Shows that are the definition of "how to be an anime shounen". Both are great anime that do not change much or almost nothing of the famous formula of a shounen (powers, protagonism, the power of friendship, etc.), but that simply execute it in the right way, unlike many others that waste potential to become more mainstream. The first is more about superheroes, and the second is about demon hunters. Simple and generic concepts in theory, but very well made and fun in practice.

If there's one thing these two can do, it's comedy. I laughed so much watching the absurd stories told in each episode, one being a genially hilarious anime that tells Kazuma's adventures in an isekai with three other travelers to stop the Demon King (typical of isekai's), and the other being the story of how one of the most OP characters of all time, the psychic Saiki, wants to live a normal school life but that obviously manages to make everything less common.

Me not being a fan of sports animes, both are good works that can be gateways to other shows of the same genre, as they manage to make each one's games (volleyball and basketball) remain interesting, exciting and well thought, being worth of checking out.

One is a mecha anime, another is a fighting anime, both are great shounens. Even though they are not from the same studio, they present similarities such as animation, the development of the story (according to the world and context of each one of course), expressive characters, an extremely creative world, and without any doubt, the ridiculous level of absurdity that the two reach, especially in the end.

Two intelligent shows that will intrigue you a lot, because of their well done construction on the development of the story (for the most part) and mainly their main characters that share many similarities, both being revolutionary geniuses that change a whole society, with rivals who try everything to stop them.

Two wonderful works that perfectly fit the definition of "genre deconstruction", both being considered as shounen animes, but delivering much more than that.
