Let me preface this review by saying that if you're expecting some ingenious plot from this show, you're going to be left severely disappointed.
From the studio that made Angel Beats!, Charlotte, Another & Maquia, this is Shiroi Suna no Aquatope.
Story: 6/10
The plot is pretty straightforward. There's no real *excitement* or *twists* that leave you wanting more. It epitomises what we call "slice-of-life". One might call it tedious and generally lacklustre. That said, it's not bad. It's just there.
Art: 8.5/10
Aquatope is one pretty show. The opening scene is gorgeous. Its style (in my opinion) is somewhat reminiscent of Wonder Egg Priority. Colours are vivid
...
and just pop out of your screen. It's truly an experience.
Sound: 7/10
It works. The opening is punchy and vibrant. It just screams summer and is so full of life. The ending, on the other hand, is dichotomous. Mellow and soft, like at the bottom of a calm, deep-blue sea. My kind of music. The in-between sounds and tracks fit the atmosphere well most of the time.
Character: 6/10
There's not much character development in this show. We get backstories for our two protagonists, but even then, it's not much. Though, given the context of the show, perhaps thats fine. The side characters do feel cookie-cutter, but I don't mind.
Enjoyment: 6/10
Besides the visuals, it's a rather dull show. You watch this when you don't want to think too hard and wish to relax. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a show I think I would find hard to recommend.
Overall: 6.5/10
As of writing, 6 episodes has aired. Though something may surprise me, I do doubt my overall score will change. It's an okay watch with spectacular art and good sound.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading my review ♡

This has got to be one of the most memorable shows I have ever seen. It had the biggest rating jumping between episodes I've ever witnessed. By episode 6 I had this at 1/1.5. By episode 12 it was at a 6. By 18, it back down to a 3. And finally, now at 24, it's at a 7. Seriously what the hell.
Its animation at times is absolutely atrocious. And I hate, hate, hate the human side. It was just so dull and uninspiring. Typical shounen shit. Loved Kumeko though. It's such a conflicting show.
Would I recommend anyone watch this? I really, really can't
...
say. If you followed the 3 episode drop rule, this show might not pan out. I don't drop, so it wasn't too much of an issue there.
The op is actually pretty nice, sonically at least. Visuals wise, it was pretty standard. The ED was pretty rough unless you're into Iruma-Kun styled music (ie: brainless dancing and vocals).
It was really hard coming up with a rating for this. It made me smile at times for sure, but just as many times it made me cringe and question your taste in anime. Nevertheless, I'm glad I stuck through this and I'm excited for a Season 2 whenever it releases.
Final rating ~ 7/10

Gekidan Nanatsu no Taizai is 13 episodes lasting about 2 minutes each. The ONA itself does not introduce anything new and consists of some dialogue between the cast members.
As a fan of Nanatsu no Taizai, it's always nice to hear the cast's voices again and the art (all chibis) is nice enough too.
Overall, it doesn't take too much time, less than half an hour in total, so if you like the original give this a quick watch.
At the time of writing, Dragon's Judgement (Nanatsu no Taizai: Fundo no Shinpan) is coming to a close and its host of new characters, commandments and archangels sadly
...
do not make an appearance.
I gave it a 5/10.

Mini Dragon is an ONA consisting of 2 minutes videos based on the original series, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon. I gave the original series a high 6 (mal score 6) because whilst I enjoyed parts of it, I did find Kobayashi herself to be somewhat annoying and that dropped its score by a bit.
On the other hand, I really enjoyed Mini Dragon, as short as it was. Tohru's 3D model in the op was to-die-for. So, so cute. Lots of points for that. The actual story's themselves were nothing remarkable but nice nonetheless. Great to see the rest of the cast too. I gave
...
Mini Dragon a high 7 (mal score 7) and I don't think that will change.
Also, it got me excited for Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S, the sequel, coming out this summer.
It doesn't take too long, so if you've watched and liked the prequel, give Mini Dragon a go!

This is my first review so do bear with me.
5-toubun no Hanayome ∬ (QQ), what a ride. It was somewhere around episode 5 of Season 2 that I decided I loved the show and binged the manga. I could not stop grinning ear to ear watching this show. It's marked a harem and while the quintuplets themselves may arguably fall into generic anime tropes, it doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment.
Why you might ask?
Perhaps, it's because each quintuplet genuinely cares about the other. Though they want to succeed, they don't want each other getting hurt in the process. That in itself is a
...
contradiction, and the show explores how and if the quintuplets can overcome this. Moreover, they have that little something that makes them unique and distinct from one another despite being quintuplets. That's the hook.
Another reviewer, compared this to Nisekoi but I feel saying that's a stretch is an understatement. Nisekoi is a great show (I've recommended it with S1 of QQ) with an interesting story, but the characters are very cookie-cutter and generic in nature and could have been in any show. QQ isn't like that. Each one is tailor-made, naturally, for this show alone.
Admittedly, I enjoyed this season more than the first (though the first was very good in and of itself) because this time around, I feel the characters are better expressed and are given more time to shine. Though the tutelage aspect of the show is one of its quirks that I adore, in the later episodes this is toned down and the story focuses more on Futaro learning the things outside the books, like what it's like to be in love and loved back. It's just so nice.
In terms of adaptation quality, it's very faithful to the manga in my opinion and not much has been left out.
The opening song, Gotōbun no Katachi, is a pleasure to listen to - slightly more than the first - and is played on repeat in my house. The sister's being the vocalists for the song is just icing on the cake.
This season had many great shows, but topping all those shows off in my humble opinion was Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2 (9.5) and this (9.5). It goes without saying I'm excited for Season 3!
It's only 24 episodes long (including the first season) so if you have time, give it a watch :)
