This series is definitely a good series. It is a funny slice of life series to binge through. I would honestly recommend this series if you are looking for a short little series to make you chuckle. bring up is the characters and animation. The characters are all hilariously made. The interactions between all of these characters are fantastic. Then the animation of the show flows very well together, and there are some scenes that are gorgeous to look at. Now I would not go into this anime looking for a deep progression in a relationship. The characters don't have a lot of depth either. The anime is just a short and sweet series that does what it is going for well.

So I kind of heard this anime in passing on forum boards, and on reddit and such. I wanted to watch this without knowing anything in it whatsoever. I was honestly a little disappointed. Now I wanted to write this review after I looked into this a bit. I watched some analysis's on this series, and see if I was missing something. I still have come to a average grade on this anime. series in my opinion. Now it is interesting to see how far characters would go in a situation that has happened to them. This is what I kind of saw as a general statement for people that have liked this series. Now my counter to this is yes. The payoff is very nice. However in order for me to care about the situations that happen. I need to have good characters that I actually care about. Whenever a character does something, or something happens to them, I feel like in this anime it happened just for the sake of shock factor. I honestly despised these characters. It was very over dramatised. If that is what you want in a show. Have at it hoss, but for me the characters are the absolute worst part of this anime. Now if they are wanting me to hate the characters. They did a great job doing it. It is kind of like just watching a show of a bunch of scummy people hurting each other. I kind of feel like I am missing something to the anime. However after thinking about that, and watching others videos on it. I feel like that if the show is that unclear on me maybe the show didn't convey it's meaning correctly. Now I would recommend this show to someone who likes dramas, and or seeing a yandere harem. Not my cup of tea to be honest. Maybe the meaning was a bit too deep for me. I wanted to like this anime, and even if I don't like a anime I can see why people are like it. However it is a bit lost too me. I honestly think this is my most overthought anime ever haha.

So let it be said I am a sappy romantic. I love me a good romantic comedy, and I am down. This series does just that. Usually with anime/manga I have a hard time keeping up with characters. this genre. There are too many love stories that logically don't make sense. It's nice to sit down and just read a good love story. Especially one that has such amazing side characters. On top of that the art is fantastic. It is a shojo, but does not have that standard shojo look. Overall. I would highly recommend this manga. It is a gorgeous series that is nearly perfect. Minus Iyo and her brother. I personally think it would be perfect.

So a old anime movie. Nothing like hearing the elitists saying how this is the pinnacle of anime, and the new fans saying its boring haha. After having this movie in my stash of stuff that my friend lent me. I finally found some time to watch this. So what is this movie really? In my opinion. It is somewhere in the middle. reminiscent of the stories of video games at the time. I could imagine watching this movie as a kid, and being awestruck by it. Now another thing that I noticed was that this animation, at the time, is stunning. The style is very nice, and it is interesting to see how anime used to be compared to what it is now. However a few characters did look a little off admittedly. Also they did repeat a couple of animations. Probably to cut back on the cost. Then one of the women characters had a head like a character from Akira, and super small lips. Another thing that wasn't too good, but kind of gets a pass due to when it was made was the sound. The sound is good overall, but there were parts that the sound was kind of quiet. Then there was the standard action sounds of the sword cutting through something. However it is still nice to see how far we have come in the sound department. Now another thing that was bad, but I still loved it. was the dub. The dub is so hilarious. It is good at some parts. However it is still a cartoon in the 80's. So know that going into it haha. Just the long pauses and responses, as well as the actual voice acting is great. Very reminiscent of old martial arts films. Which I am a sucker on. Now the characters I think is honestly the most negative part of this movie. Some of the characters are kind of have way to obvious motives. Which given how basic the story is. That is bound to happen. However like 2 of the characters, in my opinion, are a little unbearable. Also if you are looking for a super deep thought provoking movie. You won't find it here. It is a standard fantasy action film. Is it different, and it tries to do things differently? Yes. Absolutely. I loved it haha. It was a very good film. Simple story. Hilarious dialogue. Definitely a good movie to watch with a group of friends. You won't really get lost either, and it isn't a long movie. Definitely a good movie to admire the work that was put into earlier animation, and respect how far we have come. Overall I would recommend it. Especially if you love animation, or the have a love for the production side of things like I do.

So Gamers! was the first seasonal anime I actually kept up ever. To be honest it was pretty good! Not perfect, but definitely a good entrance to get into slice of life anime. does most anime. It is pretty well written too. I loved the conversations between all of the characters. It was hilarious to see a bunch of awkward nerds try to connect together. Now the story was a little too standard for me. It was like juuussst enough for the story to progress. I thought a few moments were kind of bland. Also one scene close to the end kind of seemed out of left field. However it seems like the reviews are very polarizing. So I would just watch it if you think you would like it.

So let me start off by saying that I am extremely biased on rating this anime, and here is a short reasoning why. I actually just got out of a very long, very very bad relationship, in my life. I actually stopped watching anime a lot at this time, and kind of stopped doing the things I enjoyed. However at the time one thing kind of kept me going without me realizing it, and that was the Genshiken manga. So recently I started making strides in being me again. steps in my life. I went to my local used entertainment store, and they had the complete collection of Genshiken. To be honest I did tear up a little bit when I first saw it. So this is how much this series means to me. It helped me when I needed it, and helped me when I didn't even know I needed help. So why do I love this series so much? Well the biggest thing is the characters. There is actually not too much of a main character. It starts out focusing on one character, but branches off really well to the other characters. The writing is very well done in this anime. It has very good progression in the character's development. I honestly do really care for these characters. The story is also ok. It is enough to make it feel like there is progression. Honestly the story is there to say "Hey what would these characters do if this happened?" Like I said the writing, and what the characters say is freaking hilarious and smart. However this anime, minus my fan glasses, does have flaws. The biggest, in my opinion, is the artwork. Now given that this production company that made this, and that this is there biggest anime. It makes sense. However don't expect amazing levels of animation. This also kind of goes with the sound. Now the original voice actors in japanese do actually sound pretty good. I personally did not like the dub of this anime, but hey pick your poison. Now is it the greatest slice of life in the world? No. Absolutely not. However to me it is. This is one of those animes that has a lot of emotional power to it. Because this show honestly did help me a lot. Now if you are looking for a underrated anime I would recommend this one. I hope that one person does enjoy this anime from my review. Because this anime is a wonderful treat to watch.

So I recently started getting into Ghibli films. I only had seen Howl's moving castle before seeing spirited away, Princess Mononoke, and now obviously Castle in the Sky. Now a disclaimer I had seen this movie in a local theater showing on a date. So I think I had a obvious enhanced experience from watching it at home. Which I would definitely watch a Ghibli film in theaters. The visuals and sound obviously being the heart of these films are wonderful. So overall I think the movie was a solid film. The movie doesn't focus on explaining the little details of the worlds the make.

Though a little different of how I enjoy my movies. It is still a good experience though. So I guess the negatives are this. The story is obviously the biggest negative. Because it is a very simple premise, and it is kind of at the end of the list when making these movies. Like I said isn't a bad thing, but still shouldn't be ignored and should be brought up for a review. So I guess the next smaller negative is that I did not really feel a huge connection to the characters. I liked them, but this is kind of a side affect on focusing on a big picture of showing the world they made. It did not take away from my experience though. Neither did the story. So now the positives. I loved the visuals of this movie. That much is obvious. These films are almost the epitome of what the best animation should be. I am even more impressed with how old this movie is. Compared to other animations of the time. It is a night and day difference. However that much is obvious. It is a Ghibli film. However one thing that took me by surprise is the sound. The voice acting and the actual sounds used in the movie is superb. Personally my favorite part of the movie. Now I am admittedly a little biased since I love sound design in movies. However listening to the little things of the movies, and on top of that the voice acting is amazing. You got some lesser known actors and actresses. Then you got some like Mark Hamill as a villain which is always a couple of points in my book. Now overall I would totally recommend this movie. It is a cool experience to see the world that someone made up. Now go into it thinking about how you are going to see a world, not a story, and you should get a lot of joy out of it. Like I did.

So Log Horizon. Definitely a gem of a anime. I honestly only started watching this because I saw that the opening was one of my favorite songs. It turns out that this is a great anime! other thing that was just kind of forced in there is the standard love scenes. Now for the most part. They handle this well. It makes sense of why they feel this way. However right at the end they have the standard stereotypical love episode. It was a little awkward to watch. However the person they go after does not care so much about this stuff, and it doesn't really affect the storyline. It also makes sense at the end to. It was just so sudden it kind of caught me off guard. Also people admit their love when there wasn't really anything indicating that. However not a huge thing. Now for the good criticisms. The art is ok. Pretty standard, and it stands out in some parts. The sound, story, and characters is what stands out to me. It was really nice to see a main character actually not be so (sorry for the pun) two dimensional. He is extremely smart, and what he and the other characters do makes sense. It explores the multiple ways people would react of being stuck in a game. The sound is also very nice, and the pairing of the good fight scenes. Is fantastic. It actually does not make me hate magic users in video games as well. Also we don't seem to be any closer as to why everyone is stuck in this game as well. So definitely looking forward to the second season. The story is pretty good too. It feels like everything actually has meaning even though it may not be fully understood why it is happening. However it does get explained. So no plot holes from what I can see so far. Overall I would definitely recommend this anime. It is definitely a above average anime. If you want a good video game anime. Or if, unlike me, you hated sword art online. I feel like this would be a redemption anime if you felt that way about sword art. So try it out if yah want.

This anime is dumb. Honestly it is extremely dumb, and that is why it is perfect. To me it is so bad that it is good. Almost like the movie "The Room". The voice acting in the dub is hilarious. Alrighty Samurai Girls. Well to clarify for anyone reading this. I do see a lot of people say that this adaption of this anime from it's visual novel apparently outright crap. However I have not read the visual novel. So with that clarification. On to the review. Now first the negatives. The story is very eh at best. It makes sense, but it is very plain to say the least. It is enough to get the characters to get out of the house. However what are you going to expect out of a harem series? You know why you watch these ecchi harems. So characters

for me. Most of them are ok. However some of them are kind of annoying to me personally. However that just narrows down who my waifu is. So take that as you will. However with this being a harem. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this series was. I did enjoy this series. So lets start of with the art. Now this is the same studio who made another one of my favorites assassination classroom, and Monster Musume if you like that series. This series does a great job with the fighting animations, and there is plenty of it. The characters also look a bit different as well. So the art style is very nice as well. Also watching uncensored on the blu ray is a added bonus. The sound is also good if you are worried about that. So for the overall feel of the anime as I stated above I liked this series. Usually I am very picky about this genre of anime. Usually its awkward dialogue, WAY too young of a girl, or maybe even a slow boring story. Yes the story is slow, and plain. There is still one there. It is enough to make sense of why the characters do what they do. However no little girl sexual tension. That is automatically a plus in my book. If yah like it it isn't here. If you don't welcome to the party. The jokes are pretty good to. Obviously the jokes are sexual. Because yah know? Harem anime. However I laughed out at some of these jokes. Then the voice acting with the main character and Miyako are absolute gems. The way he talks when she surprises him is fantastic in the dub of this anime. So the score is a seven out of ten for me. I would recommend this anime, but only to people who like this type of anime. If you are a elitist anime fan. You aren't going to like it. Which they don't really like anything. Anyways. I loved it the art is good, dialogue is pretty good, plenty of good waifus to choose from, boobs, and some great fight scenes. Also the opening is pretty kick ass.
