Enjoyable manga, funny story. Was kinda happy when it will get adapted into anime and TsudaKen voicing Tatsu. 2 minutes in and I was dumbfounded by the animation. It's like slideshows or voice acted manga or whatever you wanna call it. There is barely any animation. No one asking for a top tier animation, at least make it looks animated lol. With Netflix backing, I thought it would be at least decent but nope. Horrendous. If you don't mind the animation, just head right in. I guess it's just not for me.

So the trailer was actually the end product all along eh?

I don't know why, but almost every chapters made me shed tears. It's not a sad story. Man, Machida-kun is such a good guy. Pure and innocent.

The story is nice. Typical slice of life. But what makes this manga amazing is the characters. Everybody are so nice. Be it Machida himself, Inohara, Machida's family. I thought this was a romance focused manga but I was wrong. It's more than that. Family, friends, divorce, hardships as mothers, siblings, your view on the world and more.

10/10. The art might irritates you sometime because it is simple, non complex drawings. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this manga. ... If you happened to read this review, just go and read it, right now.

I tried not to be too critical when watching this series but I just can't.

Ok. I thought at first, why would Rikka be this way, might me some kind of a trauma and I was right. Alright, justified. Some create a delusions to push away all the pain. I was ok with that if, at the end of the story, she just turned into a normal person and leave all of the chuunibyo shit behind but she did not. She did but only for a while although watching it was depressing. And behold, the one who made her return to her former chuunibyou was ... non other than Yuuta himself. Like dude, are you okay being in a relationship with a mentally disabled girl? He felt responsible because he was the reason who made her that way, and by being responsible was to made her stay in THAT way? WHAT? But well, give credits where it's due. The series did end up with Rikka accepting her father's death and moved on.

Also, her mother was just so irresponsible. She left Rikka and Touka to stay at their grandparents' house and then she just left? Why? Both of your daughters need you after their father's death and you just left? Wtf?

Not to mention the cringe inducing fights urghh. Yeah sure the fight scenes were cool but I can't stand the physical cringe.

Found this anime when I was googling for best comedy anime and decided to put it into to-watch list. Few months later, I decided to watch it and I am not disappointed.

You want a light plot? You got it.

You want comedy? You got it.

You want likeable characters? You got it.

You want feels moments? You got it.

... This anime has its comedy focus but the story that it served was really good. I'm 8 episodes in and some of the moments really made me feel sad because of Ichiko while still manage to make me laugh afterwards.

Overall such an enjoyment for me to watch this anime.

Under no circumstances, do not watch this if you already watched Barakamon. Your expectation will get skewed by Barakamon, expecting something similar but it's not. I can't watch past 2 episodes, tried it but the show failed to get me hooked. It is a spin-off so the the show is really different. Watch this first and then Barakamon, otherwise you will(maybe) feel disappointed by it.

Well, it is a spin-off prequel, not exactly a canon prequel. The character wasn't that interesting. The only character I've seen from Barakamon was Handa himself and Kawafuji and that's it. Maybe other character will get introduced from its sequel ... but I dropped the show, so I will never know.

Anyway, my opinion is based after I watched Barakamon, if you happened to read this, then go ahead and try. Maybe it will get you hooked or maybe not.

I thought this anime was a romance anime and oh boy I could never be more wrong than this. If you are looking for a romance anime, surely not this one but if you are looking for a comedy, gag anime, this one for you. Thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Had a good laugh. I was searching for an anime similar to Barakamon and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun came up. And I was not disappointed, while Barakamon being a lot more of the SoL side, this anime is a complete comedy. Good characters, loved their VAs. Overall a funny anime that I really enjoy.

Story: Loved the story. It's not your typical anime with monsters. The sensei helping the demis throughout the series is really good. It's calming and wholesome. Nothing serious and it's good for someone that looking for anime to chill.

Art & Sound: Nothing specific that I can mention.

Character: Man, I love all of the character. Hikari is the best one. She's hyper and happy go lucky type of a person. All of the demis are good demis. The awkwardness of Satou-sensei is funny and her relationship with the detective is wholesome too. Takahashi as a character is really mature. Initially meeting them just for research and ... curiosity but ended up helping them mold in into the school environment

Overall: I like this anime. Left me in PADS because how enjoyable it is plus not getting a season 2 is a crime lmao.

Story: Well, I liked the idea of the show. Helping each other to win their respective crushes' heart but end up liking each other. Made me cry in some parts especially the part where Ryujii said those things to his mom and knowing the backstory of her. Damn that's quite sad. Imagine being pregnant at 15 and then raising your son alone. Quite a tragic backstory if you ask me. Bad ending tho, I don't really understand why leave after deciding that you should be together? Like what? That was really anti-climatic. Confession? Done. Promised that they would be ... together? Done. Time to left then. I get it, it was to repair Taiga relationship with her family but it just doesn't make sense to dip like that lmao. The only reason I give it a 7 because it ended normally, no cliffhanger bs.

Art: Nothing really considering the year it was produced

Sound: Nothing special

Character: Boy oh boy, Taiga was really a effing bitch innit? Like wtf how can Ryujii stay in a relationship with someone like that. Yes it was an anime but fking hell mate, how was that sweet whatsoever. Selfish, short-tempered, violent, ungrateful bitch lmao and the only thing developed was her love towards Ryujii and some minor parts like her decision to fix her family relationship etc. Hell even Ami had better character development than her. Minorin is just obnoxiously optimistic and I don't understand her friendship with Taiga. They claimed they are bff but can't even sort out their feelings toward Ryujii. Kitamura character after the president confession was like just a placeholder for something to happen. Block the door, here. Pretend that he saved Taiga, here.

Overall: I think the show is overrated tbh. People claimed that it was very good and I decided to give it a go and it;s okay I guess. It's not that bad but I was left disappointed with the show because of the impression from reviews I've read.
