I stumbled upon this anime since it is one of the most highly recommended on reddit when it comes down to Romance. I will agree that it is a good watch however I do not think this is a necessity to watch if you are a regular consumer of romantic dramas.
The first thing I will point out is the art. The art could sometimes make you go wow! to "oh, there is another copy pasted CGI person walking in the same robotic fashion as 99% of the background characters. Art is generally what grabs my attention the most. And my first impression, especially
...
in the intro, was "wow, look at all that terrible CGI." This show does have it's moments with animation. However I would say the amount of CGI background characters thrown in there was a little too much.
The story. Honestly, just having to sit here thinking about it I don't think I was that big of a fan of the story. It definitely had it's moments. However I felt there was a lot of cheap drama that was thrown in the story to help move it along which I was never a fan of. You knew exactly how the drama would play out, what would happen, and how it was resolved all within the first 30 seconds of when it is introduced. Again, nothing really wrong with that. However the over use of the cheap drama is where I began to get bored with it.
The good points? Do you like having diabeetus shot straight into your veins? Because there is PLENTY of diabeetus to go around. And that is what made the show more enjoyable for me. I feel had the creators spent more time exploring their relationship with the multiple cute interactions that they had. This show would have thrived a lot better. The cheap drama never really did anything that you didn't already know about. These two characters pushed each other in a very wholesome way and this was the shows strongest point. I feel they should have stuck with this direction instead of the cheap drama.
The characters. To be honest, most of the characters were really bland. The only two interesting characters are the main characters. They have a lot of awkward moments together and they completely understand each other at the same time. At multiple points, I felt myself, as the viewer cringe in awkwardness. I have been in that very same situation multiple times and there were a lot of times I could relate with what the characters were thinking and feeling. These two were the driving force of the show and is what made it watchable. There rest of the characters are well...just there. They don't offer any substance, they don't really push the story along, they just exist to fill the space. And really I couldn't care about any of the characters other than the main ones.
Overall I think my final score of 7 is a good and fair score. This show isn't terrible, however, it also isn't the greatest love story of all time. And for what it is worth, for being an anime original I definitely have to give Studio Feel some credit. They made a short little story and I feel they did a good job in telling what they wanted. I just could have used a lot less cheap drama and used more diabeetus.

As a consumer of romance and romantic comedies I could tell this one could have had a lot of potential to be something great. However, it really lacked a punch that most other romance shows are better at.
The story: Honestly, this is where this particular anime really shot itself in the foot. I am okay with a slow burn. However I had to force myself to watch beyond the first four episodes before I started getting some good tingly gooey vibes. And it was a huge shame. Characters that are introduced and get back stories suddenly do not have anymore relevance in the plot
...
and are tossed aside as your usual gag characters. In other words, the story fails really hard at trying to get you to become attached to the characters in any way. The show also does way too much telling and not enough showing. You are given a slight hint about something and it immediately becomes apparent that they couldn't hide it from you any longer. Which personally, insulted me as a viewer. Tada could have had such a PHENOMENAL back story had they played their cards right and it's a shame that it feels like they couldn't make their mind up about who Tada is until Episodes 9-13.
Story continued: Now, with all of that being said there were very good moments in the story that highlighted some fantastic moments. You could tell the characters cared for each other. Their love for one another felt very real. And when this show finally decides to give you some romance they execute it very well that it could compete with other top dogs in the romance industry. I just REALLY wish they would have done a lot more building up on the romance throughout the entire series and not give us fluff in between some. So, because they were able to execute the romance correctly. I gave the story a 6.
Art: Listen. The art is REALLY good. And the art is the STRONGEST point of the entire show. It is very pleasing to the eye. The emotions are done well, the backgrounds, the environment, I can't really remember a bad or poorly drawn scene. My GOODNESS the COLORS that they played with are done really well. I have nothing but great things to say about the art. A solid 8.
Sound: It was engineered well. I don't really have a lot of complaints about the music choices they made or how the audio was mixed. It is a good experience with or without headphones. A 7.
Characters: GAH. If you read the story this is where I believe that the story hurts the most. The character building isn't done very well. Now, is it as bad as the character development of say Assassins Pride? No. But it is nowhere near as good as say the character development of The World God Only Knows. And that show would have 3 girls introduced and fleshed out perfectly within 12 episodes in a season. Again, this show fails to give you a good connection with the characters which is a damn shame.
Lets start with Tada: Tada is the MC of the show. I THINK (?) he is supposed to pose as a cold, heartless, guy who doesn't really care about anything other than taking photos. However, he comes off more as a man Kundere, and honestly that is giving him a compliment. This character could have been done SO WELL however I feel the studio had no idea on what direction to take him in. Without giving any spoilers away, this character's tragic backstory FAILS to tingle any nerves in my body that trigger any sorts of feels. There is a big moment when you are supposed to be taken aback by this character in one of his actions. However, since they fail to build his character up properly, you don't really feel anything for the guy. And again, it is a shame because this character could have been so much better.
Now by far the best character on the show without a doubt is Teresa. She is this cute, innocent, European girl who has fallen in love with a ridiculous show and decided to study abroad in Japan. This character develops naturally and has the most character growth in the entire series. Any time she feels, you feel, any time she laughs, you laugh, anytime she cries, you want to cry along with her. And the studio achieved her character perfectly. It's just baffling how much attention they put into her while leaving out the importance of other characters.
The supporting cast: Listen, even best broski, total chad, Tada's Wingman Ijuuin gets really annoying after the first episode. His antics are all the same, his motivational speeches fall flat, and honestly is a character that is needed in the show. However, this is another character who the studio doesn't know what to do with. He is no Kitamura, he is not a Satoshi, nor is he an ultimate bro like 2D Kun at the end of Golden Time. He is just...there? This character needed to be fleshed out more than some of the other characters that got whole episodes dedicated to them. If anyone needed fluff this was the character that needed it. Pretty much all the supporting characters are flat. Once you've met them that is what you get. There is really nothing to be surprised about.
Enjoyment: Listen, in the end I will have to admit that I enjoyed the show. Would I rate this highly and recommend to others? No, not unless they were asking for a specific criteria of a show. However I do not regret watching this show at all. I laughed in some places and was moved in others. A solid 7.
Overall: If you are curious about watching this show. I say go for it. You won't be wasting any time watching it. It is a solid 7 romance anime. However, if you were to ask me if this show deserves a re-watch? I would tell you no. Once through is good enough.

Have you ever worked so hard at something and never seen your works come to total fruition? And become so absorbed in self hatred that you want to blame others around you? Or think the world is cruel because there is always someone out there who is better than you at something?
This show is phenomenal. And touches on the important aspects of life and the challenges that life provides you. This story follows along some whacky residents in a dorm/apartment area called Sakura Hall. And each of these students have their own stories to bring with them. The challenges that they each face, the
...
solutions they look for, the development and love that they each feel for each other in the end absolutely is breath taking and I was able to relate to this story so much.
The characters! The characters are what make this show so fantastic to watch. At first, the show lures you in with some raunchy ecchi scenes and you ask yourself what land mine you just stepped into. However, the ecchiness dies towards the middle of the show and it focuses on the characters and their developments on what it is to overcome their weaknesses and chase their dreams (run on sentence much?). The characters will make you laugh, they will make you angry, they will make you sad, they will make you cry, but most of all it will make you root for them. The show spends more than enough time on each of the important characters and gives you a unique attachment to each of them. Their build up, the relationships, everything is so natural. It makes you sad that current shows don't spend enough time doing this. Especially in a romance series.
The art is good. I can maybe think of a couple of scenes where you see JC Staff not put enough work into their scenes but they absolutely nail everything correctly. Emotions are displayed so well. The areas surrounding feel so alive. They really did a great job on this.
The Songs slap. There is nothing else to say about it. They just are super catchy and really memorable.
Honestly, this show has quickly become one of my favorite romance animes. There is plenty of romance to go around in the show even if it isn't the main preface of it. This show is about discovery. It is about growing. It is about taking chances in the world. It is about trying to better yourself and not give up when life kicks you on the ground, over, and over, and over again. This show is totally relate-able to everyday people and I feel everyone should have to watch this.
If you see any negative reviews that talk this show down. Don't let them sway you. I put this show off farrrrr too long because of them and I absolutely regret not watching this sooner. This is a fantastic anime and if you are thinking about watching it. Watch it. Don't even hesitate on it!

I really think some of the negative reviews on this anime are a bit unfair or they looked at this a bit too seriously and judged it WAY too early. So I decided to make this my first review in hopes I can persuade a couple of people to give this anime a shot.
I would call this anime a coming of age story where the MC, an adorable, naiive girl, tries to discover what the difference between love and sexuality is as her feelings of the two often mixes when a boy is thrown into her life. This show does a fantastic job of
...
jumping back and forth between the two emotions. It is witty, entertaining, and sometimes head ache inducing since the characters can be quite dense. But in this story, the denseness actually makes sense vs a cheap gag that is always thrown in other Rom-coms that I have seen.
The characters are set at the very beginning. There is no drama. Just a story of a girl falling in love with a boy and doing so in such a cute and positive manner. This is definitely one of the most wholesome shows that I have seen. Yes, there are some moments where you wonder what is wrong with the father, but he is only trying to teach in the only way that he knows and most of them are comedic gags anyways.
That being said, I give this show a 9/10. The story is very well told and stays true to the manga and doesn't skip anything. The character development is very strong and you get attached to the two characters very easily from the beginning. The humor is really good, from the misunderstandings, to the ecchi moments, and to the gags that are thrown around. Not to mention the opening song is very catchy! So give this anime a shot and stick with it to the end! It is a very wholesome show and it is a shame that it has such a low MAL Score.
