I could go into a lot about this series, but I wont. It's not worth it.

Voice acting was fair, Music was ok, had good Opening song. Art and animation was find. Now let get to the point, skip this anime. There are ton of anime out there, that can give better enjoyment then this anime could dream to. To sum it up what this anime has to offer is basic borderline hentai and some RPG elements. The fan serves is horrible , I usually don't mine it at all but in this one it take way from what little story this anime has to offer. ... Characters, I'll give that the main was some what interesting but rest of the cast has been seen and done, nothing special or interesting about them. I really had hard time watch this one all the way through, it's was pretty boring. But worst part of this anime is plot. The person who wrote must of been going for dual story with fantasy world plot and real world plot. Which would been fine they choice focus one at time. When I watch the first episode I felt throw into story, which would be fine if they had give some explanation later into story but that never happen. When you get to the part about the reason these kids end up into other worlds and how when they come back they are draft as student become soldiers. It this part of plot that is totally fuck up. It make no sense and seem to make less sense as go through the anime. Next major issue is that anime can't seem to stick to the two major plot at all and seem to go through form one side plot that has no important what so every to story, to next meaningless plot. You have episode where he get motorcycle, that that point, so he can look cool not that actually important to plot. The series in last 3rd jump back into one of the major stories but at this point I could care less because they didn't build the character or the conflict for me to get behind it. So sum up the story was is basically role up piece of garage. Only reason I watch series all way through, so I could used the element I did like for re-wright in my head. From the original there was not much to go on. So over all this series has element that been done, useless fan serve, and can't seem make up mind about which plot it want you to fellow. In other words, this skip this anime. It doesn't deserve a second season. Total Bomb.

What is fate and does it exist? This is what Mawaru Penguindrum all about, no that a lie, it's many things. This one series stand out to me and is hard to categorize. Watching this series your in for good ride of many themes. Nothing in this series is predictable and it will lie to you and hid it's meaning, leaving you big epic finish for end. I don't want tell you much about anything really. It not fair to your enjoyment. So here are for numbers out of 1 though 10, flow of plot 9, over all major themes 9, character development 9, characters ... 9, story 10, music 8, animation 8, and story message 10. You should watch series to end, I could not stop crying and even more so feeling surprise by as the story goes along. Not many series out there can surprise me as developed. But this one was refreshing in that aspect completely. Give it try, I'm sure it will be nothing like what your current expression of it is.

Angel Beats! is good series and I would of given it a higher rating for not the many issues that it's main plot line had. I still recommend that you try this anime even with it's problem. You going to get a supreme cast of characters, good music, great art and animation, exceptional humor, wonderful past, and some of the best written backstories, I've ever seen in anime. This series made me cry and laugh. Is that not, what good entertainment suppose to do? (Please give Japanese version a try for TK.) (spoiler narrative warning.)

First the main plot as an idea is exceptional but in ... practice this series was fair at best. It really need more narrative editing to work. They presented the story to you with characters that have died and were brought into this world that is the afterlife. This is a world for young people who died with major sense of regret, so they can resolve that regret. The characters meet each other and fight to understand the world their in and why their life were so cruel. But the main story has major problems.

These problems lay in the drive of plot line and it's answers. What you will see, are the characters running around with no purpose. This drive for plot line could work if creator gave element for them to over come but instead they leave the characters this to meet and forum misunderstanding about each other as a plot drive. For a plot of afterlife, cruelty of life, and it's meaning, this is really a shitty drive. You find when watching it, that it's more then obvious that creator had not figure out what they wanted the characters to achieve from fighting and exploring this world. When you get to answer they give to characters. Answer is nothing. So, when you then look back at characters effort and strive, you fine your self asking why they go through all that for. There for what little drive was in the story become pointless.

Now looking at one major theme of the plot and that is, I have resolve my regret and now i can go on. This is done in perfect tune. The regret that that characters had and answers to what resolve those regret was skillful. Drive is empty, but the major theme of moving on is what come into the story and bring it back on to life support. And finally the characters have it on rehab. Then the stories past, flows perfect.

Characters will make up for the story faults It good range of cast. It sad say with this 12 episode series, that we don't get know all them. Tho ones we do are well developed. The present part of the story is empty, but character's background stories are finish and perfect. These backgrounds stories are what will make up for a lot of crap about present drive of the story.

Personally I love this anime even with these mistake. I wish they had fix problems before the production. But there is still ton of stuff for you watch series. Like humor, it's real smart. But not main element to story. The pain in background story of character is so raw and real that they leave you numb. I cry and wanted fight with them after seeing their backstories. It's why I'm so mad at main story's pointless drive, since the backstories were done at master level.

If they had fix the motivation for character and drive of the story to better match backstories. To where thing that happen in backstories had effected the present world their in and create barrier that they to had over come to greater degree. This series would be 10. I want you watch this series because I think those character and backstories are worth your time. If your anime fan. Then series is one of those that does something different. There not a lot series I know of that have this kind of plot. You also are pretty much getting topic game art, music and especially animation. This is a really nice looking series to watch. I happen a pawn this early in junior high and it something very simple. It kind border a music video but not in bad way. Why I hate how short it is. The characters are cute. For yaoi/shounen ai fans, it's must see. Plot may be basic but was refreshing for me. If want more boy love give it a try. To sum it up your watching something short and sweet, and your not going get anything else like out there.

Sora no Otoshimono has to be one of best made series for ecchi genera and much more. This series has good battle scenes, ton of parodies and some best though out joke about ecchi in general, good music, great character that have many level to them (why this series has some of my most favorite character in all anime), and a story, where creator will tease you with plot point and only give out so much information. In other worlds top notch story writing. That will make want more. Why there been two season and one movie only tiny bit over all story has been ... revealed. It's only fault lie in either people will find it can be too much or for me, it was that story has good pace but it little a bit of mess.

To say their one story to Sora no Otoshimono is lie. First all this is big mac combo. You have the normal ecchi comedy over done school boy pervert story with point fan serves episode. It is also comedy that parody ecchi humor. Instead this being ecchi comedy. Then we have the hidden social commendatory of slavery, weapon mass destruction, and dystopia. Then god/angel theme with a world bender to fantasy adventure plot line. Which is most of keep in the dark.

The character development is not really there for some cast but for those don't develop their persona are pretty well made and set in their role. But for main angel cast it's there. Over all character are well design. The main character is pretty manic, complex, and is a mess. You know what I mean once you get know him. He kind reflect story itself and how messy it is.

The music is real good and this where you will see main parody part of series. Almost every episode come with it own ending and that ending will reflect plot for that episode. The ending visual and song will be parody of what episode plot was parodying. There is range but most of parody are of anime, so you may not need know much about japan. (oh note: I review from sub point of view, I don't like dubs.)

Art and animation is good. This series actual has over all potent joke for ecchi. The creator those not hold back nor hold your hand. Comedy and ecchi are reflection of each other in this series. I think creator trying make point with these to element about ecchi genera. I could be wrong this is pure conjecture on my part but that going on what I watched.

I highly recommend this series. If see you my list, you know I watch a lot over years. I feel like i got enough under my belt to know what good. You at least try the 1st season. Warning as I said before, when it come to ecchi part, the creator here does not holding back. If you can't handle ecchi, then don't watch this series. But it's not only fan serves. It's has real fun fantasy adventure plot under it. I will say movie not as good but fault came from fact that I feel like they did not know how make movie or the original was made for other format first, like ova. The movie has story good like series but half movie was recap and part of it could this been more episodes.
