This show is the absolute best ever. So many sex scenes, the mother knows shadow clone jutsu, the kids watch them do it and its so fun. This show is kind of like Toy story, the kid is like the toys, the mother is Andy. unfortunately Buzz LightyeAR ISNT HERE yet.
This show is also kind of like The Simpsons, the guy's penis is like Bart's head, and it is much better then Cars because Lightning McQueen doesn't get sucked.
I do have one complaint however....
WHERES THE ASS, and why is the guy's penis such an egg, you could crack it and a whole chicken comes out.
besides
...
from that 10/10, would watch again, better then Full Metal or The Terminator

Subtle spoilers ahead, while may not be huge or very vague spoilers, do so at your own risks.
Steins Gate, a sci fi anime series based on time travel and to a certain extent real life scenarios. A anime that stayed near or in the top 3 rated animes of this website for years and maybe perhaps years to come too. I'll say this off the bat, it was a nice show the first time I watched albeit years ago, but my re-watch of this show recently and the addition of Zero has changed my opinions of Steins Gate as a overall series, for the better,
...
and rightfully so. However because this is just specifically for the original series, we will not involve zero or connect anything from zero to this review, even if it fills the gap this series has, as in the end the material does not come from this show, moving on.
I'm not gonna be one of those people that say Steins Gate is a masterpiece without flaw and that everything stated in this "masterpiece" was a fabulous and ingenious idea, diving into the convention of time travel theories and quantums already asks for inconsistencies and flawed detail no matter how you put it, because simply, there is no definitive answer. I'm not one of those people to just claim this is the best show of all time just because, even though it is my favourite show, taste are a thing and way too diverse to be able to judge the "perfect" and definitive best anime. However, what i will say, is that it was a absolute blast to watch, at times, even when I re-watched it was at times confusing to watch, and moreover, it was at times incredibly painful and somber to watch. This show pulls on your emotions so strong that you feel like you're tied with hundreds of ropes, pulling at your feelings. Depending on your connection with the characters, more on that later, you will feel outright heartbroken and hurt. That is how strong Steins Gate has resonated with me as a whole, I just loved the way this anime was made. Now the most spoken flaw of this series is the slow pacing, the first ten episodes to be exact, where many people who watched this show feel like it's just a filler, un-needed or time spent on something way too slow that should be spend elsewhere to benefit better. While I can understand and also agree to this sentiment to a extent, ultimately the statement is false, no matter how you put it. off the bat with episode 1 you get a murder mystery, many questionable scenes that make you think, and a supernatural "resurrection" event happening, all in one. Admittedly though, many of the questionable scenes slip from you, like the few seconds sight of the time machine wouldn't really click with you at all, especially since the details were left in the fog. But this itself indicates that steins gate is more than just a "slice of life" romcom. In my view, the slow episodes were needed for us to have some attachments to the character persona that is of Houoin Kyouma, and the introduction and slight developments of other characters, such as Daru, KURISUUTINAAA, Faris, Moeka, etc. The powerful scenes that pull your heart would never be near as effective had we not had these slow episodes to begin with, so my verdict is that the first slow episodes were necessary to make the impact of later episodes just that much better, now moving on to the actual reviews
The story, especially for a sci fi series based around time machines, was put and invented relatively great. The explanation for how this series would use time travel and the quantum theories based to make timelines worked was put together really well, thus making this enjoyable for many people who don't have much of a clue about any scientific involvements, like me hehe, and less confusion which is always a good thing for, like I said, a series about time machines. Since this is based on a VN, there were many route parts left out to be able to work the one, so especially with the d mail re-do saga, seeing the sudden focus go to a side character and a mail they sent can be off-putting, however nevertheless they somehow still pulled through and developed the characters of Okabe and his relationship with Kurisu all to well. The end of the story, regarded as one of the best endings to a anime series ever, and I attest to that, it is quite simply a satisfaction of a ending especially after the amount of dark and heartwrenching scenes we went through. Overall the story is well contrasted, however the last few episodes would feel rushed and not enough suspense, while zero's premise of the show is to fix and add on to this, this still hurts the show as zero is for a whole 'nother review.
The artstyle is subpar, and really that is all there is to say. Nothing over the top but it is just sufficient enough to get the job done.
Sounds were very well done, and the soundtrack, was just absolutely glorious, burrowing some OSTs from the VN it is based on while adding on with series exclusive OSTs is just amazing, when a very impactful scene happens, you are sure to crumble before the music. Words do not do justice to how amazing it is. The opening for the series is a great classic too, but the depth of change to the lyrics based on the Main Character's change in the last few episodes really make it surreal and more meaningful.
Characters were very well developed, obviously our main character Okabe Rintarou, and his mad scientist persona Hououin Kyouma along with Makise Kurisu get the most development
as the show's premise, for the most part, and plot twist is based all around these two. The use of Mayuri is questionable, her presence in the show is just as great as Kurisu, but the use of it makes her feel much less impactful then she really is because she is mostly just the plot device. The other supporting cast are also well developed for the time they were given, specifically Daru and his Daughter, Suzuha.
The enjoyment and overall of the show is just mesmerising, in a wonderful way, I had a absolute blast watching this show, and I sure as hell can say many people who watched this show feel the same as me. There is few inconsistencies and the last few episodes may feel rushed, but in a way this done on purpose anyway as the "sequel", zero, is meant to fill the gaps of episode 22 and 23.
Newcomers who have read my review, I do suggest you watch this show, but if time travelling isn't exactly a thing you like, or you're impatient for the pacing of the show, you're enjoyment may well be immensely less.

Overlord, another anime to follow the huge popularity of isekai animes ever since SAO's anime debut at 2012 which resulted in the sudden increase of the isekai genre. My expectations weren't really that high in the beginning, my growing tiredness of the isekai genre was a huge play and the big hit isekai names like Re Zero were as big of a miss for me, so my guard was lowered, and oh boy did I judge terribly. Immediately after only the first episode I have the urge to continue this anime, it wasn't exactly a 1st episode you would call very fabulous or amazing even,
...
it was subpar, however the direction of which this anime could be going intrigued me enough for me to carry on the series. Suddenly I found that I had finished the entire series in a matter of 3 days. Okay, I also admit the opening also kept me carrying on from episode 1 but as the episodes progressed, the more I wanted to watch, the more I wanted to know how our used to be human protagonist, now Ainz Ooal Gown, plans to adopt to this new world, this isekai, where he is the supreme ruler of one of thr most powerful places as one of the most powerful people. Would he betray his human heritages he once had and go down the road of pure destruction and malicious activities? Or would he perhaps be more lenient to his human feelings and show mercy and sympathy to what was once his own kind? The story of season 1 specifically is and only to be explore this new world, naturally this would also bring forth a bunch of mysteries and plot holes in this series, and kinds like this usually lead the following sequels to have more impact, more twists and in the case of overlord, more more action. To quite a few, this first season would seem plain, but I quite like the setup of the story, I indeed myself enjoyed seeing a supreme ruler merely play as a adventurer while making a name for himself. The art is not something to be overlooked at either, it is no slouch and while it may not have the mind blowing and wonderful animation style from previous action animes like Fate Zero, it was still wonderfully done and in the few times we had a fight, I was not disappointed. Obviously a anime would be plain without sound effects, its like seeing a fight but nobody has enough force in their hands to even make a noise, overlord captures the essence of badassery magic and close quarter combats wonderfully, though there were times where you would question if swords would really make a sound like that, for the most part it was satisfying for the ears while our eyes watch in brilliance, or distress, as we marvel at the artstyle. The characters weren't really anything too special to talk about, while some characters definitely got a plenty few developments and backstory I still felt quite a few of the characters were underused or flat out plain, but I wasn't very concerned since it was only a 13 episodes series, and the characters they were able to give enough development for were certainly done pretty well, but naturally as of quite a few isekai animes, since most of the screen time was focused purely on our main character not too much can be said of others. The enjoyment of this series was really magnificent for me, being really bored of what isekai animes could offer, this particular show gave me hope that not every single genre of this anime has to be such a let down or "woah same old boring story and plot".
New people who have yet to watch this anime, are a fan of isekai, or want a feel of how good isekai can actually be without having truck kun all the time, I suggest you give this show a try, it's really enjoyable and who wouldn't want to see a Minecraft Skeleton explore a world?

The second season of Oregairu, the continuation of a story around a boy's distorted view of life. The action picks up from right where they left off along with a nicely improved artstyle resulting in the protagonist looking less like a human version of a dead fish. The story of searching for the "real thing" never ceases to amaze as 8man's along with Yui's and Yukino's and a additional new character's character development grows along with the plot of the story. The soundtrack is decent though it could definitely be improved (and the opening is absolutely wonderful, one of my favourites). The enjoyment is
...
definitely there, seeing how not only 8man's view on life slowly changes but also Yukino and the involvement of more characters, already introduced in season 1 and new ones, is definitely an view to see and some heartwhelming and shocking scenes are sure to keep you in a daze of excitement or, in certain scenes, confusion. The adaption from the LN is surprising done well and few important details, of any at all, were left out, allowing viewers not have to worry and resort to reading the original source unlike the cases of many others. The premise of the story was already very promising in season 1, and in my own thoughts and opinions, was executed correctly and wonderfully, building up more steam and hype for season 3 in what the main character's social life would continue to grow. Overall Oregairu season 2 was a wonderful sequel to the already outstanding season 1, while the change of animation to some people were left undesired, the looks of Yukino especially, my verdict welcomes the new animation change overall, as the backgrounds' and surroundings' looks such as the school are immensely improved aswell as the design of most characters. For people wondering if this sequel is worth your time, I would highly suggest you continue, you may well find that your love for this series will grow!

The sequel to the well known and one of the highest rated animes of all time, Steins Gate, the anime that took 2011 by storm as the best anime of the year. In my eyes, this show's sequel deserves just as much recognition, if not more, and as deserving of a top rated anime as the original series, because this is without a doubt one of the best executed continuations of a well done story. People usually assume a sequel would destroy a already wrapped up anime heavily, this is not the case for Steins Gate as while it does continue to add onto the
...
plot and story of the already perceived ending of Steins Gate, it does not actually change the outcome, more so, it adds onto it giving more depth and meaning then what was already described. The soundtrack was AMAZING, you want to feel a solemn of despair? Get hit with a piano Gate of Steiner. Want to feel like you just saw a miracle happen before your eyes with enjoyment? Re-awaken captures that feeling immensely well. The original series has done wonders with its own soundtrack, and zero is no exception, while burrowing some key OSTs from the original such as believe me and Gate of Steiners it also opens up more with new additions to give you that extra feeling while seeing a powerful scene in the world of Steins Gate Zero. The artwork is decently done, nothing over the top but it does not lack, for a show like Steins Gate decently done animation is good enough, while I was expecting more of a leap in animation quality, in the most important scenes the studio does seem to add more of a spark and quality to make the impact just that more powerful, so the lack of improvement animation wise can be ignored for the most part as they still keep true to that original Steins Gate anime feel. Character development is done fantastically well, focusing mostly on Okabe Rintarou and Mayuri whilst also adding on depth to existing characters and introducing new characters that also have well done backstories for the most part. Enjoyment overall? Very very much, the slow pacing that the original series suffered the first couple of episodes is not present, but while the immense hole left in the series due to the removal of Kurisu in the story may discourage you to watch this sequel, it has to me too so I decided to keep a distance for a while, how wrong I was, I still found very much enjoyment of this show and in my opinion, deserves a rating of a 10 in my eyes. Is it better than the original Steins Gate? Most will say no, but im part of the minority and would say yes, the set-up of Steins Gate was wonderful and hugely successful, but I still felt a bit lacking on the character that is Hououin Kyouma, a major part of Okabe Rintarou's personality, and even at the end of Steins Gate I felt mildly annoyed at this part of Okabe. Moreover, the lack of pacing in the first 10 episodes still does mildly keep me from giving Steins Gate worthy of the number 10. However, Zero showed me a much more painful side of Okabe, not just for some days like in Steins Gate, but a side and emotion so broken and hurt that Okabe never dared to dawn his signature lab coat we all know and resonate with him, and never appearing or even acknowledging the lab he once felt so connected with. Zero showed me how painful a loss of your loved one to save another is, the art of sacrifice, the acknowledgement of this sacrifice, and living with this sacrifice that only you know and acknowledge, the action you did but nobody else would ever know. You're the only one who can carry this burden, to everyone else this never happened. The pain of living with memories that can never be carried on is already painful, but being the only one to remember, that the specific person is non existent and left no trace. I, myself, was hurt just by seeing our main character, the one we despised when he was acting goofy, but also loved, being a shell of his former self, broke, depressed, mentally unstable. A now normal college student with PTSD whenever someone just mentions of the mere words, time travel. Steins Gate never showed this side of Okabe to this amount of extent, how dark Zero became, even more so then Steins Gate, is a absolute masterpiece to develop Hououin. Additionally, since Zero is a add-on to the original series, the slow pace is not as prominent here, since we are already accustomed to most of the characters in season 2, and the new introduced characters were developed reasonably well within the span of this sequel. Because of how Zero had such a affect on my entire view on anime, what I thought my emotion through anime could only be achieved through meaningless deaths and sacrifices, or amazing fight scenes on shounen animes and empty resurrections just for plot, was once again shown, but not through a ending of a happy romance anime ending, not a confession, not a badass fight scene or even a return of a character. I was being overwhelmed with emotions by a man wearing a lab coat once again and laughing like a maniac. I kid you not, but that scene had me in tears, and the soundtrack was no slouch either, hearing that music as the instruments progressed into stronger power, I knew stuff was gonna go down, but even though I knew I still had tears in my eyes anyway. As of now I have yet to feel such emotion from any other anime to this extent, from something that seems so meaningless.
Fans of Steins Gate, I assure you this sequel is no slouch, fellow lab members,
el psy congroo.
