It’s the whole concept of starting from scratch to build your dreams that gets me. Both feature a ton of clichés, but also the individual sport team dynamics in both are just so sweet. They’re both more character-based than a lot of sports anime because they’re not really sports shounen, but they also have decent plots. Basic, a little boring, but I didn’t really tire of either because they’re fun!

It is great fun and has team dynamics that are somewhat similar to Haikyuu’s. The main parkour partnership is a bit similar to Karasuno’s famous Freak Duo, but also have a totally different relationship, so it’s interesting. The main character is super awesome and reminds me a lot of Yachi but I think she’s a bit more developed and well-rounded. It’s a comfort show and is likely to be enjoyed by fans of Haikyuu.

It is an incredibly sculpted sports shounen anime that is solely about baseball. The plethora of characters, the relationships, the plot points, and everything else revolves around baseball but it is choreographed in a way that it is engaging to all audiences. Every character is given attention and development and the antagonism is so much more complex than simply the opponent the main team is trying to beat. It’s truly beautiful.
