Both of these animes are in the same genre, comedy and slice of life. The plots are very similar and the humour is sort of similar, both shows are about very eccentric princes and a normal, rational main character that has to deal with them. If you're looking for a similar anime i can't think of 2 that are more alike than these.

If you liked Versailles no Bara add

...then you might like Hotaru no Haka add

Both of these animes focus on the harsh realities of war and are both very tragic. Versailles no bara starts out sweet and focused on marie Antoinette but then it focuses on Oscar and the French Revolution. The moments that showed the poverty stricken characters that were forced to starve are tear jerkers. They are both portrayals of real tragedies from history.

If you liked Shoujo Kakumei Utena add

...then you might like Mawaru Penguindrum add

Both shows are from Kunihiko Ikuhara, each of them are extremely artistic with lots of symbolism that you won't understand unless you take the time to watch reviews and do a bit of research (especially with Mawaru Penguindrum). Both shows become alot more enjoyable once you understand the references and symbolism behind them and I definitely reccomend Mawaru Penguindrum to any Utena lovers out there.

The main characters have some similarities and both shows have similar themes like the style and the heroic female lead. The Rose Of Versailles gets alot darker and more serious than this show, while Revolutionary Girl Utena has a bit more of a magical girl anime feel to it.

Both are works from Ai Yazawa, Paradise Kiss is a Josei series just like Nana and it focuses on love, fashion, and life changing decisions. If you found it enjoyable and are looking for something similar give this a try.
