Tokyo Ghoul was by far one of the best, if not the best, anime shows I have ever seen. I already can't wait for the second season
This is probably one of those animes that leave you on a cliffhanger, on the edge of your bed, and so on. It is very magical, and very well made, .. It probably relates to most of us and how we probably didn't fit in somewhere, or at times where, we could never say no. This animie had brought me on the verge of tears (at some parts), so I would also say that it is quite a heart-touching
...
story. It is also full of blood, gore and family troubles. Or comunity. I honestly can't describe how much I loved this animie in particuliar. I recommed it to people who enjoy adventure, being close to tears, ...

The Seven Deadly Sins was a awesome show! I watched the first five episode and I got hooded! I didn't expect to watch this whole anime in just 3 days. That was how cool this anime was. This anime has a nice action scene and a very hilarious scene. Some scenes can made me laugh like hell. This anime has a very soft ecchi as well. So, the story was good, animation, sound, characters are amazing. This show might be a bit cliche, but cliche is not bad at all. I would recommend the people who haven't
watched it to give it a try. It's Shounen/
...
Action/ Comedy/ Romance. Give it a try! :)
10/10
Very awesome season

Story
There's a lot of action. It's all epic action full of testosterone and bad ass violence. There's a plot too. A dime-a-dozen salary man decides to break bad and join the criminal underworld of south east Asia. It's a simple concept executed very well. He decides to join the thug life but hasn't really fully committed to the lifestyle.
Animation
Did I mention there was a lot of action? They were also animated very well. The colors and look of it make it a feast for the eyes. Being set in a tropical environment, you'd expect it
...
to be colorful and it meets those expectations. Pretty ironic considering how dark and bleek of an environment they live in.
Characters
Reality check. No matter how you look at it, each an every character is a horrible person. There might be honor among thing but doesn't make them better people. However, they all accept this and just go along with their lives. My problem is with Rock. He's just so condesending and holier-than-though it's annoying. Everyone else is fine but Rock comes across as whiny and chases fairy-tales too much. The other characters already accept that they're bad people. Rock still tries clinging onto his humanity in an environment that has none.
Overall 9
Great anime overall. If you're looking for a great, fast-paced, ball-to-the wall, action anime then here you go.

This is by far my favorite anime. I loved the characters, the plot and the constant supply of entertainment and action. I really enjoyed the way the whole anime panned out and it never dragged on an arc for too long however it was a litte boring for a while after the S-Class exams.

Let me start off right away by saying; no, I haven't read the manga. Although I had heard about Ranma 1/2 before, it was only since very recently that I came in contact with it. And it just so happens that I prefer watching anime than reading manga.
Besides, everybody keeps saying that the manga is superior, so why would you need me to confirm it for you? And if it is true, than I must truly adore the manga should I ever read it. Though the manga may be better, I will remain ignorant of that for this review.
Story - 7/10
This is the deciding factor
...
whether you are going to like Ranma 1/2 or not. Let me put it this way; if you were expecting your typical long-runner shounen anime with story arcs of 30 episodes (or more) each, with multiple, powerful bad-guys, then you are looking in the wrong spot. Ranma 1/2 is not like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball or Bleach. It simply doesn't take itself serious enough for that. Basically, it's an 161 episode long, episodic romantic comedy with a good dose of action. There are no major villains, no battles to decide the fate of the world, no casualties and no story arcs. That being said, if you enjoy these collections of short, silly, light-hearted scenarios, then you'll probably enjoy Ranma 1/2. If not, I suggest you skip this one completely.
So storywise, there's not much going on here, but naturally there is a plot. It follows 16 year old Saotome Ranma, who, during a training journey through China with his father, Genma, falls into a cursed spring at Jusenkyo. It was in this spring that a young girl tragically drowned some 2000 years ago. Now, a curse rests on Ranma, and whenever he is splashed with cold water, he transforms into a red-headed girl! He transforms back when doused with warm water. I don't think I need to tell you what awkward situations this can bring. But he is not the only one. His father, Genma, fell into a spring where a panda drowned, thus causing him to turn into a panda. A little later, they both return to Japan, where Genma has made a promise with his old fellow trainee Soun Tendo that his son was to marry one of his daughters and inherit the Tendo Anything-Goes-Martial Arts Dojo. Ranma's fiancée turns out to be Akane Tendo, a tsundere prototype. And you guessed it! They don't get along at all, and constantly deny their engagement to one another.
More characters pop up as the show progresses, such as Ryoga Hibiki, the directionally challenged rival of Ranma, who transforms into a black piglett, dubbed by Akane as P-chan, and Shampoo, an Amazon sworn to kill girl-type Ranma (for a little while at least) and marry boy-type Ranma. She turns into a kitty when splashed with cold water.
For pretty much the rest of the anime, several boys fall in love with Akane, several girls fall in love with Ranma, and even girl-type Ranma (aka the pigtailed girl) gets some attention. Ranma strives to lift his curse, is challenged by a whole array of goofballs to some bizarre forms of martial arts (dining martial arts?) and struggles with his relationship with Akane. And that's pretty much all I can tell you. Really, there's not many risks for spoilers.
Animation - 7.5/10
Taking into account that this anime is relatively old (around 20 years), I really don't feel like I can complain about it. I haven't seen many anime of this age, so I can't compare it all that well. But to me, at least, the art and animation is satisfactory. I have noticed some small errors, such as Ranma's hair being colored black in certain shots while he was in girl form. These errors are fairly rare though. Lipsynching is a little sloppy most of the times, but that's not such a big bother. Animation does what it needs to do, albeit a bit on the simplistic side mostly. In short, if you like this kind of old-school style, you should appreciate it.
(Also, though it might not look like it, this anime contains nudity, so be warned)
Sound - 9/10
For an oldie, I found the sound quality to be really good compared to others like Dragon Ball. The casting and voice acting is spot on, nearly every character, period. Overacting is not an issue, since it's generally a comedy. The soundtrack consists of some very memorable, recognisable and fun tracks. Wether they're battle themes or play during the funny slapstick scenes, they will always stick to you. Then again, if you've watched 161 episodes, you are at least going to remember some music anyway.
Since this is a long-runner, there's multiple OP's and ED's. Some are very catchy, while others are rather forgettable. But no matter what, you will never in your life forget about the very first opening theme and the second season's ending. It's physically impossible!
Characters - 8/10
There is barely any character development. Yeah, since this anime is episodic, don't count on the characters' personalities changing. With the exception of Ranma and Akane growing towards eachother more, and perhaps Ranma's and Ryoga's relationship, what you see in the beginning is what you gotta deal with for the rest of the series. Akane is the perfect tsundere, and possesses all necesarry qualities, 'nuff said. Ranma's personality doesn't change when he turns into a girl, but he's not afraid to take advantage of his curse. He's just as stubborn, thick-headed and arrogant as his fiancée Akane, so they usually end up squabbling. In a way, Ranma is a tsundere too. Shampoo is a sneaky girl that wouldn't mind resorting to dirty tricks to win Ranma all for herself. Ryoga is quite resentful towards Ranma, mainly because he too has a crush on Akane. When facing Ranma, he's aggresive, but when with Akane, he turns into a major softy. Mousse is a short-sighted fighter who is in love with Shampoo, and has a few bones to pick with Ranma. Kuno has a crush on both Akane and girl-type Ranma. He's arrogant, and possibly the biggest imbecile of the show. Both Genma and Soun are birds of the same feather. They're cowards and appear to be completely useless in a real fight. And the last one I want to adress is Happosai, Soun and Genma's old master. He is the resident "ero-jiji", whose main hobby is stealing women's underwear. He's also a total jerk, and the most hated resident of the Tendo dojo.
Ranma 1/2 has a huge array of characters, and though they may be stereotypical and extreme, they are the driving force behind the anime. It's those over-the-top character traits that make the show fun to watch, and put our main hero in yet another sticky situation.
Conclusion - 8/10
I found Ranma 1/2 to be a fun ride, and I'll definitely check the OVA's and movies later. However, though it has good qualities, it will not appeal to everyone. Heck, I'm not even sure what demographic this anime tries to target, but I suppose it's largely a shounen. If you don't mind episodic, romance mixed with martial arts and overall silliness, give this one a 8 😆😆😆😂😂😂

Bleach is one of the three so-called "mainstream shonen animes"; together with Naruto and One Piece these three are immensely popular, and the topic of endless comparison among their fans set out to prove that their favorite is the best out of them. They simply refuse to exit their fanboyism to view the series in an objective light, which is a shame, because they are probably missing out on great adventures, which is the case of Bleach in many ways. If you want my review short and good, give Bleach a try no matter what people have said, as it, despite a lot of shortcomings,
...
presents a most interesting and enthralling universe.
The concept seems pretty basic at first; there's the Soul Reapers (Shinigami), empowered souls who guide departed human souls to Soul Society, the afterlife deimension, formed after a Feudal Japan. They also fight Hollows, evil and malevolent spirits, to protect living humans and souls alike. So, I assume you have read the plot summary, which covers the basics of the first story arc, which is basically the arc where we are introduced to the main main cast of Bleach; the standard, headstrong, rash and protective teenage shonen hero, his voice of reason in the form of a girl, his arrogant beglassed rival, the ditzy klutz girl with big boobs, and the large, stoic type.
Towards the end of said arc however, a real plot appears, events are set into motion, and before long, it has escalated into an assault on said Soul Society a rescue mission from our team of 4-5 heroes, who fight their way through shinigami of all kinds trying to reach their goal, conveniently placed in the middle of this Society. In this arc, you'll get lots of great action and meaningful fights, bottled together with an extremely large and colorful cast of characters, flashbacks and an interesting plot. It all builds up one hell of an end to the arc, 60 or so episodes into the show, where a most intersting twist takes place. And said arc ending is in each and every way the climax of Bleach.
Which is its problem. From there it goes steep downhill to two arcs of slow-paced filler, which lowers your excitement a great deal of levels, and from there the show never manages to get you hooked as much as it did during the Soul Society arc. It does get some interesting new aspects and revelations durign the following Arrancar arc, but it never gets really exciting, nor does it get that much greater during the Hueco Mundo arc. It's just too much fighting, and a re-used "save the damsel in distress" plot. The colorful cast is not seen as much anymore, and aside some interesting emotional developments courtesy of the former klutz girl, there's not a lot to it, and most fights don't have the same enthralling depth to them which made the fights in SS so unique. Now it's more a display of unique powers, and whatever motivations the bad guys had for their fighting is revealed only after the actual fights, which in ways ruins things. Also, there's a few plot holes to speak of, but nothing large.
However, aside the completely random filler arc (which re-used several plot elements from the story), Bleach has shown potential for improvement lately, and it keeps expanding its cast endlessly, which makes the universe seem living in many ways, so we can all only hope that Bleach will improve gradually. However, I sincerely doubt that it will ever be restored to how great it was at its peak, namely the Soul Society rescue arc.
It does have a lot of shortcomings, yet it is a most enjoyable watch still. Now, why is that? The answer is the unexpectancy factor it has. Due to its vast cast and great universe, you can't really know what comes next, only make qualified guesses. What kinds of powers will that character have? What is the villain really up to? And what's with that guy? What will happen next? Who knows, who knows. So one could say that the true strength of Bleach lies in its cast, which can bring about mysteries, plot twists and other aspects of awesomeness, and cover up for a somewhat lacking storyline.
So what about the asesthetics? there's plenty of people who believe that the visual and auditory aspects of anime are just as important as any plot or character development. And Bleach delivers here, in many ways.
The animation quality is quite the hassle to discuss, because it is so varying in quality. At its worst it has low frame rates, offset character designs and framed action, while at its best it is vivid, meticulous and full of soft motions and beautifully animated special and lighting effects. Most of the time however, it is decent. Not average, but not in any way anything bragworthy. Expect some ups and downs in this department.
The soundtrack however, is very great. It is greatly varied, and is renewed per story arc, introducing new tunes often whilst keeping the old ones around too, and this variation is intrinsical of any above-average soundtrack. It stays perfectly in tone and atmosphere with the current events, and feature everything from upbreat, adrenaline-pumping electric guitar pieces to melliflous piano pieces, and standard comedic moment tracks. The opening and endign themes feature a lot of types and genres, from the serene and sentimental to rap and rock. And pop, of course.
I said it in the beginning, and I'll say it again; try out Bleach at least once, desptie what Narutard, shonen haters or anyone else have said. It's pretty enjoyable despite its lacks and faults, mostly in thanks to its great cast.
Overall 10

Btooom!
This was a good anime with a pretty decent premise. I enjoyed watching it, and I could probably watch it again if I wanted to. However, this really isn’t the best of the all of the survival game animes out there. And this anime probably could have been better if it weren’t for a few things.
Story: 6.5/10
With survival games being so damn popular and so overdone, you really need to do something new with it if you want to make it into something special. Sure, having a bunch of people who have earned the hate of people they know be nominated
...
for a deadly survival game is a great idea, but what’s the point of such a large cast if you’re not going to do anything with all of them. I hardly know anything about most of the characters and I REALLY, REALLY wanted to learn more about them! Like there was this one kid who liked to kill for fun. He didn’t care about life and would snap at any adult who tried to talk sense into him. He was very interesting and I wanted to see more of him. I wanted more insight into what he was thinking and I would’ve wanted to see a little more of his past. I also wanted to know more about Ryouta’s family so I could understand better where things went wrong. Also it may just be me, but it seemed like halfway through the show, they changed the rules on when you can use the bombs so I got kind of confused at some point. It also amazed me how quickly the two leads forgot about their comrade just for the sake of fanservice. They also ended it in a terrible way. The people who made the game claim that there is wrong with the island that the nominees are playing on, and then they just end it there. I wanted to know what was wrong with the island. I wanted more insight on the characters. You see, this is the problem with twelve episode series. FEW stories can be fully told in just 12 episodes! I wish they would’ve provided an explanation of some sort or actually went through with making a second season. So much build up, and yet so much letdown.
Animation: 7.5/10
The character designs were all very interesting and unique. I liked all of them. However, sometimes the background seemed really blurry. I’m not sure if this was done on purpose or not. Anyway, all of the fights scenes were done well and were pretty exciting.
Sound: 8/10
Not much to say here except that all the characters sounded great. I will say however, that this was my first time hearing the voice of Kanata Hongo (Ryouta’s seiyuu) and he sound really cool! They should really give him more roles in more anime. I think that the kid who liked to kill for fun sounded a little older than he probably should have, but it didn’t bother me that much. Besides that, the opening and ending themes were good.
Characters: 8.5/10
Whenever a new character wasn’t being introduced or returning for another appearance, Ryouta was pretty much responsible for holding the show up. He was a very likeable guy who spoke out when he disagreed with something and made good plans and stuck with them. He also had some really great character development. I liked him a lot, he was very relatable and I was rooting for him the whole time. Unfortunately, Himiko was pretty bland most of the time. She never really did anything helpful and just needed to be rescued most of the time. And when she was rescued, she was usually very ungrateful. Of course, all of this was blamed on her androphobia. Now, she has a perfectly good reason for her androphobia but for whatever reason, they liked to pass it off as humor. There would be scenes were Ryouta would ACCIDENTLY see her naked and she would go all Louise from Zero no Tsukaima and Taiga from Toradora! on him! And I would just stare at the screen and go REALLY?!?!? REALLY?!?!?! CAN’T YOU GUYS TAKE THIS A LITTLE SERIOUSLY?!?!?!? NUDITY IS NOT ALWAYS FUNNY AND BESIDES, HIMIKO KNEW IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!! SO KNOCK IT OFF!! Anyway, besides the kill-loving kid, I also liked the lawyer, the defense force officer, and the doctor. There were other interesting characters too but I won’t talk about them here. But, I will say that they all deserved more screen time.
Overall: 7.5/10
This really was a good show, but it is in desperate need of a second season.

I had to force myself to write this review. The reason I had such difficulty is because it is hard to organize my thoughts. This anime was so close to absolutely incredible, so close to a perfect 10 in my book, but at the same time I knew that it had major flaws all the way through.
so im adding this part because I didnt really talk about the flaws that I mentioned. However keep in mind that these flaws are truly personal preference. The story is the story, and I thought the story was good, however personaly I was not satisfied
...
with the end. This is a personal prefence, unlike many anime at least they reached the end.
flaws:
--nothing worked out in the end. They accomplished their goal but the cost was far too much.
--moments that were supposed to be sad and upsetting was instantly remedied by fan service and stupid and fake smiles.
--the bad guys were not bad guys, they were half way in between. So it felt even worse when they beat one of the "bad guys". This skewed the sense of right and wrong horribly, making you think that maybe the enemies werent wrong.
Those are the big ones. Some of the deaths were written off as nothing when they should have been much heavier on the hearts of the characters.
I still dont know if I can agree with myself on this scoring, but I will give you my thoughts on the anime and hopefully you will be able to decide if it is worth watching.
Story: The story was incredible. Right from episode 1 it was easy to see that this story was going to be big. However unlike most animes it actually held that intensity at pretty much every part of the story. If you love story driven anime then this is among those that you should watch. It is epic, lots of bad things happen, lots of good things happen, your mind will constantly be fearing and excited about what is going to happen next. At the end you will know that the grand scale of the anime puts it at the top of the list. Now as a note on my personal feelings on the story, it did not end in a way that I felt was satisfying. Nothing seemed to work out in a way that left me with a desire to go back and watch it again. The ending did not make me say to myself "wow that is a 10/10 anime".
Animation: The animation was nice. In many animes you can find at least a short part where the animation is somewhat derpy, however I cant recall many (if any) parts that were stupidly chopy or strange. The action sequences were good and smooth. fanservice is always appreciated, but they had a very reasonable amount and didnt get carried away.
Sound: the OST is a HUGE deal to me, and Akame ga Kill nailed it. The OST sets you right in the time period, right in the situation, right in the mood. I loved it and everything was well placed. I cant really judge the voice actors, its hard to make that decision when you dont speak their language, but they seemed legit. All other sounds were good, not too distracting but still there, they added to the anime rather then distract from it. Lastly the opening and ending themes nailed it. Fast paced opening song with action scenes to rare you to go, but soothing or even sad song to close it (I guess I just like that, kind of the same as the first Attack on Titan op/end).
Characters: This is the tough one. The characters were uniqe and cool, but they were the part that had the major flaws. The reason I say this is because they sometimes set the mood off horribly. Moods that should have been depressing were basically ignored. A depressing event would occur, the anime studio did a great job of setting the mood at that time. However, in mere minutes into the next episode or current episode, they were cheering each other up and making it all ok again. This was the case from pretty much all of the bad things that happened. For me, it is important that the anime makes me want to get into it. I want to see what happens next, I want to see the bad guy at his best and the good guy on top on the end. This anime did that until they started wisking off important events like they were nothing. It broke the feeling like I was right in the middle of the anime and that is a huge putoff for me.
Now while that hurt my view on the characters they were still good characters. Nearly all of the characters were awesome. Lots of cool fights between them. They never seemed to have the conversations that they needed to have to push this anime to a 10/10 though. But there was some great back and forth.
Overall: This was a great anime. I think that most people will enjoy a large majority of it. It was simply not perfect, and I think that is all I can say about it. I highly recommend watching this anime

Well, I bought into the hype. This show lives up to it.
Story: The world in this anime is amazing. A weird Middle Ages-type world, weird humanoid things running around eating people, weird cord-type devices used to move around like Spiderman? It's immersive from the start. The explicit material is insane and puts you on the edge of your seat--I gasped plenty times throughout the show, just for how brutal and insane the gore was. Also, this anime deals with an extremely mature storyline that seems to come out of left field (**SPOILER:** Mikasa's backstory), which I thought was a nice touch. Every episode of this
...
show is completely interesting--perfect for a binge watch, though it moves kind of slowly towards the end. The underlying themes of corruption brought into this show at the end, which will (probably) be expanded on next season, made the show just that more interesting to me. Only one bad note--the military formation stuff got really confusing to me, but without going back to try to understand much of it I could still decipher what was going on.
Characters: The characters in this show are mostly one-note and can be identified by one or two characteristics that they stick to in each episode: Eren is determined, Mikasa likes to save Eren a lot, says "EREN!" all the time, and is badass, Sasha likes food and is nervous, etc. I don't think this anime really *needs* a ton of character development, THERE ARE GIANT SKINNED HUMANOIDS EATING PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. This is a story-driven anime, though I will admit if there were complex characters it would push a wonderful anime into "best anime I've ever seen" territory.
Overall: Immersive story, gore and twists that will make you gasp and/or scream expletives at the top of your lungs, but one-note characters and some slow episodes.

This is a spoiler review
Guess this came out more fanboyish than I thought it would, but I would highly recommend seeing this series for yourself just to make sure the critics are right.
Overall: 9/10 - While the premise of being stuck in a video game seems interesting, it's been done and the truth is that you don't get very far with that alone. SAO did an amazing job of focusing on characters and keeping things fresh. The characters really do make this anime what it is, which is an engaging and memorable series based on a somewhat cliche premise. Animation and art
...
is beautiful. Overall, this is down as one of my all time favourites.
Recommended for: Video game fans, action fans, anybody who likes the premise.
Breakdown:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: 9.25/10-Excellent
Creativity/uniqueness bonus points: Not super unique.
Humour bonus points: +.5 There are some pretty funny parts. Not all of it really hits its mark though.
General Plot and Structure 3.5/4 - The premise of "stuck in a videogame" sounds really awesome, but the reality is that it's really hard to keep your attention after the first 45 minutes or so when the novelty wears off. Luckily, SAO did a really good job at keeping it interesting by focusing on the characters and having some nice twists (though not everybody appreciated one of these twists). There are some plot holes, though nothing significant I wouldn't say the plot is a masterpiece, but it was very well done. . If anything, it gets better the farther in you get.
Pacing 1.5/2 - The pacing in the first half is very quick, I assume because nobody wants to sit and watch somebody grind away for hours. Even so, it did lag in a couple of episodes. Overall though, it was well-paced and engaging.
Emotional impact: 2.75/3 - It was very touching. The romance was probably the best part, and I'm not normally a romance fan. The hatred you will feel at one point towards one of the characters was truly shaking.
Conclusion 1/1 - The conclusion was really good overall, I especially like that it wasn't rushed.
Annoying/mindset-breaking negative points - None
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Animation: 9/10-Excellent
Artwork 2.75/3 - The artwork in SAO is great. Backgrounds and setting are beautiful and unique.
Character Designs 2.75/3 - Character designs are all interesting and there is only one part where I got mixed up between which was which.
Action Animation 1.5/2 - Fight scenes are usually very good, but definitely could have been better given what this is about.
Other animation 2/2 - Animation in most scenes is great.
------------------------------ ------------------------------ ------------------------------ -------------------
Characters: 9/10-Excellent
Personality 2.75/3 - Aside from one 12 minute or so section that kind of bugged me, characters were excellent and rounded. While side characters generally don't do much, they added extra interest and depth to SAO. One villain is by far my most hated character, and that's saying something.
Development 2.75/3 - Development is excellent in the main characters.
Uniqueness 3.5/4 - All of the characters were relatively unique.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound: 8.5/10-Incredible
Voice Acting (Sub) 3/3 - I quite liked the voice acting.
Music 4.5/6 - The opening and closing pieces are both good. The soundtrack during the show was excellent.
