prolly one of those works that truly justifies the tag hidden gem.
finally finished a manga long after Insomniacs after school. A very unique manga. maybe make a special genre for it, Its like reading a stand up routine between 2 guys (the goofy and the straight guy) talking about the most random-est shit known to mankind, it might not be your cup of tea but its worth a try if you lovely watching stand ups but this time you'll be reading it, just 2 guys beings guys. just 2 friends being friends. whole manga is a lovely conversation.
The art is clean and simple, perfectly
...
suits the requirement and the plot? there is no plot, its what you can say "episodic" but it all ties up in the end, wont spoil that now

Finished Billy Bat! what a pay off.
Never read anything like this before. a thriller mystery of highest standards, twists at every turn. Its astonishing to think a person came up with "monster", "20th century boys" and "billy bat" while many mangakas struggle to finish one off. And just like his previous work, excellent characters, perfectly built and supports the plot. The only complain would be they didn't explain the time travel which happened earlier in the series other than that cant find any short comings.
Highly recommended if you are a sucker for thriller mystery as you wont be disappointed picking this one.

Ghibli doing what Ghibli does best. Giving you a complete immersive experience of a world that probably doesn’t exist.
THE BAD –
I was left with many questions when I finished the movie which remained unanswered. Mostly about characters and their background, I believe for a 2-hour long film this shouldn’t be impossible. For example, the history between Howl and the witch of wastes, the curse on scarecrow, the relation between Howl and Calcifer and few more. Like few rough patches in a beautiful painting, it kept daunting on me.
This one is not particularly a bad aspect of the movie but I felt the soundtracks were not
...
up to the ‘Ghibli standards’, I can’t remember a single OST except that outro, that was beautiful.
THE GOOD –
You know when I say Ghibli, the first thing that will come to your mind is its heart-warming Art and Animation, nostalgic and pleasant. So yeah that didn’t disappoint, rather it was one of Ghibli's best. Mesmerizing sceneries plus pretty character designs, great work done by voice actors to compliment one aspect with another, I don’t know how to explain but the voice felt genuine, genuinely matching the characters they were associated to.
The plot felt fresh, maybe because I haven’t watched much fantasy romance. But it wasn’t like other “prince saves the country girl” type of used up material, I might just call it ahead of its time, A Love story beyond beauty and insecurities. I don’t wanna dive deep into and spoil things for you so I might just leave it here.
I enjoyed it thoroughly, I would recommend it to anyone honestly. It’s a great 2 hour break you could ask for from your busy day. But I still feel it was missing something and I can't pinpoint it. So yea this was my short review, thanks for reading!

“It’s not like people are worth anything just because they were born. That’s why we have to find our own purpose”
STORY (8/10) –
This is rather difficult to describe without spoiling much but the story follows a bunch of high school students completely drifting away in another void like dimension and awaking superpowers that are unique to each other. We follow them as they try to unravel the mysteries behind the causes and effects of “this world”. It might sound simple but worry not the story will keep you hooked and confused at the same time!
ART (10/10) –
Art, Art is something which makes this anime standout!
...
When I say "stand out", I mean it like a butterscotch ice-cream between all those boring Chocolates. It looks fresh out of the oven with many wallpapers-worthy scenes. It compliments the anime’s theme really well. Aesthetic when needed and also hallucinogenic, like an acid trip. You’ll understand what I am talking about when you watch the season finale. The art style will warm your heart and might also make your jaw drop.
SOUND (9/10) –
Strange thing this anime has no opening theme but worry not it has a banger as its ending so look forward to it and don't you dare try skipping it. This show has some phenomenal soundtracks thanks to Shouji Hata who is also working for Vinland saga season 2. “Let there be light again” being one of my favourites.
CHARACTERS (7/10) –
Characters might be its lowest point in my opinion, but they did have some great potential which was left unopened or rather unexplored. But that won’t take away anything from our protagonists Mizuho, Nagahara and Nozomi. They are well written and fit quite perfectly into this chaotic plot. Personally, I like the Nagahara-Nozomi combo just because of how Nozomi helps Nagahara develop into a better character. Leave these 3 aside and it feels like a glass half empty, this doesn’t mean the others were poorly written but its just that they were not utilized to their maximum potential.
ENJOYMENT & OVERALL (9/10) –
Sonny Boy is an Experience, Mind-expanding, Philosophical and an Exclusive Experience which you won’t find anywhere else. You just need to be a little open minded while watching it. Let the plot develop and don’t try to find logic because its much more than that. Personally, it’s my favourite from Summer 21 season, but I am not saying it’s perfect because there are quite a few plot holes and It might get confusing but bear with it because in the end its all worth it. If you’re a fan of Tatami Galaxy, this definitely is tailor-made for you. From art to music, its pure ecstasy.

"Did anything change? even the tiniest bit? I wanted someone to witness it if it did. Be it 10 years from now or even a 100 years from now, Thats all i ask of you."
Story-(9/10)
Manji, our protagonist who is infamously known as "hundred man killer" for killing 100 innocent men, is granted immortality by a mysterious old hag using blood worms, for which Manji pledges to kill 1000 evil men to atone for his 100 killing. In his journey he meets Rin who seeks Manji's assistance for killing those who murdered her parents.
The journey is for you to read, but i can tell you
...
this is not just your average revenge plot, its beautiful to witness how this develops into more complex story using only revenge as its base. the people they meet, the dilemma they face and the separations they endure makes this a thrilling read worthy each second of your time.
Art-(10/10)
This is one those manga where you can see mangaka's growth as the chapters goes on. The development in his art is astonishing and the transformation from pencil sketches to digital art is breathtaking, its as clean as ever with top detailing. Volume covers and chapter banners is a story of its own, i looked forward to them everytime i finished a chapter hoping to start the next chapter with a mesmerizing Art, and i was never disappointed, even a bit.
Character-(10/10)
For me Characters are the most important aspect in an ani-manga. They are the soul epicenter of any story no matter how great the art is. If the characters are not upto that standards then all is wasted. Be it million dollars animation or out of the world art work, a great character cast will carry anything. And this manga provides you that.
Our protagonist manji who is an immortal, yet not presented as an over powered character but portrayed as very much killable. This manga has one of the best antagonist/side character called Shira, he is gonna make you hate each and every part of him, i can bet my balls on it. As for our main character Anotsu, i wasn't even sure if i should hate him or side with him even till the end. Mangaka has poured his heart and soul into writing this manga and it shows. each character are on their own journey and you will follow them all in their quest.
Enjoyment and Overall-(10/10)
i dont care if i sound biased but its genuine i enjoyed each and every page reading this. for which this is one of my favourite Manga right now. Hate me for this but i rate it among the ranks of Vagabond and Berserk.
I would recommend this to anyone who is into samurai genre and not bothered by gore and tortures, if you cant stand it then maybe this is not for you. Blade of the immortal is a journey, so remember to enjoy it at your own pase. Also just realised this is my first Manga review haha.
"For endless life to witness endless death"
Thank you for reading!

Watching a 1993's movie in the year 2022 made me feel i went back in time, purely a time traveling experience.
Story-(6/10)
Its a story about Taku, Rikako and Yutaka. Rikako being a transfer student from Tokyo. Its a story of how Rikako impacts their life especially Taku in chaotic and dramatic ways. I didn't feel like there was a solid plot to it, its mostly documents their life from college to their graduation and ends at reunion with some random events taking place in between.
Art-(10/10)
Let me be honest, this movie is nothing without its art, its pure aesthetic even after 30 years so yes the art
...
and animation has actually passed the test of times. It has some great attention to details which some of the modern movies lack. well this is Ghibli, you cant expect any less. From sceneries to characters, its top class.
Sound-(7/10)
I don't have much to say about the sound to be honest, there was nothing bad about it neither there was anything exceptionally outstanding. it was perfect for the scenes and moods as far i remember. and voice actors really did their part, impeccable.
character-(6/10)
Personally i felt this move was centric around 2 characters, yea there was the 3rd but he wasn't the "main" main you know? Taku was too good to be real but at the same time he was decent character, so no complaints there. It was great to see him progress as person, moving to Tokyo as he graduated and holding no resentment against his friend. Rikako was a stand out character, you can say the movie revolved around her, a bit too much in my opinion. She played the character of self centered, spoiled and troublesome daughter perfectly. its a pity they didn't dive more into her character. As for the side characters, they don't really matter much in this movie, there was no attempt to bring them it which is quite understandable if you look at movie duration.
overall-(7/10)
I will recommend this to you if you have really nothing else to do or if you just wanna relax without thinking what's happening in the plot. Its not your typical Ghibli Movie, its really different compared to others, there's no fantasy element to it but slice of life, school drama with a pinch of romance. And a lots of beautiful aesthetic. Characters could be relatable if you had any problematic girl in your life XD, you might get bored or you might be in awe with the art style. Movie duration is perfect for a watch so you wont have to suffer for long. in my case I enjoyed it, its definitely better than the overall ratings it has on MAL. I guess that's it for the review, I know its not good enough but i will try to improve as I progress, thank you for reading <3

“A work of art is finished the moment you give up on it.”
story (9/10)-
The story follows our protagonist "Yatora Yaguchi" who works hard to uphold his academic grade but at the same time he is unmotivated and spends his day hanging out with his unmotivated friends. We follow him as he finds his true calling of his life and grows more into it and as well as a person.
art (7/10)-
You could say that the animation is not this anime's strongest point but at the same time its not bad either. at some places it was sloppy or should i say lazy? Inconsistent is the
...
right word for it. But its quite decent for a slice of life anime, you wont notice much if you're not trying to nit pick.
sound (8/10)-
AH YES, the sound. I still cant get over its ending theme, Its a vibe that fits perfectly with this anime and so is it opening. (don't skip it alright) i had some problems with the background scores like 2 different moods overlapping, it just didn't feel good. other than that there's not anything bad about it, they compliment the scenes perfectly and some even relaxes you.
character (9/10)-
Characters are the most integral part of any anime, not just the main but also the supporting characters and i love the fact that this show didn't betray them. from our protagonist to falling in love with making art to Ryuji who picks up Japanese art instead of western style just so her grandma doesn't feel betrayed. i want to talk more in details about other characters but that might just spoil things for you XD. In all honesty this has a great cast, someone might make you smile like crazy by looking at them while other might make you jump inside your devices just so you could give them a comfortable hug to ease their pain <3
Overall (8/10)-
I enjoyed thoroughly while watching this show and there's no doubt about it. from start to finish. after final episode i found myself begging for more. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to watch a deep slice of life. its something more than just art, its about the struggles people face and the happiness they taste while overcoming it. its about expressing yourself, be it via language or something you genuinely love doing. I would like to ending this with a quote from this anime,
"Don't use your communication skills to hide what you really feel. Use them to strengthen what you want to express and win over others."
Thank You for reading!

"If a building can disappear in a single day....its like it was never there. its kind of like when people die."
I will try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible. So lets begin, Jin-rou is not everyone's cup of tea i can vouch for it. Its a decent watch if you ask me but if you're expecting some over the top romance or some unrealistic action sequences because the genre tags say so than its definitely not for you.
This movie takes place in japan, post world war 2 with civil unrests and terrorists running rampant. Our protagonist is "Kazuki Fuse" from counter-terrorism unit. later
...
mentally traumatized as he fails in stopping a young teenager from carrying suicide bombing, for which he is sent back to the military academy for re-evaluation. As the story progresses the "romance" part of the movie starts to open up and so the government conspiracies.
The art is beautiful, nostalgic and smooth. Music is melodious and fits the scenes perfectly. There could have been more effort into giving characters some depths because it was lacking. as a viewer i couldn't sense just how much of a "best friends" they were. on the other hand our 2 protagonist were pretty reasonable, realistic and honest in my opinion, specially towards the end so no complaints there. if anything its the side and supporting characters that were lacking.
The movie isn't bad, its not that great either - its just good. I would recommend it to you if you're into slow psychological drama, you might love it. The art and music wont disappoint you either and the secret ingredient to enjoy it is to keep your expectations low. to sum it up i would like to end it with a quote from its description "Jin-Rou is a heart-wrenching tale of a man treading the fine line between human and beast, ultimately discovering to which side he truly belongs."
