This Series made me go Berserk!
To my understanding from people that are fans of this series, Berserk has been cursed with awful adaptations of its source material. With some ranging from passable to outright dreadful. After watching this I can say it leans more to the former.
This version from 1997 has some major flaws but was quite unique in terms of production quality. The story of Guts and his struggles with finding a place where he truly belongs was a decent enough hook for bringing the viewer into the world. The love triangle subplot with Guts, Griffith and the Casca did hold down the
...
story in my opinion. To me, it was pretty clear what Guts and Griffith had together so I didn't really find the Casca moments that impactful or necessary. All the other characters in the show are not memorable/one-note and I barely remember any of them. This show also ends on a pretty big cliffhanger that also leaves some major plot holes. I did like the very bleak tone it ended on though, leaves quite the impact.
Audio and visual wise it is a typical average budget 90's anime. The art style has its charm but the lack of budget and reused animations/stills is apparent. On the music front, it's pretty lacklustre other than the Gut's theme. Which becomes quite overused as the show goes on. Watching the dub the voice acting is decent enough, with the main three characters being the best of the bunch (Though Casca's voice actor did a better job in Persona 5).
Overall having never been introduced to Berserk before I'd say this is a decent adaption. Has charm and a memorable final arc that will leave an impression on most viewers. Too bad it's just not very memorable before that and is held back by budget constraints.

I could not dream of a worse anime movie
When I originally heard of this Bunny Girl Senpai movie, my first thought was that it could potentially be an improvement to the problems I had in the show and be a solid mystery romance story. After watching it however I realized I was wrong for believing in such an idea. The movie is even more terrible than the show.
Easily the worst factor in this mess is the plot, which basically revolves around the main mc not being able to make up his mind on which girl he likes; the mysterious past flame or the bunny
...
girl. This is stupid because it's an unnecessary conflict that doesn't feel natural to the development that took place over the show. They also add a time travel component which instantly takes away all the stakes and makes it more shitty. The way it is used in the movie is honestly so half-assed, with no effort put into the way it operates in the film. On a final note, the ending was like something a 2-year old wrote, the way it wraps up makes no sense on how the movie's conflict with the "new girl" was resolved.
The character side is also weak, especially with male mc. The way he acts to the other individuals in the movie is pretty awful and made it hard to empathize with such a pathetic man. The two main ladies are better but overall they aren't very memorable. The movie also tried to shoehorn the rest of the anime cast like the awful short-haired girl which was a terrible decision. These other characters barely do anything in the film and waste run time that could be spent on better things, like fixing the time travel issues.
Everything visually and sound-wise is passable, it's definitely nothing unique or stylistic that puts new life in this genre of movie. Some of the 3d animations were pretty off-putting too but that's honestly a more widespread problem in this animation era. Still, doesn't help the film though with its bland visuals.
Overall I highly recommend you don't watch this. It is a very unremarkable, muddled and lazy romance movie that somehow is even worse than the shitty show it's based off.

Better Hop Over this Mess
Bunny Girl Senpai was recommended to me as a great show but after watching it is the complete opposite. The first three episodes start off strong with the introduced characters/relationships and overhanging mystery of the "puberty syndrome", but once that is over it does a complete nosedive to awfulness.
Every subsequent arc is terrible, for some reason they keep adding more and more random girls/characters that either serve no purpose whatsoever, or they are just forgotten about after their introduction. Also, the series raises more questions than answers; why does it happen to only girls, etc. Why even bother trying to
...
explain stuff with shitty science, if it makes no sense don't try to explain.
This series could've easily been trimmed to half or less the amount of episodes because what's spent time on is useless. Each new problem after the first arc is solved with no issues and is painfully clear to the viewer how it will play out. The worst offender of this is the arc with short hairs, her entire story means nothing to the plot and is a complete utter waste of time. It was truly horrendous, her character sucks, it's painful to sit through, and should've been cut out of the whole thing.
The art direction for the anime is fine but it has quality dips every so often. Voice/sound work was also solid with mostly good performances but I found some of them such as the sister irritating. The best character for me was the bunny as she had relatively solid growth, mc was a bit one-note/generic but fine.
Overall If you are curious about Bunny Girl Senpai just watch the first three episodes and stop there. Everything else is dreadful to get through and honestly a waste of time. I would not recommend this show just check out Your Name or something else instead. It would be much better than what I had to watch here.

Persona 5 the Animation stole my heart!
Adaptions of video games to other mediums always present problems, and Persona 5 the Animation is no different. Taking inspiration from such an expansive game and condensing it makes the pacing of the show a little wonky, but overall it does a good job covering what transpires over the game.
The weakest point of this series is the art itself and frankly, it's just shite. Nothing looks good in motion, along with a lack of overall detail. The voice acting is the complete opposite, with the game VA's giving great performances that really add to the show.
Overall this is a
...
relatively solid adaptation of Persona 5, minus the terrible art and weird creepy fan service. Major bonus points for including the best waifu/most beautiful girl Sae <3 and thankfully, the worst girl Kasumi (yuck) is not in this rendition.

Quintessential Quintuplets more like Quintessential Trash
This anime is bland, boring and forgettable. On and on the mc is in a "will they won't they" plot, with 5 other cardboard cutouts as "characters" that can be summed up in my opinion as simple archetypes.
The show doesn't even really know what character to spend time on resulting in a mess plot-wise. The mc's backstory is also quite generic and doesn't really inspire much interest to care for him. Quintessential Quintuplets offers nothing in terms of development with the cast, opting for using them just as obstacles for progression with the basic setup. This anime serves as
...
nothing more than a harem fantasy showcase.
The art style and sound design are okay but nothing special that can make it stand out. Overall this show was terrible and I would not recommend wasting time watching it.
