First things first. Anime is "So educational" ^_^

As for me and my feelings on anime that i feel up to sharing at the point of this edit:

It's rather hard to say I'm biased against anime as I watch pretty much anything thrown at me, just no "mainstream" manga/anime til its not "mainstream" or I actually feel like reading/watching it.

Comment about English dubbing-
Some can be great, some can be really horrible, most of it is unnoticed as a whole, while i do enjoy series in a language i understand, many times its not worth the culture difference to listen to an english translation. I've found only a few exceptions to this rule due to my own laziness in such animes like Kaliedo Star (which i know is bad) and NANA. I actually think the english (as someone who understands it) helps me because of my want to pay attention to the anime instead of the translation.

Ratings are based on how I felt at the time i finished it. So dont judge. If my opinion changes about a series severely I'll reconsider the rating.

I totally understand what you're saying. But without these mainstream series, a lot of people (especially in America) would never get into anime at all. I just randomly stumbled upon Naruto one night on Cartoon Network, and since then I've been trying to watch as much anime as I can. I basically am trying to go down the list on this site to find anime that I really like. Clannad just isn't my style. I like action. Clannad was anything BUT action. And yeah, Death Note is an awesome series. It's a very well thought out series IMO.

I could say that your 'underground' taste has blinded you from actually enjoying 'mainstream' anime. It's just a matter of tastes. I don't like shojo. I like shonen. Clannad was shojo, and thus i was bored out of my mind the ENTIRE series.

Nah i don't think it's for gays, someone called me that because I made that thread so I just snapped, but my stand is still there It could be good if it had good art and some changes in storyline. I like romance well rom comedy, Toradora is great by me so... I just snapped at some guy...

I never watch anime just so I can say I watched it or because I wanna have more anime titles on my list.

LOGH is definetely must see, and rightly deserves its position as number 1 MAL anime, so yeah, I do recommend you to watch it.

Well, I only watched first season because I intended to watch After Story, after seeing that it placed number 2 on MAL list.
But, I'm not sure anymore...

And Sunohara wasn't that bad, he was only a slightly more mischievous than Tomoya, and, IMO, he did deserve to have someone who loves him.

I don't like harems simply because all other male characters, except for main lead, are treated like trash.
It's okay if we're talking about hentais where one guy can fuck anything that moves, but usual harems are just annoying.

I mean, what every harem is basically the same.
Main lead do something for each of particular few girls, and they're all ready to suck his dick whenever he wants.

I like romance genre, but only if there's one male <--> one female. Harem =/= romance.

The only parts that I liked were when Sunohara was on-screen.

Tomoya is garbage, though.

told you that you should've picked up Wallflower but noooo. you wanted to watch Magikano. Well y'know, they can't ALL be good. I'm sure this isn't the first bad anime that you've seen.
