw in the amnesia arc. I absolutely hate amnesia storylines with a passion. They are thrown into a story to add a bit of drama but never make sense and are always entirely unnecessary. It completely destroyed whatever enjoyment I had from this manga. It made me even more mad when it turned out to be fake and just a dream. Why bother to put it in in the first place? This was easily going to be one of my top BL stories I've read but not anymore. I'll give it a 9 just because everything else about this manga was great.

I'm not sure about this manga. I've read a lot of shoujo manga and am used to the usual tropes but reading this manga makes me so frustrated. The dad interrupting them every time they are intimate was funny at first but as I read more it just got really really annoying. They can't even kiss without the dad threatening to fire the ML... They can't go on dates without him attending and it's honestly just so childish from the dad and so annoying. Now there is a stupid unnecessary love rival thrown in and I'm honestly considering dropping this manga and usually I power ... through and finish it to the end even if I don't enjoy some arcs.

The reason I'm still continuing is that despite all of the handicaps, when they do have intimate moments it's really cute and sweet and their relationship is so healthy and calming rather than the usual where the guy is really perverted or often mean. I enjoy all of the carpentry references they put in and it's refreshing not to have the usual high school life romance for once. It's still set during high school but the carpentry is the main focus rather than school which I really like.

Overall I would say to read this but it isn't the usual fluffy romance like most other manga where they are intimate all the time once they are dating. The parents are involved every chapter. If you don't mind that I would say to read it.
