Tsuki Ga Kirei is an anime that left me with very mixed feelings.
As an introvert person who also struggles with social anxiety, I could relate a lot to the main characters' awkwardness, and it felt refreshing to see an anime with shy main characters, but I think the show portrayed introverts in a quite stereotipical way. Okay, they're shy, but sometimes it felt like they have nothing going on in their brain.
The two main charachters didn't have much connection, and their convo topics were incredibly boring. I just can't convince myself they're really made for each other.
The plot itself was also
...
more boring than interesting, it was supposed to show the ambition towards your hobby while finding love I think, but the whole thing just wasn't clear to me. The two people that had a crush on the main characters were made to stir up the plot a bit, but it felt repetitive and unnecessary after a while.
The thing that made me like this anime even if just a bit is probably that it's not unrealistic, not something filled with drama, just an anime that shows how first love feels like, portrayed in a heartwarming way (even though I feel like a lot of people had a way messier first love experience :l)
My main problem was probably the voice acting, I could not bear all that moaning and coughing. I also hated the animation, it felt cheap, and the characters' expressions vere pretty plain. The op/ed and the bg was okay.
In conclusion, this anime was made for a specific audience, and it's not me, and I usually don't watch romance, so maybe that's why it didn't really capture my heart, I can understand though why some people fall in love with this anime.
P.S.: Sorry for my English, it's my 3rd language.
