Arifureta Shokugyou is basically your typical harem mixed with the isekai genre. It isn't anything special. You have your main character who is loved by all the girls for no good reason. Somehow, I managed to find it actually a little bit enjoyable, which is surprising since I'm not a big harem fan.
The story is your typical isekai. Some boy lives in some fantasy land and is trying to find his way back home to the real world. There's pretty much nothing new here. The best part about the story is the comedic bits, but other than that, nothing stood out.
The art is average. It's
...
not spectacular, but it's not horrible, except for the CGI. Most CGI in anime is bad, but the CGI in Arifureta Shokgyou is horrendous. Half the time I couldn't even tell what the CGI was supposed to be.
The soundtrack isn't anything special either. The opening theme was really the only thing that stood out to me.
The characters are your typical harem anime characters. You have the main character, who surprisingly isn't a wuss like most harem main characters (thank god), but the female characters are literally carbon-copies of every harem female. You have the loli, the dumb one, the perverted one, the little girl, and the childhood friend. Nothing new there.
I enjoyed the action scenes the most in Arifureta Shokugyou. They were pretty well done and might have been the sole reason I finished the anime. As mentioned earlier, some of the comedic bits were pretty good too, but the story and characters definitely don't make Arifureta Shokugyou that enjoyable.
This is a pretty average anime overall, so I wouldn't go out of your way to watch it. I would pretty much only recommend it to fans of harem anime and isekai, but even then, there's better anime in those two genres rather than this one.
