Tokyo Ghoul (Manga) add
Spoiler
Had a very good time with this manga. Enjoyed the art, the story, the characters, and just great stuff all around. It was very consistent too, most of the manga was strong. Even the "not-so-engaging parts" I'd say were necessary to set up the world so I get it. Now to talk ab the more specific stuff that I liked.

First off, Ken. Ken Kaneki is very interesting and I enjoyed getting to see his story develop. I still have a lot more to go but he was very compelling to read about. Watching him grapple with his inner ghoul side and the mental struggle that ...

Pluto (Manga) add
"Who killed Mont Blanc?"

The story starts off with a simple enough question, typical to every murder mystery out there. But through its twists and turns, Urosawa delivers a masterful commentary on what it really means to be human and the cyclical nature of hatred. It is only 65 chapters long but it uses its time perfectly and not a single moment is wasted. I was also impressed by how Pluto was able to deliver so many poignant and powerful moments in such a short time. Pluto is a very exciting and short read that I was delighted by, I definitively recommend it.

Pre-episode 16: It’s a good show with some great moments here and there. The lore is pretty intriguing and the characters are pretty interesting and well-made.

Ep 16-26: AAAA ITS PEAK. The intriguing lore and exciting characters from before get expanded on perfectly making for an incredibly powerful final stretch. Shinji and Asuka are both goated characters. The last episode was just a chef’s kiss—one of the most powerful messages on any show to me. The visuals just keep getting better and the ambition of the show really comes through. It’s definitely the weirdest and most artistic anime I’ve seen (not a lot but still). ...

Monster (Manga) add
Holy sh*t this manga. Before reading this, I had very high expectations considering its highly acclaimed. It did not disappoint, the mystery, and how the story brilliantly unfolded was so so good. (Not that there's a lot of competition) but definitively the best manga I've read. The story is absolutely flawless, every bit of info you get becomes something more significant later on it's amazing. The pacing was very good, not a dull moment (at least not to me). The supporting cast is PERFECT, every character is masterfully written. Probably the strongest cast I've ever come across.

Ok so, elephant in the room: Johan Liebert. ...
