Both of the series have one of the lead characters chasing for the love of the other in "Say I love you" it is Yamato who wants Mei to admit that she loves but she is too embarrassed to say it, "Wolf girl and black prince" it is the exact opposite it is Erika that wants to hear the 3 magic words from Kyouya who is shy to say them. Both stories end with the shy leads finally admitting that they are in loves with their significant others (however it happens earlier in "Wolf girl" than in "Say I love You")

In both of these anime the MC meets a girl with which falls in love with and their meeting is by chance or influenced by someone both sides know. Also the main character has a female cest friend (Sakurasou) or childhood friend (Golden time) that falls in love with them, the female character confesses her feelings to the MC but realises that he (Banri - GT or Kouhai - Sakurasou) doesn't feel the same way towards them and helps the girl he loves get together. Generally both are heavily based on friendship and love, highly recommend watching both of them.

!!!-BEFORE READING KNOW THAT I COULD PUT MUCH MORE HERE BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SPOIL HOW BOTH OF THE STORIES ENDED-!!! Both of these anime show how one person is given great power with which came great responsibility and we see how they develop as well as what they sacrifice in order to reach their end goal. They also have in sense their close friend yet greatest enemy strike them down in order for the true meaning of their goals to come true. Both stories also show a one sided love story Nobunaga and Himiko (NTF) Light Yagami [kira] and Misa Amane (DN) and show the femal characters are willing to do anything for the ones they love.

Guilty Crown

Let me start off with the one major and most visible difference which is that Death Note is more horror like and gloomy yet Guilty Crown gives off a bit of Romance Drama mixed with action that brings you very close to the characters. Also a major similarity is the awesome sound tracks (hit the feels real good) and they both bring you really close to both the Main Characters but all the semi-major roles played by the other characters. They both start out as an anime where the MC finds a source of power which is destined to them and one that grants them immense power over humanity and means to save it from it self. The MC then finds a female counter part to his power that at first does not understand their true feeling (both MC's and their partners) but by the end they both realize how much they loved each other.
