Yeah, it's hard. Unlike Log Horizon this world mechanic is a bit convoluted, make it hard to appeal to the "gamers" out there. I'm not saying that it's bad or anything, it's just hard to adapt it to anime.

Even without all the comedy and the anti-isekai trope throughout the length of this novel, the author went all out with both the world-building and the character-building, resulting in those rare moments when the story went to the actual serious side with the war and the relationships of our protagonist. Especially Kazuma, he gets a point from me whenever he reminded everyone of his pathetic back-story while actually being productive with his own strength. He truly has the charisma of the main character( despite his trashiness personality). And the main casts are unique in their own way. All and all this is a great find

The very first chapter serves both as a great prologue and a fanservice chapter, which annoys me and pleases me to no end. It's a great introduction to our man, Takayanagi, and at the same time hook, line, and sinker the casual readers, the younger side to be specific. Its first impression is strong, so strong first-time readers won't realize the weird, borderline illogical end of the first chapter. Though they had to if they want this series to continue. I said borderline because their resolved the problem in future chapters. But it still stuck out from the rest of the series.

Do not eat raw river fish, do not eat raw food in general, salmonella is not good, also the behavior of some of the animals in this manga are straight up BS. Though manga in 2015 tends to have some BS narrating so this is actually within my expectation.
I won't say anything about luck and stuff because for a happy go lucky teenager he's done quite well.
