These are the shoujo with the best character developement (imo) and are free of that over-the-top "comical" violence
- Orange
- Futari wa Precure
- Ashita no Nadja
- Versailles no Bara
- Lady Georgie
I'd list more but i'm not that well-versed in shoujo either 😅 these are all ones i grew up watching, exept for Orange which is one of the few modern shoujo i really enjoyed
As a bonus i'll throw in Aishite Knight, it's pretty cute, though it's not the best at portraying character growth
And as you can see i'm quite enjoying Fruits Basket (2019), but it does have one supporting f-character who does the beating up m-character gag aaand... the Souma clan has some unconventional family dynamics that might be a turn-off for some, though i will say so far that aspect is pretty well executed and not made weirder than it already is
I also noticed you have Banana Fish on-hold, which i can understand if it's not your cup of tea as it does cover really dark and uncomfortable topics, but if you do decide to give it another go i promise you it is one of the best written psychological anime out there, it also doesn't show any off the gruesome stuff on-screen rather focusing on the psycological effects such things can cause
Some people like Isekai and some people don't. The important part is how you interact with things you don't like.
It is okay not to like something as long as you don't hate on those who do.
Demon slayer is something I also find enjoyable.
You should mairimashita is such a nice show.
I always love a wholesome show so usagi drop is probably something for me. And for dennou coll is is not the genre I mostly watch but it is worth a shot and if you say it is good is is probably good
omg HAHAHAH its totally fine.. im so inactive these days too :<
im really having my own life now T-T before, mal is my go-to everyday.. guess im gettin old huhu
bUT YEAAAAAA IVE BEEN READING A LOT.. (but ahaha.. they're.... mostly.. questionable ones)
It doesn't have to be terrifying though, does it? Even the good ol' Greeks made fables out of animals because they were made by.... uhhh... slaves? Wait, they did WHAT to Aesop??? Holy moly.... the Aesop wikipedia page is quite interesting, and if I ever have a time machine, this place would be in my top 10 places to go to now. Don't ask me about the other 9.
Fascination with immortality, if so then why are vampires evil? Grrr, look at good old society moralizing us about our dreams to have some more time existing, of all things =3=
But pre-vampyre-the-book mythology? Ehh, I feel like a lot of European mythology kinda falls flat in this regard, like oh, look, some cool culture has their myth of vampire??? "I'm sorry fellas" says the Christian church "we are retconning your Vampire, now he's like, a demon, from hell, oooooooh~ are you scared yet? Come to church, and if you don't? You become a vampire, oooooooh~"... But... not following the moral code, dying, only to come back as an immortal being that didn't even need to work and could just... go around, at night, and do whatever they wanted, and then play pranks on people by "pretending" to be dead in their coffins??? I think they were unto something.
Anyway, wise words, SakuraCherì, wise words, spoke like one capable of understanding media, yes yes. Ever had the thought of sucking some media dry by analysing it, like a true intellectual vampire? p:
Also I like the idea that getting a work sounds less work and effort than public funding. Think of all the amazing journey you'd go through to convince 1000 people!!! And it's tax free money as well =3=
In italy... Bread gets stale... because you know... we go to... what you call a bakery... to get bread... it usually looks like this.
When you get it it's so crunchy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, woahhh, and it's got a bit of that sweet, wine-line aftertaste from the levitation, aaaah.... @.@
Rice is versatile? What do you eat with your rice??? It feels more like a side dish than a main one, you... you could eat just rice I guess.... the only thing I made with rice is peas and eggs and that's where my rice expertise ends. Well, rarely, I suppose, there's rice with Pumpkin and provola... but that's rare!!
Say, SakuraCherì, do you subscribe to the idea that the best tales we've come up with are a reflection of our real life?
If so then Vampire being based on the greedy nobles that suck the life out of the people that work under them makes sense. u.u
But it also makes the Vampire that are more normal... less Vampiery... like if you're a Vampire and you're normal, then why are you a vampire in the first place? I does become that minor thing that you bring up at some point during minor talk like "oh, and by the way, I'm a Vampire, if that matters to you."
You can become rich by.... having people donate money to you out of their heart, right? If you convince 1000 people to just give you 1$ one day, that's... 1000$!!! Do it enough time and you either become an Artist in the morally ambiguous riches!
Once a week is enough? Just think in your head...
How much bread do you eat once a day? (ahh, that's a lot from me... and bread gets also stale so easily....)
Your preferred breakfast? Your preferred snack? And what will you have for lunch 4 days from now? I am completely terrible with planning, I can't look that far into the future to just be okay with what I decide 4 days earlier!
Nah there's a small group of MAL users who call anything they perceive as having a "strong/non sexualized" female lead shoujo, they tend to also trash shounen every chance they get, unsurprisingly they totally freaked out when it was pointed out to them that their beloved Frieren is a shounen xD
If you mean Apothecary it's a seinen, but yeah it did get really popular among the female audience and you can see it reflect in how the storytelling style evolves between s1 and s2
Not sure how things play out in the manga or OG light novel but i'm sure they both great :)
One thing i really like about the series is that even with how the storytelling evolves it still stays true to it's origins
SakuraCheri said: what the heck is that orb anime? I'm actually intrigued
Orb is a historical anime set at the end of the 1400s when humans first discovered the earth rotates around the sun, very interesting, and very dark
Well I always been fond off Sword Art Online, but that is maybe because it was one of the first animes i really watched and got me into anime.
I also really like Mairimashita! Iruma-kun. It is just so wholesome and entertaining. You just got to love it.
